It's so nice that Hollmer's music lives on and is appreciated all over the world! I had never heard of him until Spotify's Discover Weekly recommended this song to me (seriously, that recommendation system was SCARY good in the beginning, these days it's like it has shown me all the good stuff already though). "XII Sibirska Cyklar" is just such a wonderful, hilarious album, and it's great that traditional accordionists appreciate it, as well as Balkan/Klezmer guys and Swedish prog rockers. I wonder if the great European romantic comedy of 2000, "Pane e Tulipani", which featured Hollmer's music, influenced the choice of soundtrack for the great European romantic comedy of 2001, "Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain".
I am still wondering how this song came to spread throughout the world. It’s a bit of a lovely mystery.
Incredible trio! Guy, What an honor for a great musician Lars Holmer. and accordion companion to you!
Lars HOLLMER composer, one of the greatest.
