I like slightly understable discs since there's mostly wooded courses around here. My Lucid Vandal is still my fave to throw. It's got the magic numbers for a 9-speed that make it fly forever and it's never gotten too flippy for me.
I will probably use the River for my turnovers in the future but I just don't trust it to flip at the moment, so until I've expended my Viking Discs Cosmos in Armor and Storm (super dome) I will keep them for that slot. Do mention the diameter on the River! It's larger than most drivers! Looking forward to test the green C-Line FD coming this week! Missing the stable flat shot in 7-9 speeds for the moment. ^_^
that glidey fairway flick shot has been a new things I added this year, lean out and get around some big corners turning left with that understability, then flattens at the end, super helpful to get that shot in your arsenal
Leopard3 has become my flippy Fairway driver. Recently tried the FD and it is a great consistent OS disc. Also trying out a Prodigy F3 and it feels like it falls right between the FD and F3.
@@ivax7636 I think mine is max weight (175ish). With the river I think it’s more important which plastic, just go with the opto. It’s tempting to get the lucid orbit but they are more over stable!
I had a Tee ird till I lost it on a thick brush of a course, and just played Northwood Black yesterday and slipped my mind to throw it. Maybe just needed a very straight driver instead of my Explorer
No Diamond/Witness or Underworld - What's up? Also - the Genius. I have a feeling this was the more stable fairway driver video. Of course you did say Amateurs, which I guess is a step or two above beginner/novice.
Loved seeing Bodanza Disc Golf on your channel. If it wasnt for the viewer input on the discs I would have a hard time watching this after all the Berg hate lol
The only fairways on this list I don't bag are the Innova molds and I know they are great but I just don't like them, for the teebird I bag a Sidewinder in Champion which is a strange combo but it has insane stability but it still has that slight turn to it when thrown flat
@@drewg3087 every body thinks they are too understable bc of the PDGA turtle ones. But my neutron one gets to flat drifts a little with soft finish 325ft. 4hand it turns alot. 60%power is perfect or standstill
Haven't tried the essence but I'ma big hyzer flip guy. I like the champion mamba, hades, DX thunderbird, neutron relay, esp meteor. I bag all of these and release all on same power hyzer for different distances.
My list goes.... 1. Heat 2. River 3. Maverick 4. FD 5. Sting Also, I'm glad the Firebird wasn't on here. That disc for amateur players can start bad habits.
Those are FD3s more meant to be like a firebird. There was a small fundraiser run of pink metal flake FDs though and they are very similar to the normal FD in my experience
My buddy was going to unbag a ESCAPE so i asked if i could throw it and when i did i had the best throw of my life and i pushed it so far it got lost in bushes threw my first 300+ foot shot with it
Such a blast filming and playing with you!!! ABSOLUTE SNUB though for the number 1 spot!
I’d love to see more collabs as you travel the country. I’d love to see Robbie C, Foundation, Apollo, and more
@@calebdyer6332 Trying to do as many as I possibly can as I'm close to other creators!
100% agree everyone should bag a river
super happy to see you in this video your a super awesome person
Agreed! I may replace mine with a Lariat, but I’m a LSD fanboy.

Kastaplast K1 soft falk. Awesome plastic, super consistency flight. Great for hyzer flips once it breaks in. Highly recommend
I like MVP Insanity. Really straight to me, but as always it depends on what suits to you!
recent sub but i cant wait to see you look at the other disc types and pick some jawns. maybe even with other guests. cant wait to see mids and putts

i absolutely love my champ dark rebel (the original FD mold) it's the most versatile disc in my bag
I've been subscribed to both channels for a while, so these videos were fun to see.
the Falk and the first run plasma insanitys are money . Love the river as well
Great video, loved the guest appearance by Bodanza 💪
the prodigy F3 is a great beginner fairway, flippy enough for intermediate players to get good hyzer flip to turnovers
my leopard3 was a hand me down, been throwing it a lot! green is not my favourite disc color though
that glidey fairway flick shot has been a new things I added this year, lean out and get around some big corners turning left with that understability, then flattens at the end, super helpful to get that shot in your arsenal
For sure! Be sure to check out the video on the Bodanza Disc Golf channel. The shot really comes into play lol 🤫
Great show guys👍👌

I would sub the saint for the teebird. I would go river, saint, fd as top 3
So many good choices from all the brands tbh
I'd add:
Westside Stag
Latitude 64 Maul
Agreed on the River, great disc.
Do you know the correct gram to buy?
@@ivax7636 I think mine is max weight (175ish). With the river I think it’s more important which plastic, just go with the opto. It’s tempting to get the lucid orbit but they are more over stable!
Wow in the clip of his youtube i saw him playing portage lakes disc golf course on of the best courses in the area!
Love seeing Anthony do a cross over with Swanky! Was this planned or happened randomly?
haha it was planned!
Finally threw a teebird this morning. Did not disappoint. In the bag immediately
I had a Tee ird till I lost it on a thick brush of a course, and just played Northwood Black yesterday and slipped my mind to throw it. Maybe just needed a very straight driver instead of my Explorer
My mate likes his River And Maul. I love the Essence. Damn it flies!
I see we also play at Little Mulberry. I know that long hole 10 anywhere.

I’m an absolute 58 year old beginner, my star leopard is awesome 👍
How far can you throw it? I’m doing better with my Mako3 but still only getting about 230 ft. I’m 51 and have played for a year.
Get you a River, homes. You'll be glad you did.

I love the relay. It's pretty much a beat in flatter crave
Pretty much a stable leopard.

I love my Gold-Ice River. Feels like it stays in the air forever.
Tbh I really like the discmania essence, it absolutely bombs on hyzer flips. It’s definitely a disc that will help you learn good form
my all time fave
Haven't tried the essence but I'ma big hyzer flip guy. I like the champion mamba, hades, DX thunderbird, neutron relay, esp meteor. I bag all of these and release all on same power hyzer for different distances.
Hate to say it but the hades goes the furthest but finishes turned over 400ft. It's also brand new
@@JoshJackson13 I think you'll love the Essence, really workable, ridiculous glide
Essence should have won. Also the Roadrunner is money too!
I recommend a dx beast or dx thunderbird to New players or dynamic discs starter pack
My list goes....
1. Heat
2. River
3. Maverick
4. FD
5. Sting
Also, I'm glad the Firebird wasn't on here. That disc for amateur players can start bad habits.
all solid choices, but plenty of good alternatives out there too
Man I bought a crave in plasma plastic and was surprised how os the one I bought was. I replaced it with the fd
Really need an Essence on this list!
Lol awesome Bodanza cameo
We love seeing a clip of portage lakes in Ohio. NEODGA Rules
I prefer the Discmania Essence over the FD. The new Metal Flake FDs are straight beef cakes.
Those are FD3s more meant to be like a firebird. There was a small fundraiser run of pink metal flake FDs though and they are very similar to the normal FD in my experience
@@frankromano4377 I'm talking about the Pink Metal Flake and they are beefy compared to normal FDs.
@@Jarvis_Moonbeam gotcha I have 2 of those pink ones both mine are very flat and straight. I would actually say less beefy than my domey c-line FDs
What’s up Anthony? Lol, wasn’t expecting that!!✌🏻😂🥏
Thought Space Votum is a great fairway!
I love my river
FDs are great, but they are too stable for a true beginner... Beginners should be leaning towards the River by Lat64 or Essence by Discmania
How did the Relay get passed up in this list???
Noteworthy is that since Discmania is produced in Sweden you can't throw feet with it, you have to throw meters.
I love my MVP servo u believe the numbers are 7 5 -1 2...it's a great disc
I just picked that one up recently and almost lost it second time out. I'm digging MVP/Axiom.
How many grams is the river??
Buy Innova the plastic lasts a lot longer. You can get F2 Innova’s for $6-8 bucks. Can’t beat it
Lat64 Maul doesn’t get enough love. Better than the river imo.
The Instinct is actually sneaky good.
Yasssss
OG FDs❤❤
I would not let that dude play through ; )
Crave all the way!
My buddy was going to unbag a ESCAPE so i asked if i could throw it and when i did i had the best throw of my life and i pushed it so far it got lost in bushes threw my first 300+ foot shot with it
River......all the way......
Hatchet from Westside
the lack of volt is quite a shame
If you haven’t thrown the Discraft passion, if you’re reading this go throw this disc and tell me it’s not the greatest disc ever
ESSENCE you forgot that one.
Leo3 and FD are the best. River is overrated!
I'm getting tired of you amateurs.
Get out there and practice, get a better player to help you.
Quit be am.
