Hi friends! I know this is an old video but I just wanted to say THANK YOU for the all the love and support that this video is getting. 🤗 I’ve been getting a lot of corrections on this video including the “こんにちわ” and my pronunciation and I appreciate all of it. I’d like to think I’ve gotten a little better now as I’m doing my best to constantly improve. ☺️

Again, thank you and stay safe always my dear friends! ❤️
Thank you so much! I started teaching myself hiragana/Katakana while in quarantine and I would really love to be able to speak Japanese one day because, to visit Japan has always been one of my Life's dream. Hope it sismt too late.
This video is so aesthetically eye pleasing haha
Thank you for this video! I've been teaching myself for 2 years now, but I gave up almost 6 months ago just because I got busy and burned out. This is the motivation I needed! どもありがとうございます!
I really want to thank you for this video, I had lost my motivation to learn this language this past weeks but now I feel like I can do it 😭😭❤️

The urge to study Japanese:
The fact I’m already studying Mandarin Chinese: *are you sure you want to confuse yourself*
Opposite for me, I’m learning Japanese but I’ve started to want to learn Mandarin Chinese 🥲...
I’m learning Korean but I wanna learn Japanese but I do not wanna cram both languages in my head
Actually, going from Chinese to Japanese might be good! You know the characters in Chinese right? Kanji is like Hiragana and Katakana with Chinese characters! Like you do know “yi” right? (One in Chinese) So in Japanese one is “ichi”. Then in kanji, you can use the same character of yi, for ichi!
learning japanese as a chinese is a sort of upperhand, you can make good use of it (especially if you have the drive to learn japanese), even if you are uninterested its fine, just learn whatever piques your interest i guess
also, im a chinese as well haha
I'm Chinese and my parents don't want me to study Japanese bcoz of this :")
My three reasons for learning Japanese:
- Anime without subtitles
- Learn a new language and acquire knowledge (which is always good 😉)

Yes! But it's actually hard because of this pandemic, full of activities in school, covid is such a bullshit lol
My reason for learning Japanese is because 10 years ago, I had a childhood friend who was a Japanese. We used to hangout a lot, until she returned back to Japan. Though she spoke perfect english, I still wish to communicate with her in Japanese. It's been 2 years since I've started learning, and I still haven't told her yet. We've kept in touch through out the years, and I'm travelling to Japan hopefully next year to meet her. I'm still at N2 level, but I hope to reach N1 before this year ends
Update: My flight is on June, quite nervous now 😐
That’s an amazing reason. Honestly just reading this made my day, I wish you the best!

Her: Has beautiful reasons for studying Japanese.
Me: I just want to annoy my family and friends. By remarking their cringey jokes! XD
Step 1 for every video ive ever seen when someone is learning Japanese: Go to Japan, or live in Japan. Ah yes. Money I never possess
I think it's because these people are more confident in their learning of japanese than your regular person that only uses duolingo or only has JPLT N5. Learning the characters is already halfway through learning the language when it comes to those that don't use italic letters.
It's brought up so often because, most of the time, it's the absolute best option. Being around the language that you're trying to learn helps you make more connections to how tone changes the meanings of the words. It forces you to pay attention and familiarize yourself more
Yeahhh practice writing a page of Japanese a day and watch Japanese childrens learning shows on UA-cam helps me a lot
Those reiterating that it’s the best option from an educational standpoint, looking at it in a vacuum, and mischaracterizing her actual comment, you’re avoiding her whole point.
Most Japanese citizens are rascist so I don't think I can go there sadly
I'm Chinese, I've been studying Chinese for about 11 years now (I'm 16).
One trick I learned to practice Chinese or Kanji is to just write them as small as possible. You're so focused on trying to write them that you end up focusing on each and every stroke. Use this trick if you want to practice or when you want to improve your handwriting. :)
I like your last name!! Also, I write pretty small already and look forward to learning Kanji later on after I master Hirigana and Katakana >,< I just got to stay committed to do so.
@@soyal__exome4157 Good luck! Also, people sometimes confuse my last name sometimes lol. One time a Japanese person told me that my name meant "lotus(?)" and it took me a while to know they were talking about.
你好呀,我也是中國人 :)
Benny Ren oooo. What do you recommend to learn the language?
@@soyal__exome4157 I've only really attended weekly Chinese classes so I'm too familiar with other programs. I guess you could try things like Duolingo or watch UA-cam videos. For beginners, the hardest thing to learn I think is the basic characters and radicals. They're some of the most important things to focus on first, even knowing a few can help you learn a lot faster. As for grammar and pronunciation, read some books or essays written by Chinese students. Listen to music, watch TV shows and films (I tell myself to do this more but I keep getting distracted by anime lol).
This probably doesn't exactly answer your question but it's more about how you're learning rather than where you're learning.
I really want to learn Japanese to just grow my knowledge and make me feel like I'm accomplishing something as well as indulging my interest in another culture and a new world. I know Arabic since I'm born in the middle east. So I thought that going on a journey to be multilingual might be nice as well. I'm just 14 but I do want to learn a lot and I'm interested in languages.

Never lose that hunger to learn Japanese. Those are great/valid reasons, if I do say so myself... and I do. Hehehe! Good luck in your language journey!
@@michaelreyes2287 thank you so much! ^^
There's this one Japanese artist that I really like and she's currently making a manga. There were no Eng translation for it. When I told her I hoped there's going to be English translation for it, she responded she couldn't afford to get an accurate one. I was saddened by it so now I'm trying my best to learn it.
@@cherry414 awww, good luck with learning!! lets do our best together! i hope you'll be able to read it soon ^^
@@sakura_socks Yeah hopefully! I would love to give her free translation. I'm also thinking of working in Japan too so let's do our best!! :D
I started learning japanese about a week and a 1/2 ago, and i’ve been currently losing motivation for it, but this just reminded and encouraged me to continue!
