If I send you a link to a website can you tell me what type of plugin they're using for their customization form? I'm getting a bit confused on bundle vs composite plugin. I need a dropdown list of several options and each dropdown my customer has to choose between two options before proceeding to the next item.I also don't want them to be able to put into cart until every customizable option has been chosen. There's no simple way to sell these products. Everything is customizable on multiple levels. I hope that makes sense! I hope you're still commenting on this video. It was great btw!!! Great Video. I purchased the woo commerce Product Bundles. When viewing the bundle all the products are listed with a thumbnail image. Is there a way to click on a product on the list and see a full product description? Currently if you click on the thumbnail it just makes it nice and large but not expanded information

Hello, thanks for the video. I bought the Composite Products plugin, but currently I thinking about using the "money back" option. My component product is displaying poorly. A product placeholder is displayed on the left and the remaining selection fields are squeezed into the corner on the right - some with overlaid fonts. I use Astra Pro and Elementor Pro. I also created my product page with Elementor Pro. The documentation on scenarios didn't help me either. The currently displayed design is so far removed from what I had in mind and seems so unprofessional that I can't use it like that ... Or do you have another helpful tip for me? Great explanation, but I do have one question: what about the physical restrictions of the giftbox? We have 3 different boxes, 1, 2 and 3 slots and products that will fit in 1 slot, a half slot or third slot and finally the giftboxes are priced products themselves... Any ideas on this?

Just purchased composite products and this explains it well. If you were to have say 5 different basket sizes that the customer would have to choose first (or last?), once they've chosen their basket and moved on to other categories is it possible to limit the total number of products they can add overall depending on what basket was chosen?
Wow, this is weird you say this, because in the example I showed you - I had to do exactly this myself. Sadly it was not something that the plugin does - but I hear it that it is in the pipeline on a future update. I had to use a bit of jQuery to accomplish this. It was not overly difficult to do though, and would be happy to share the code with you if you needed to achieve it.

Hi Great Video!! Ready to get it but need to find out if I can use a 3d image and have it work in a side to side layout so you see the 3d image get updated as the items are picked. But we only sell packs of 6 items in one category. we want to give the opportunity for the client to choose it's own content of the pack if, for example, he is allergic to carrots and want to replace it with another product. Do you think I will have to use both plugins? Or would it be ok with just the bundle one? Great video. Is it possible for a component to have its price change dynamically based on a metric like height? But have the height inputted manually by the customer. So for example the cost is £1 if the height inputted is between 0 and 30cm, £2 between 30cm and 60cm, etc? Thanks!

Is it possible to change the selectable products in step 2 depending on what I have chosen in step one? For example when I choose in Step 1 Option A it should appear only Option 1,2,3 in Step 2. When I choose Option B in step 1 it should appear only an option for 1,4,5. Realworld Example: You choose "print" in step 1 than you can choose the frame-type "hard wood", "metal". If you choose "canvas" in step 1 you can choose "hard wood", "pvc", "spruce"
Hi, I know what you mean with this - it could be possible with a bit of jQuery however no, this plugin does not have this functionality built in, which I agree would be totally perfect. There is a plugin that can do this to a lesser extent called WC Fields Factory though that you might want to check out, however it doesn't display it half as well as this does.

But I'm looking for an option of buying a single ring or a pair, considering that each ring has its own size. Thanks for the video! The styling on my theme is awful, and for each component it has only three columns, even though the theme is set to 4 columns and works fine in the product category pages. It also wants to show a product picture for the 'Build your own...' product, which appears next to the component images. On a different note, is it possible to hide all pricing and only show a finished product price, and to include an assembly cost? And finally, can you make a composite product that is conditional on each step before it - eg if they first chose a large hamper in your example, prices for later selections would be higher than if they chose a small.

The sale of a product in a Composite has the same effect on its stock as an individual sale. When configuring a Composite product, if the available stock quantity of a chosen product is below the minimum threshold required by the Component it belongs to, then the Composite appears with an Insufficient Stock status and cannot be purchased.

Thanks, it looks like it may do what I am looking for. I have a client who sells hampers but they come with the set items. As they are selling gift hampers, they would like to have the 'child' products that they set up individually to maintain stock control. These products could then be attached to the 'parent' product (i.e. a hamper) When the user clicks on the 'child' hamper they would a popup (or similar) with the description showing. As there will be a double up of the 'child' products that will be used for various hampers, it is important that they have stock control and inventory on these 'child' products. Is the Composite Product plugin the best one to achieve this. Later on they want to have a "build your own" ability but for now they are set hamper contents.
Hi, I have shop with printings on t-shirts. I want to add to media 4 images of clean color t-shirts /black, white, red, green/. Is it possible with composite product later to add just image of printing vinyl to merge vinyl image with all colors of t-shirts to make variable product? /products are same price/ . Sam Love this video. Wondering if you can chime in on some other WooCommerce concerns...? In WooC, We want to edit orders before they're complete. Ideally we can edit the product title, description and the price. Ideally, the difference in price would be charged or refunded. Is there a plugin that can do that?? Seems it's a complicated process to change an order that results in a refund or an additional charge -- do you know how?

I have a question. I will be selling a product on my store, and there are 6 color variations. Customers will be able to buy exactly 3 units to receive a discount on a 3 unit package, and select three color variations. Customers will be able to buy exactly 6 units to receive a discount on that package, and select six color variations. My question: How can allow the customer to select 3 color variations in the 3 pack before adding to the cart, as well as the same for the 6 pack? That’s where I’m stuck.

What if you have a composite product because it comes with products sold seperatly and you want to put that inside a product bundle? This product bundle will go in a second product like in your video. Composite - bundle - composite - variable - variable - simple - bundle - simple - simple
I use composite products on these places because the main composite product (this one has multiple product bundles) needs to the scenarios and the choice between different products and needs to be able to buy only 1 bundle of those at a time. The one at the end needs to be sold seperatly and has 2 optional variable products.
I would definitely like to purchase this plugin, however this bit of code does Not make sense to be a subscription service to me. I would purchase this as a one time payment, otherwise i will find another plugin with the same functionality. I sincerely hope to hear back regarding this, thank you. Quick question, just looking to add either composite products or bundled products and trying to figure this out. We sell floor coatings. You can buy each item individually or you can buy a system that puts several of the products together for you. No a system may have one specific top coat, one decorative flake option, and one base coat, but the base coat comes in several different colors (a variable product), the flakes also come in several colors or sizes (also a variable product.) I'm thinking because it's just one flake options, a bundle product would work, but would the end user be able to choose which flake color & size? Can I limit options and not allow certain colors? Also, I just thought of this, if my base coat is a select color that is more expensive but I have a 'fixed' price for the system, can I exclude that color or allow it to add cost? The base coat is already set as a variable product that shows the price difference when the select color is chosen. Thanks for your help.
Hi Rob, sorry it took so long to get back to you - I completely missed this comment! I *think* I understand your scenario, and from what I understand of what you are saying - the plugin *should* be able to achieve this. It might be worth speaking to the plugin developers just to make sure though as I wouldn't necessarily want to be providing the wrong info to you. I've had a few people come back to me with different situations (some more complicated than others), so whilst in some situation I can definitely say that it is possible, I'd probably recommend emailing them direct as they'll be able to clarify this!
hey thats brilliant but what if theres a scenario.... you can pick 7 out of 10 flavours for a basket... no matter what flavours you add the price of the basket will always remain the same for example at 17.50... how would i go about doing that NEED HELP LOL hey guys how are you? You don't have to have both. If you have just one item to pick per section, then Composite plugin on its own will be fine - ie: in the example of creating a skateboard - Choose Your Wheels, Choose Your Deck etc (you cannot choose more than one per category). Whereas adding the Bundles plugin to it will enable you to create more of a "hamper" style system where you can select more than one item per category before moving on to the next one.

seems like this is a pain in the ass if you want to style it with custom css. i tried targeting an h1 by it's class according to what it said when i right-click>inspected the h1. I tried changing the font size and it did not work. I tried targeting a couple other things on the page related to composite products plugin and again was unable to change anything using custom css.

Hi Great Video!! Ready to get it but need to find out if I can use a 3d image and have it work in a side to side layout so you see the 3d image get updated as the items are picked. Its possible to use verge3d with woocommerce so I am hoping I can embed an html file into the product page. Also do you have anything that can help in re-doing the product page? I would think that would be something that will sell like crazy.

Hey, thank you for your video, very interesting. I have to build a website where you can choose different product variation. But we only sell packs of 6 items in one category. we want to give the opportunity for the client to choose it's own content of the pack if, for example, he is allergic to carrots and want to replace it with another product. Do you think I will have to use both plugins? Or would it be ok with just the bundle one? I can't figure what is the best way between grouped products, bundles, min/max order, and composite. would you be able to get me going in the right direction? Thank you

Great video. Is it possible for a component to have its price change dynamically based on a metric like height? But have the height inputted manually by the customer. So for example the cost is £1 if the height inputted is between 0 and 30cm, £2 between 30cm and 60cm, etc? Thanks!

Is it possible to change the selectable products in step 2 depending on what I have chosen in step one? For example when I choose in Step 1 Option A it should appear only Option 1,2,3 in Step 2. When I choose Option B in step 1 it should appear only an option for 1,4,5.
Realworld Example: You choose "print" in step 1 than you can choose the frame-type "hard wood", "metal". If you choose "canvas" in step 1 you can choose "hard wood", "pvc", "spruce"
Hi, I know what you mean with this - it could be possible with a bit of jQuery however no, this plugin does not have this functionality built in, which I agree would be totally perfect. There is a plugin that can do this to a lesser extent called WC Fields Factory though that you might want to check out, however it doesn't display it half as well as this does.
Great video. Would you help me with another situation? I'm trying to assemble an option where the customer can buy wedding rings. But I'm looking for an option of buying a single ring or a pair, considering that each ring has its own size. It would be like buy one, select the size; or buy a pair pair of rings and select size A and size B, but pricing individualy. Thanks a lot
Thanks for the video! The styling on my theme is awful, and for each component it has only three columns, even though the theme is set to 4 columns and works fine in the product category pages. It also wants to show a product picture for the 'Build your own...' product, which appears next to the component images.
On a different note, is it possible to hide all pricing and only show a finished product price, and to include an assembly cost?
And finally, can you make a composite product that is conditional on each step before it - eg if they first chose a large hamper in your example, prices for later selections would be higher than if they chose a small.
You can do this via scenarios option just below the component. Check documentation of the plugging for more clearity. Thanks

The sale of a product in a Composite has the same effect on its stock as an individual sale. When configuring a Composite product, if the available stock quantity of a chosen product is below the minimum threshold required by the Component it belongs to, then the Composite appears with an Insufficient Stock status and cannot be purchased.

Thanks, it looks like it may do what I am looking for. I have a client who sells hampers but they come with the set items. As they are selling gift hampers, they would like to have the 'child' products that they set up individually to maintain stock control. These products could then be attached to the 'parent' product (i.e. a hamper) When the user clicks on the 'child' hamper they would a popup (or similar) with the description showing. As there will be a double up of the 'child' products that will be used for various hampers, it is important that they have stock control and inventory on these 'child' products. Is the Composite Product plugin the best one to achieve this. Later on they want to have a "build your own" ability but for now they are set hamper contents.
Hi, I have shop with printings on t-shirts. I want to add to media 4 images of clean color t-shirts /black, white, red, green/. Is it possible with composite product later to add just image of printing vinyl to merge vinyl image with all colors of t-shirts to make variable product? /products are same price/ . Sam Love this video. Wondering if you can chime in on some other WooCommerce concerns...? In WooC, We want to edit orders before they're complete. Ideally we can edit the product title, description and the price. Ideally, the difference in price would be charged or refunded. Is there a plugin that can do that?? Seems it's a complicated process to change an order that results in a refund or an additional charge -- do you know how?

Hi Sam, I've installed the plugins and followed the steps you show in the video exactly, but the bundles are only showing up as single products with no pricing and no options. The layout is working, but the dropdown just gives the one option. I'm wondering if I'm missing another plugin or a step... Can you think of what might be causing this?

Customers will be able to buy exactly 3 units to receive a discount on a 3 unit package, and select three color variations.
Customers will be able to buy exactly 6 units to receive a discount on that package, and select six color variations.
My question: How can allow the customer to select 3 color variations in the 3 pack before adding to the cart, as well as the same for the 6 pack?

Hello, I have one question about the receipt. I installed this plugin, it works great, the thing is that at the receipt it shows the subtotal price of each tab/section but I want to be shown the price individually on the receipt. Can you help me with that please?

What if you have a composite product because it comes with products sold seperatly and you want to put that inside a product bundle? This product bundle will go in a second product like in your video.

I use composite products on these places because the main composite product (this one has multiple product bundles) needs to the scenarios and the choice between different products and needs to be able to buy only 1 bundle of those at a time.
The one at the end needs to be sold seperatly and has 2 optional variable products.

Quick question, just looking to add either composite products or bundled products and trying to figure this out. We sell floor coatings. You can buy each item individually or you can buy a system that puts several of the products together for you. No a system may have one specific top coat, one decorative flake option, and one base coat, but the base coat comes in several different colors (a variable product), the flakes also come in several colors or sizes (also a variable product.) I'm thinking because it's just one flake options, a bundle product would work, but would the end user be able to choose which flake color & size? Can I limit options and not allow certain colors? Also, I just thought of this, if my base coat is a select color that is more expensive but I have a 'fixed' price for the system, can I exclude that color or allow it to add cost? The base coat is already set as a variable product that shows the price difference when the select color is chosen. Thanks for your help.
Hi Rob, sorry it took so long to get back to you - I completely missed this comment! I *think* I understand your scenario, and from what I understand of what you are saying - the plugin *should* be able to achieve this. It might be worth speaking to the plugin developers just to make sure though as I wouldn't necessarily want to be providing the wrong info to you. I've had a few people come back to me with different situations (some more complicated than others), so whilst in some situation I can definitely say that it is possible, I'd probably recommend emailing them direct as they'll be able to clarify this!
hey thats brilliant but what if theres a scenario.... you can pick 7 out of 10 flavours for a basket... no matter what flavours you add the price of the basket will always remain the same for example at 17.50... how would i go about doing that

Do I have to have Composite and bundles? I purchased Composite and now I am confused.
You don't have to have both. If you have just one item to pick per section, then Composite plugin on its own will be fine - ie: in the example of creating a skateboard - Choose Your Wheels, Choose Your Deck etc (you cannot choose more than one per category). Whereas adding the Bundles plugin to it will enable you to create more of a "hamper" style system where you can select more than one item per category before moving on to the next one.

seems like this is a pain in the ass if you want to style it with custom css. i tried targeting an h1 by it's class according to what it said when i right-click>inspected the h1. I tried changing the font size and it did not work. I tried targeting a couple other things on the page related to composite products plugin and again was unable to change anything using custom css.
