The black castor eco styler gives me horrible flakes and build up by day 2😥😫 but ......... I love it!! It makes my curls pop like no other and they last. So it's a love/hate relationship.
nia Wow! Just shows how different everyone's hair is. I haven't used olive oil in a long time. My go to is the curl and wave eco it just doesn't give my curls the hold and definition the castor oil does.
The eco activator in the green jar works amazing for me. It doesn’t leave my curls crunchy like the regular eco gel, it’s soft to the touch when it dries and the curls are amazing
Eco is acting like SM, coming out with new gels every time we turn around. How about trying it again with a leave-in? It may reduce/elimate flaking. I hate the Eco Flaxseed b/c it flake like crazy; so I used it to lay my edges, but after a week or so, it broke me out (never had that to happen with any hair product). Thanks for sharing.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this gel!!! I found that it works best when you wet your hair and use this LOC method. This will help eliminate the buildup and flakes. I hope this helps😊
Cute...my experience with activator gels is it makes your hair look moisturized but is dry underneath. I think a leave in with a little oil underneath may have helped. Thanks for the vid

You always crack me up! And those clips 😩😂😂 but on another note I need to find this because I normally use another curl activator before I use the gel and my last wash and go was a mess idk if it's because my hair is longer than when I last did them, but idk I need a new wash and go regimen!

Truth and in fact l was very much rooting for this Eco Styler Gel because it says natural conditioning but when you said that you had a lot of flakes l knew immediately that this would not work for my hair any at all because l do have a dandruff problem! If this product is mixed with other products can you imagine the amount of build up? It's a good thing you never used it with a leave in conditioner and just used it by itself! The only thing l liked about this product is that your curls was popping and your hair does look soft and movable to me! Thanks for sharing. I definitely won't be buying this!
I went online and found designer touch activator. It makes my hair really grow. Love it. And i use the shea miracle leave in conditioner too. Wonderful combo

I stopped using Eco Styler (they changed the name for some odd reason) in 2012. Tried the coconut at the beginning of this year and nah, I'm straight. Not trying another nothing from them.

Marleen G. Yep could be. But, at the same time I JUST clarified the wash before. Which means I shouldn't have as much build up as I did. A couple others told me they tried on freshly washed hair and still got flakes. Nonetheless, I'm not giving up lol.

Your curls came out great but I recommend the one in the green jar because I don’t get the white residue.
