Nuclear Instrumentation tech here... Swagelok compression fittings are rated for up to 11,000 psi. We use them all over the nuke plants. One caveat, there's a procedure for ensuring the ferrule is properly compressed and it's possible to over tighten them. We use a go no-go guage and we have to match mark them when we disassemble unions to make sure we don't over tighten them.
Limos with extra doors and front facing center rows are Funeral Cars (to carry larger numbers of people between funeral related locations). (vs Prom/wedding/party limos)

My mom got a horse for $500. Perfect health, young, pure white, playful. His name was Woody, and he was the largest puppy I've ever seen. He'd bounce up and down if he saw you coming, he'd race you around his pen, but he was also super gentle. Mom saved him from the glue factory because the previous owner just couldn't afford to keep him. We really couldn't afford him either so after having him for like 4 years we sold him to someone who could actually afford him.

I had the sedan version of this and daily drove it for about a year, that was about 17 years ago now, so this brought back some good memories. I enjoyed it at the time, it was a pretty nice driving car, although mine was even more beat up than yours.

The sealant the sticker was referring to came in a tablet form (from the GM dealer). It was required because of the way the cylinder sleeves sealed to the block and heads. If I remember correctly, the tablets contained ginger root extract.
Here is another fun fact: All Caddy aluminum blocked engines required them. From the HT4100, all the way to the final iteration of the Northstar V8 in 2010

It didn't do any of the overheating, coolant in crankcase, blown bags, broken air pump, and 1,000 other crappy Cadillac things. And yes, GM used to sell stop leak tablets for these pieces of crap to be put into the cooling system regularly. Cars like that are why I bought a Barn find Bonneville shirt lol.

Not surprised it has an engine knock. The HT 4100 was known for a very weak lower end. When new that engine produced a whole 125 hp's. I had a 1982 Eldorado with the 4100. It is the only car I've owned that you could put the pedal the floorboard, and it would make good V-8 sounds, but hardly any acceleration happened. 🤣

When i saw you put up that brake flaring tool, i thought dang, looks just like the one i used to make brake lines for my m38a1 jeep willys. When you said Capri, you confirmed it's the one i just bought, and it work's really good for making double flares that do not leak like all those cheap kits that have been around forever that you just can't make a good double flare brake line with. I don't know why they don't just use copper or stainless steel lines from the factory, especially in the rust belt state's. That limo with those doors, looks like the funeral limos i have seen when i ran a large cemetery for ten year's. Probably the reason it's not all rusted out underneath, they keep those car's inside, and maintain them really well. G-d bless.
I have been an auto technician for 25 years and seen some hack brake lines, and by no means promoting compression fittings but I've never seen one fail. It's always the rusted brake line it's attached to.

The paint job is a throwback to the Goat Patrol golf cart you and Dalton ressurrected at the Desperado Resort. I think the cart still runs better than the limo. LOL
Only good thing about that 4100 is it's so shitty that it caused GM Seal Tabs to be a thing. And they're AWESOME!. Every water cooled anything I own has one floating in them.
Fun fact, they will seal water pump shaft leaks and allow you to keep driving with one indefinitely as long as you add more tabs and coolant every so often.
My first car was a used, white '67 VW Beetle. I put a header exhaust on it and painted stars and stripes all over it (with a gold eagle on the roof). This was 1971, and needless to say I got stopped by the cops - A LOT. Times have certainly changed.

I would investigate on that limo as much as you can. Because there was 9 of them made after hours. I don't remember which plant. They were facing shutdowns so a lot of the workers after hours got together and built 9 Cadillac limousines. The only true Cadillac limousines from the manufacturer. All others were made outside of the plant. By private businesses. So always keep an eye out for one of those be worth a lot of money.
The 9 that they did make, I know it's worth a lot of money. Cos 1 of them is in a museum in Detroit, It's a private museum. You have to be part of a very special club to get in once a year by invitation.

I've done the course and the gauge is only used the first time you tighten them , after that you nip them up according to the size of tube

Front wheel drive v8s are strange but their not super uncommon the “high performance” version of the early 2000s impalas and grand prix came with a v8
GM had some front wheel drive models with big longitudinally mounted V8s in the 1960s.

my mom had an 87 Cadillac coupe Deville with the HT4100 V8 and my god that engine was horrific. I still have PTSD from it always breaking down

In the nineties GM did use SS for brake/fuel lines, and exhaust. My '96 Cutlass Supreme still has original exhaust, and lines, no rust to speak of.

I would investigate on that limo as much as you can. Because there was 9 of them made after hours. I don't remember which plant.
They were facing shutdowns so a lot of the workers after hours got together and built 9 Cadillac limousines. The only true Cadillac limousines from the manufacturer. All others were made outside of the plant.
By private businesses.
So always keep an eye out for one of those be worth a lot of money.

The 9 that they did make, I know it's worth a lot of money. Cos 1 of them is in a museum in Detroit, It's a private museum. You have to be part of a very special club to get in once a year by invitation.

This started out as 'why do they want that kind of headache with those 4100-caddy s?"" I have had a few of them and they are great cars as in comfort and driving but a total nightmare under the hood! I will admit by the end of the video I envied the fun you all were having and full of ideas! The whole project just turned fun and I can see someone turning this into a small town campaign car! Hey Kevin. I have an idea. Since it’s been 3 years and 140 episodes since you last montage of you’re favorite clips and bloopers. You should do another! I think that would be amazing. All the funny moments and just straight up crazy moments. Like when you crashed a three wheeler out north. Also you should make a second channel that only posts bloopers
Great timing on the brakeline/tool links. The front to rear line blew on my xj and I noticed someone else's "repairs". Just going to replace the whole thing and call it a day. (And wait for the next line to go. lol)
