ER's shortage in match endurance showed up from the 8th game i'd say but take nothing away from KB, she went for the kill from that point on. Great work out for both of them ahead of Wimbledon. Draper and De Minaur won today on the ATP with Draper the new British number 1.
I think Nottingham has been a really good tournament considering how few bagels and wide score differences there have been. Instead, fans have been treated to many tiebreakers at the pointy end of the draw. The crowds will feel they’ve had value for money with pretty much well-matched players. That couldn’t be said for Paris recently with a bagel and breadstick-fest for a few. Potapova 6-0 6-0 and Vondrousova 6-0 6-2 were particularly bad performances considering their pedigree. We know it’s not because Iga was all-powerful as Osaka almost took her out and Osaka has been beaten on her follow up this week. Just my opinion, interested to hear another view?
Great point anyone that pays their hardworking disposable income always wants to feel they’ve got their moneys worth, what better way to be treated to a long match you can enjoy food and beverage and a suspenseful ride, however we don’t want to take anything from Iga if she’s winning based on her ability and preparation but better tougher scheduling in the draws needs to happen as well
This pair of finalists are in the same Birmingham quarter

I agree she definitely stepped her game up in a major way Katie took it ❤️

@@TennisinaMinute No, I wouldn't knock Iga. She can only beat whoever is on the other side of the net
