- I'm not a mechanic, but I do like a challenge. Sadly, I didn't figure out this fix on the road, but it will work for you if there's a hardware store nearby. This is a temporary fix and it may break again after several minutes or several days. I'm going on four days now and I do deliveries on my bike. Anyway, If you are desperate and you don't want to shift without a clutch to get home (which I did), then this ought to get you going again (unless it's past 9pm and the hardware store is closed). Good luck and ride... however the hell you want because safe is no fun.
I know the video is old but you just got me back on the road, for now..thanks brother.
Saved my ass right now on the road fixing it. Thanks a million bro
That's great! I wish I had come up with this idea at the moment the cable broke. I rode home by doing a push start and not stopping for 10 miles. Shifting was mildly jolting, more mentally than physically at the thought of mistreating such a wonderful machine.
Ryan Pitterle I've been there too.. And might i add its a bit easier to push start carborated bikes as oppose to fuel injected...
Anyways. With your fix I'm confident I'll make it until i get a new cable.
Just wanted to give you a shout out and say thanks ! I got my bike home 🤙
Wait how do I do this exactly I’m lost and got this problem rn
Did this on my dirtbike as a temporary fix... lol still going
Did you figure it out on your own or did you see my video first?
@@ReallySadTurtle you taught me that
@@factdesignbr Awesome, it's immensely satisfyingly to know I made someone's life a little better.
Nice hornet
Late reply but thanks. It was beat up, but it was a damn nice bike no matter what. I wish I still had it. The police stole it.
