Just FYI, that personal trainer was totally out of line. Before anyone begins a new fitness regime they should have a health check and an idea of their baseline physical fitness. What if Phil had a restrictive medical condition? It's really dangerous to set someone strenuous workouts without prior knowledge.
Was thinking exactly the same, my mom's a PT and she'd never start off like that
I think an important thing for everyone to remember when exercising is, if you're not comfortable, or you feel pain, stop right away and asses the situation. Make sure you can handle the situation. If you continue when you are not ready, you may end up hearting your body more than helping it.

Sounds like a crappy trainer tbh, he went to hardcore crossfit related workouts without even asking you what you were looking for. He pushed you way too hard and didn't ease you into it. I'd file a complaint to the gym if I were you, you could've gotten seriously hurt from being inexperience. All those workouts are ones people do who have worked out for months.
My thoughts too... I have had bad experiences with trainers who all want to be showing off what they can do instead of actually tailoring exercises for their clients. I had one make me cry and then I couldn't go back to that gym for two years. So stupid.

I just want to train my legs, stomach and behind, but I had this one trainer who I told this and 90% of the training were for the arms and neck, for a womans group. Makes no sense. But he just kept saying, the other parts will get their workout, guess what, they didn't. And he kept pushing us like an idiot. I was so upset by the end of the training, that I didn't even told him goodbye.
Not to mention you really need a warmup before flipping a tractor tire. Starting with that is just asking to pull some muscles (or tear something..)

Advice: Totally unrelated, but when you said nauseous, it reminded me of this: if you're ever feeling ill and like you might throw up, then just hum. It's impossible to be sick while humming. Just keep humming, and you'll be fine. ((Don't do it too much, because your body still needs to get rid of what it needs to get rid of, but just do it until you can get to a trash can or a toilet,))

LoonyRadish, he could have just said he was humming a tune to jog to. ((After he went to the bathroom, of course,)) and that would have been a lot less weird.
Also, holding your thumb into your fist will make your gag reflex less violent/non-existent depending on the person. It really helps me when I'm nauseous, because I'll start gagging alot so... yeah... more friendly advice I guess?

Once I went to the gym and accidentally pulled the panic alarm in the toilet because for some reason my brain thought this red cord was the flush and it played an announcement like 'all available staff members to the female toilet'. So naturally I panicked and ran out of the toilet past a half naked woman who had stuck her head out of the shower and I dived into the nearest disabled toilet and waited there for 20 minutes before going home. I didn't go back to the gym for 4 months and I made sure to never wear the same outfit in case somebody recognised me. I'm still traumatised.

If you mean burpees, you basically have to do a push up, jump us, do a weird half jumping jack thing, go back down into a plank/push up, and keep repeating

Hey Phil, I think you could have reactive hypoglycemia (your blood sugar can get low). I have it, and I get dizzy, pale, and lightheaded while exercising, too. It could also be why you have such a craving for sugary foods to bring your energy back up. It wouldn't hurt to get a glucose tolerance test.

One time during PE in middle school, we were doing this thing where you do jumping jacks for like ten minutes straight, but i had to pee really badly.
My PE teacher was really strict and if i stopped doing jumping jacks she'd yell at me and if I left to use the bathroom she'd yell at me too.
So every time i did a jumping jack (this is so embarrassing) I peed my pants a little bit, and by the end of the ten minutes, I didn't have to pee anymore.
luckily I had an extra pair of shorts in my gym locker.

I eat like an apple and carrots it's gross but makes me feel okay but I once had some Indian food on the treadmill I had a trash bag because I was going to take trash out little did I know that the trash bag would save my life I threw up in it because I'm normal it was really disgusting just my throw up swashing around in the bag I threw in away had some water and watched Dan and Phil for the rest of the day luckily the treadmill was in my house

I have severe emetophobia and have always avoided this video (along with Dan's video about sunstroke) but today I forced myself to watch this and I was surprised at how well I handled it. I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for Phil so I'm very thankful.

My mom asked me what was wrong while I was watching this because I "looked too sorry for someone to be watching a UA-cam video".
When Phil said burpees my stomach churned. My volleyball horror story: My coach in my freshman year of high school was high key insane. Whenever someone was absent, even if they had a legitimate excuse like a doctors appointment, a job interview, or a sick family member, she would still feel it was necessary to punish the team for the persons absence, who, mind you, was absent and not there for practice. She would also punish us if we didn't wear the same color shirt. That day she made us do 20 burpees, but if one person messed up, which was usually the girl who was a bit heavier, we had to start from the beginning. We ended up doing about 160 burpees. Another note was we weren't allowed water.
You weren't allowed water??? You guys all could of ended up in the hospital omlll that makes me so mad.
Sad but true. Lots of girls got dehydrated or threw up. Especially since our school was not well funded and crowded, we had small portions at lunch, so that didn't help.
