Didn't say it would work well with wash n gos. Creme of Natures know about wash-n-gos already and wouldv'e suggested it for that on their bottle if it was meant for that style.
Sis, yet the back says "create any style you can imagine"...a product does not have to specify that it's for a wash n go to work for a wash n go.

yeah, but there ARE products that work for wash n gos that don't state specifically that that's what they're for. Eco Styler gels, the original containers, come to mind. Keep in mind, the term "wash n go" is fairly new on the hair product scene, so even products that were intended for what we now consider "wash n gos" would not have had that labeled on the product specifically prior to about 2010.
Exactly they have products for wash and go’s who thought about using “snot” for a wash and go it’s common sense not to use it all over your head Only for edges or slick ponytails. I never understand why ppl use like gorilla snot or cream of nature snot as a wash and go like noooo like it’s thick for a reason to hold the pony tail or twists 😂
I used it on just dry hair amd its still was flaky it held all day and then i brushed it and i saw white flakes all in my brush ans hair. I brushed it out
i don't believe it was meant for wash and gos tbh mostly for a real slick ass ponytail

I was going to try this snot as a wash and go , but I asked the creme of nature instagram would they recommend it as a wash and go gel and they said no ... it's really for max hold like your edges
I use it with their curl activator creme and it's amazing... best definition I've ever achieved

So did I! I had been forewarned about the hold so I used a little. I'm definitely trying the activator alone.

Good point - the curl activator creme did help when I used it as a leave in. It was still hard but it definitely flaked.

Her hair was stiff as a board, & it dried on her forehead & looked like snot!!! its gonna take me a loooong time to use. i noticed u only need a dab kinda at ur roots it works down

Great review! I tried this product on a wash and go as well...And yes, my hair was crispy, too. A hot, crispy, build-uppy mess. I would agree that it is NOT good for a wash and go. I would try it for a bun/updo that you needed to last for several days. I was disappointed also because I usually like Crème of Nature products as well :(

Please try it again and use the cream of nature curl activator to break the cast once it's dry. That made a huge difference and the curls were soft. That's the only thing that broke the cast for me.
And I was JUST about to buy this!!!! Lol. Guess I'll use it for buns if I decide to purchase! Thanks for sharing!

This is definitely more for sculpting or scrunching in. I usually emulsify it with a little water to make it easier to spread

Have you tried Aunt Jackie's flaxseed gel?! It does leave your hair crunchy but once you scrunch that out its AMAZINNGGGG. Like, leaves your hair defined, moisturized, and BOMB for a week!

It smooths hair, controls edges and gives fab shine. My daughter uses it for her slick ponytails. Oh and it will flake if you use too much. a little goes a long way.

When your hair was still wet, I just knew it was a yes. Then the face 😂 and when I saw that flaking I was done.....dropped my keys and took of my shoes, I didn't need to leave the house for a minute to run to any store. That is a no for me, can't take flakes. Let us know if it worked to lay edges with no flaking. Oh btw, what is exotic shine? 🤣🤣🤣 I was done when I saw that on the package.

I have the gel, and this is what I've noticed since using it. I used the gel the same way that I used Ecostyler annnddd baby!!!!! It was hard as a brick.Never use too much of it, use a leave in that pairs with the formulation of this product. I used The Main Choice 3 in 1 leave in the second time around. I'll say that my twists weren't as hard, but they were firmer this time around.
I personally don't like it with my wash and gos, but I really enjoy it for my braids, and when I take my braids down on wash day, I have very nice definition, a TINY bit goes a long way!... If I apply too much my hair will be soooo hard and stiff!
I used the snot with the curl activator (same line) came out bombbbbb .
I used with the activator from the same line & it was perfect!!!

Yes Kendallwo, I use a dab of Snot for each section of wet hair and the results are amazing. I have fine hair that frizzes easily as this product provides a great hold but it will flake if using too much!
May I suggest you try the Mielle organics Honey and ginger styling gel. For the texture of it, it surprisingly gave me a good amount of hold. Especially since I have multiple curl patterns. For me it works best with a twist out.

I only use the snot for my edges. Not for a wash and go. I don't think I'd try it all over my head. They way it slicks down my edges I'd to have that all over my hair too

I love the cream of nature snot gel I used it yesterday I was kind of reluctant though you don't need a lot but I absolutely love it are used it on the twist out but I think it will work on a wash and go to
I think since this has such a hard hold, this would be better for ponytails or up-dos. But I saw someone pair this with their new activator and it worked fine. But what works for one person doesn't for another.

Hello, the next time try it with Cream of Nature Moisture & Shine Curl Activator Cream. That will make your hair be softer. Or you can use one of Shea Moisture's detanglers for a softer finish. I mix three oils in my leave-in and detanglers. Argan oil, Jojoba oil, Grapeseed oil.
I only use this product to do puffs and buns. It's perfect for slicking down hair.

If you want a slick pony that looks like a perm without adding heat it is a go to you have to wash it out to get it out

Reminds me of when I tried Dippity Do way back in the day. Couldn't even get a comb through my hair the next day! Had to wash it out immediately. Was furious that it messed up a fresh press too, LOL.
I always thought snot was designed specifically for edges and smoothing down hair. I don't know that I would've ever thought to be brave enough to actually use it all over like this. Great review!

First of all, you are HILARIOUS!!! You definitely have a be subscriber. I have this product myself and I’ve used it for ponytails. You are absolutely right. My hair is 90s black gel hard!! And I thought the flakes were from me having another gel over top but nope!!! It does define your curls but that next morning!! Crunch city!!
I wish I saw this video before I purchased it. Yes the same thing happened to me, my hair was crispy and it was flaking. I wore my hair in a puff and when it dried persons were telling me that I had stuff in my hair. It's not only you sis. My edges are hard to tame and it did tame it until it dried. But yeah... never will make the mistake again. It doesn't work on dry or wet hair for me.

I wouldn't think that would be something to do a wash and go with anyway. It's for a firm hold. Doing a ponytail it works very very well.

They say a little goes a long way. When applying it to your hair don't apply as much gel as you normally do. This will reduce the amount of crunch. Like gels you sometimes get a little crunch which you eliminate with an oil. Yeah but try putting less in your hair and you should be good. How do I know because myself as well as a friend have used this product.

I have type 4 hair and it also flaked on me. I think it works better for coarser hair. I don't like the name either but it definitely has hold - great for those who like heavy products.

I don't think that product is meant to be used alone, because of the type of hold it give. That type of product is to be used with a leave in or moisturizer.

Try using the the Creme of Natural Curl Activator Creme. Then use the snot but put the snot on the ur hand then put water on ur hand n rub ur hands together then put on ur hair
I used this gel for a twist out and it made my hair so hard too!!
This is a hit or miss product I love my snot from them !!! You definitely have to use this with something not by itself , it's bomb for twist outs for kinky hair like 4b/4c wouldn't recommend for wash and Gos but perfect for twistouts the definition is amazing ! And you can use a lot at one time for example I'd use this to finish of my loc method for a twisout and my hair doesnt become hard
