For me, call of duty 1 is the best at handling weapon details in that era of gaming. I don't see any other game at that time that has full and half reload animation and yet, call of duty has them. Probably even the first game to have it, or at least it popularize the mechanic. Not to mention it also has a surprisingly smooth animation that i think still holds up to this day
It got better gun sounds than CoD 2. What's cool about CoD 1 was that the game got firing modes for some guns! And I gotta love it when they made the scoped version of bolt-action rifles sounded more powerful.
I like it the same, however Thompson and PPSH-41 in COD 2 has by far the most recognisable gun sound I could ever remember and it's much better than cod 1 imo
I just wish it had a non-scoped version since the full auto with the scope if pretty crap, in semi-auto well... it was like a semi auto sniper, even tho the FG42 is a battle rifle

They did. That's one thing I noticed when I booted the game up back in 2006. Yet somehow, they looked more natural on the new hand models. Perhaps a little tweaking here and there.

As far as i can find there’re 2 guns missing in the video, one is .30 cal mounted unlimit ammo version (only spawned at first mission of uo, right outside the bunker), another is sg43 machine gun mounted (only spawned at first mission for soviet in uo, needs cheat code to ignore wall & push npc) which is the same as 2nd weapon on t43 in mp.

frustrating how there were so many of interesting features which will not going to be retaken in other COD games, like the machineguns we can use when crouched so they become steady and accurate, the satchels , the smokes (for the firemodes it was really time they retook them in MW2019) the heavy cannons, ... even the WW2 guns models seen in COD1 were interesting. like the scope on the Kar98 sniper variant , it looked unique, now they retake the same classically bland scope over and over on the Karabiner in the other COD games about WW2. why they didn't retake the Panzerfausts too? crazy how COD1 looked way different than the other sequels of the saga
how did you manage to get the proper full res textures for united offensive. Many textures in UO are set to very low. Also, how did you fix the resolution and brightness bug?
It's a shame that most call of duty players don't appreciate or didn't even know about this master precise. It deserves a well remaster, but not a remake.

this isnt vanilla COD1 is it? the graphics werent this good and most weapons (especially mp40) had a simple 2D sprite as the muzzle flash and it was so large that you couldnt see anything when firing.
They use the same C*** on close animation for all Bolt action rifle to safe budget fee! Smart actually. This game price had not been reduce, on the other hand is not cool.

Medal of honor allied assult, battlefield 1942 was great too, but cod1 reload animation was on a another level
Weapon modelling too. Mohaa and bf1942 had okay weapon models but they looked like something you'd see from a mod. rtcw on the other hand... yikes

These are the normal textures in UO. Make sure t update the game. What resolution bug? brightenss bug can be fixed using r_ignorehwgamma 1
