If i wanted to set up ssh access to the switch do i have to network it with a router/firewall as a trunk link first? Right now i have my IP address set on my vlan but it is showing up/down on the status. I also cant ssh to the switch locally even though i have the username and password set. (this is a lab environment).
How do I assign an ip address to the FastEthernet interfaces on a switch only??? I always get an error even though I input the correct commands. Is there any video covering such a topic???
Awesome video. When I try to ping the gateway, I get this error Success rate is 0 percent (0/5). Please let me know what would be the fix or causing the issue?
Hi.. My switch all the port are configured in vlan 4... I have configured ip mask for vlan 1. But after connecting the PC to switch port with a same same range of IP.... it's not working.. Status is up, protocol down..
Hello sir i just want to know how can i configure 2 isp connection in single managed switch? Means i m a cable operator and i have 2 isp line and i want to setup both line in same switch and want to mix both line in all ports so i can provide internet connection using router in customer home using any port from my switch.. 1 isp is using static ip and other is pppoe so i want to setup my singe switch with 2 isp so i can provide Internet connection using unmanaged switches connected to my managed switch in office.. At end point of customer i will use router and will set pppoe or static ip connection so customers can use Internet.. Sir help me in it with command so i can understand how to configure
Thank you for the video, i dont understand how you were able to ping another host when none of the physical lan ports are running - i get you assigned an ip address the the vlan1 - but there are no cables going to any hosts other than the console cable
