The original re-issue was launched at Baselworld 2009, not 2007. And that one time when the clasp didn't close it was because you had the diver's extension incorrectly folded in.
Thanks for the review. Any news when it will hit the stores?
That is just a beautiful watch love the mesh bracelet.
Yes, but steel > titanium, any day. Try them both side by side, you'll understand!
Then how do you operate the bezel single-handedly.
I love the nick name you gave it..."a nerds dive watch."
Crazy watch with nice blue:)
Nice watch
I'm sorry...I LOVE this watch!
Some people have commented it doesn’t pop lol.... It’s a tool watch not just a desk diver
I guess the crystal case back is nice..... but to be honest the original one-piece case design I consider a greater horological and engineering feat.
I would like to own the Titanium black dial, but the price point is high.
I’m picturing a planet ocean in that white and blue
Yes !!! No date !!!
It's beautifully ugly. Have always loved the Proplof, not quite sure why(maybe my appreciation for quirky) but think I always will. Very much prefer this to the 2007 re-release, actually like the white dial/blue bezel in this review.
Will probably never own one, but I will always look on in admiration whenever I see one in the wild.
I dont know why but I think it is beautiful
It is a beautiful watch, I own the steel version, and would never trade it for a Titanium one. Steel looks WAY better in my humble opinion.
@@AlTheEngineer is the steel version comfortable as a daily wearer? I tried the titanium version in store and it wears very comfortable.
@@hongzhang2819 I find it very comfortable, I wear it every day, I have more exotic pieces and I end up coming back to it all the time! It's awesome!
finally.
would be great to see that in a steel version, I love the mass!
Ya, steel version is superior in every way in my humble opinion.
as much as it is an iconic omega watch..I think the guys at omega must be drunk or nuts to price it over 12k. I would rather get the white or dark side of the moon and still keep some change in the pocket. Personally I think all these top tier brands are nuts..they are just racing with one another to put a sky rocket pricing just to be premium without considering the value.
Any entry level Rolex diver is just about the same price. It gets crazy when you add precious metals to the mix!
Why?
NOOOOOOOOOO, not cheap, I keep my Schaumburg Aqua titans 2000 titanium
I love this ugly beast of a watch.
Shut up and take my money
Ouch, rotten Tomatoes contest contender ? Did Omega sell one ?
Yes, at least 1 about 4 years ago. :-)
$12k??????????? No thanks, and I really like Omega.
Get the steel version. $7K to $8K!
meh....
Atrocious
OMEGA watch makers tend to be greedy by selling a more expensive watch made of ugly titanium. This metal has no luster, neither can attract an enthusiasts, because of its light weight and gray color. You are like wearing a worthless watch made of plastic case and yet it costs way above the stainless steel ploprof. Omega watch makers are deceiving the consumers with this market gimmick. What an irony!
I can tell you had never handled this watch. Perhaps in the 5 years since you have and have reconsidered your position.

Donkey! Since 1970’. It’s an icon.
