All inhabitants now go to the religiously appropriate half." But they didn't do that. They instead carved off Jordan and prematurely gave it to outsiders..Hashemites..who should not have even been in the running..thereby turning what SHOULD have been the remaining Jewish half ..Into an eternal battleground for Arab claims that Jordan land should have satisfied... So when the Arab Muslim half had already been created in Jordan, which SHOULD have been the new home for ALL Arab Muslims in the area, plus any Muslim newcomers ...Just as LIKEWISE, the Jewish half (all but Jordan) SHOULD have been designated for Jews in the area, plus any desireous jewish newcomers. Simply put, the British victors F'd up. At great cost in blood and treasure, they won ww1, and then pissed away the authority over the area they so dearly earned thereby.
