I was asking to myself everything you explained in this video. Thank you very much! Question: Everytime you change from pool to pool you have to pay Adas?
Hello Thanks for great info as always.. Quick question: im using my trezor to stake through adalite. How do i claim my rewards? or does it happen automatically?
@@CardanoWithPaul So you could re-stake every 5 days your earnings and receive compound interest every 5 days. This would make staking in big pools, that offer earnings more rapidly, more rewarding. Do you agree, or do you have a different opinion?
Hi Paul, I have a question. With current saturation parameters (64M until March) would I get exactly the same amount in rewards between, for example: Pool A: 62M in active stake Pool B: 30 M in active stake Let's assume that all the other variables are equal between them (variable fee, fixed fee, pledge, etc...). Thanks in advance! Great content as usual :)
Hey Gustavo, thanks for the feedback. Rewards should be roughly the same, there is a luck factor on the pool side that determines how many blocks a pool is assigned in each epoch but it generally averages out over time as long as the pool is up to date and running without any issue. Even 2 pools with the exact same stake and variables wouldn't give the exact same results every epoch as the lottery in the algorithm decides how many blocks each pool gets in each epoch and hence the amount of rewards that are available to split between delegators. Also just to note - Active stake is the stake that is counted in that specific epoch so if LIVE stake is different the active stake in the next epoch will be different
The difference would be tiny -- stake pools get allocated blocks to mint randomly, but also in proportion to their stake -- so there's a luck factor to consider each epoch. Luck varies from epoch to epoch. Sometimes you get 120% performance, and sometimes you get 80% -- but over a long period of time, it should avg. out to about 100% lifetime luck. Plus there's less risk of the 30M pool going over the saturation limit overnight.
Hi Paul. Did you get around to creating a channel / newsletter for delegators? Considering switching my stake over to your pool. I like the content you're putting out. Keep up the good work.

Great info, subbed! I have a question. I get this message in Atomic wallet when trying to change to your pool. Is this correct? "ADA is already staked and earnings interests and I have to wait 20 days to get first interest."
Thanks for picking my pool and the sub Akeman. When you first start staking it takes 15-20 days to get your first rewards and then every 5 days after that. When you switch pools it doesn't take the 15 - 20 again. I'd say they have that message in case people are moving within the first few days as they don't see rewards
@@CardanoWithPaul Thanks for quick answer Paul. I have staked there and got a few rewards and still get this message. Maybe a bug in the software then. Thanks!
Exact message: "ADA is already staked and earnings interests. If you change the pool, you will have to wait for 20 days to receive first rewards." It specifically says that I earn interest and if I change pool now. Strange, I have to ask Atomic support.
That's strange as thats not how the staking works. You should still earn rewards from your old pool while waiting to start in your new pool. The 20 day wait should only be for your first staking rewards and not whe switching pools
If you do contact support will you let me know what they say. I'm away today but will contact them later to clarify anyway if you don't get them. Happy new year
The ranking system in Daedalus isn't fully accurate for smaller pools. I think my pool probably said potential 0 this epoch and last but we gave rewards in the last and already have blocks in the current epoch so will have rewards here too. Hopefully they will do some more work on it to improve it for future releases as right now it pushes people to pools that are already nearly saturated
Hi Paul thanks for the video, I just delegated some Ada to meld ispo poll 5 it’s 90% saturated but was producing 710 blocks compared to my other option was meld pool 8 which is 7.14% saturated but only producing 4 blocks, the ispo is only going until dec 8th 2021, am I right in thinking I will receive more rewards in meld pool 5 because it is producing more blocks??
Can I send to another delegation even if I have not received the rewards yet from the current pool that’s getting saturated? What happens to the epoch time when you redelegate?
Hi Paul just wondering what will happens if a staking pool that I delegate my ada suddenly disappears? Will I be able to recover my ADA and if so how? Thank you.
Yes both are active. What wallet are you trying to delegate from? in Daedalus they use different IDs so on the confirmation page it shows IDs starting with pool1 but once the ticker is PAUL you are good

Paul, do you or anyone else know if it is better to have a Mac or Windows laptop for investing with ADA or Altcoins, even Bitcoin. I have a Ledger X that I should be getting in about 4 days, I don't know what kind of computer to get. I plan on getting involved in crypto as a novice investor a lot more and I'm a real noob. Also, Binance U.S. sucks.
I personally use just windows but a lot of the applications are browser based so the OS shouldn't matter too much. Some software or wallets that you download run better on windows but most are building Mac versions too
If someone puts in 5,000 and I put in 1,000,000 are we getting the same percentage in rewards? Example are we both getting 5% of what is left over? And would that 5 % be standard in every pool?
For most smaller pools Daedalus doesn't give accurate data. My pool has had a big growth in stake lately and we are now getting blocks in every epoch so we should now be hitting the same average as the bigger pools of 5% - 6%. As we get a few of them epochs under our belt the stats in Daedalus will change too. If you have any other questions on it let me know
It is the parameter that determines saturation level. Currently a pool becomes saturated when there is more than 64M stake in it and this is changing to 32M in March
Thanks for the primer, helped me decide who to stake.
Thank you for your video my stake pool was 100% saturated. So I am now staking with you @ Paul!!!

Yes the 2 ADA is a one time deposit, anything new added to a wallet that is already staked will be auto staked without any fee
