June 1, 2024 Full Show - Silver Creek Fishing, Prescribed Burn, Kayak Russell Creek

This week we're at Silver Creek catching fish alongside the voice of the show, Chase Wininger! Then, we check out a prescribed burn and talk about the benefits they have for wildlife habitat. Lastly, we hop in our kayaks and catch smallmouth at Russell Creek!

Zoom baby brush hogs or any of the smaller "beaver" type soft plastics if you want to texas rig and fish slow and methodical. I went fishing with a guy who was into the competitive kayak tournament scene. He beat the brakes off of me one morning catching smallmouth on buzzbaits in a creek. Blew my mind that he was catching those fish on "lake sized" lures, let alone a buzzbait. I thought I knew something about catching creek smallies, but I got schooled that morning.

I guess I missed the white bass run in the Mighty Ohio River this year. I caught a few, but not like the previous years. Idk what happened to them. I know the structure changed on the banks, because of the flood that happened back in April.

I think silver creek needs a parking lot or a small section for kayaks or john boats

You never know what you're gonna catch in a river. Sport fish or something that looks like a dinosaur.
