    It's impossible to describe the amazing feeling I have every time I listen to Rinpoche. All politicians, leaders, etc should be like him. Programs like this should be on TV, every day, instead brainwashing ads, violence and other nonsense. The kids should be taught by people like Rinpoche...that would be nice.

    It is very difficult to be at joy in bitterness and selfishness. It is also very difficult to be at joy in pain and suffering. It is also very difficult to be at joy when we are not living or feeling alive. It is also very difficult when in troubles. It is also difficult when away from Love and Joy.

    “Life is a journey of tenacity. Only the tough gets to the top through the storm. Take the steps one by one though the errand may be arduous. Never give up though you may grow weary. Think of the purpose though its attainment may be tough. Dare to get to the crown though you may meet the obstacles. You are never born to relax all day but to dare to do the undone. If only it is reasonable enough within the real reasons of your life, and if your soul and spirit convince you of getting it done, then, you have the real reasons to dare for the crown.”

    Does anyone know what Mingyur Rinpoche would say about resolving bruxism? (night time jaw clenching)

    • @wellwisher9817
      @wellwisher9817 2 роки тому +1

      I resolved this issue by putting my tongue in between my teeth whenever my jaw clenching woke me up. It made me conscious whenever I was gritting my teeth, since the pressure of my teeth on my tongue woke me up. So may be subconsciously my brain helped me stop the gritting because of the pain on my tongue. The pain wasn't too much but just enough to make me conscious of it whenever I did it thus it helped me program myself subconsciously to stop doing it.
      But then it is just my experience and it might not work for everyone and may not be even medically advisable. Since I saw your question I just wanted to share it with you. 😊

    37:07 I strongly dissagree, the teacher Rinpoche says "each movement is looking for happyness, to avoid from suffering, to free from problem"
    From my personal experience, i felt happy for a few days, not only that but i kept saying i feel so happy and breath deeply as i look at the beautyfull nature i was in. In a few days of doing this, i had heart pain. Then i stopped. What i want to say is that happyness is an emotion, which means hormones. Having an excessive ammount of happy hormones in your brain&blood for a long period, is just as bad as being sad for a long period. It can be good to feel very happy moments, but dont sit in a very happy state for prolonged time. Life is not just an emotion! This is another reason why people should not chase for states such as nirvana.
    To complete my point of view, i think there are 6human needs that govern each movement. (certainty, uncertainty, significance, conection, growth, contribution)
    Another emotion that is superior to being happy, it is peace.
    -A key point to be at peace is to finish what you start ,do a good job and then do something extra to finish it well beyond expectations.
    -Another key point is to do things right on schedule, right on time, this creates a feeling of peace. So that i am even ahead of shedule. Compare this to being always late or barely making it on time.
    So a secret for me to be in a peacefull state is to do everything before 9am, then begin work from 9am. This allows me so that EVERY DAY i put energy early in the morning into my 1. peace or mind, 2.health&energy, 3.love&relationship, and there is not a day where i neglect those areas of life. Because work is the 4th on my priority for the day.

      You are a statue then. When one is thirsty, they go to the water. When you are thirsty you do only think of water. Imagine you are lost in desert and ran out of water. In far you see nomads crossing by. You are delighted. In the hope if getting water you walked towards them.
      If the people refuse to share water, will you be sad and disappointed?
      Or they share the water, will you be happy?
      Taking rest when you are tired makes us happy. Eating food when you hungry makes you happy. You have to create the food. Addicted gets the stuffs to be happy. They move their asses and go looking for some. You have typed long comment just to be happy. The lines you wrote in beginning went over your head and you became unhappy, displeased. That dissatisfaction lead you to write the long comment and thus feeling satisfied again.
      Each movement of us is looking for happiness. This line is scientifically approved. Killing self is looking for happiness because they lack happiness. There are different ways to be happy but they are temporal. To be happy permanently, one strive to become a Buddha. As I countered you I feel happy.
