Crowey caught this fish on a bog standard stripped-backed braid rig - there is definitely no need to use a rig like the 1 shown here - no need for bells and whistles- just keep it simple guys and be confident in what your doing ,concentrate more on getting your simple rig where the fish are or where they frequent.why spend time and effort tying these rigs (in the video) when you can tie a basic rig up in seconds 😉
100% agree with this. Location and watercraft with simple reliable rigs will always come out on top over a fancy rig in a poor location 💪
Why the putty on the stiff section rather than just after on the softer material?
I’m also looking for a good reason that people do this, I’ve found the weight on the hook section means it won’t spin as well, and also doesn’t sit as nicely with a pop up on, almost leans back. Also much more parranoid about buoyancy. If you add putty to the boom part, it seems to alleviate all of this and give you the option to over weight
Please can someone explain the benefits of putting putty on chod section rather than boom. I feel this makes the section lean back slightly and also hinders spinning mechanics. So why not attach to the boom ?
😂
😂
Great stuff! We don't see enough of Lewis these days.
You'll be happy to know an in session video with Lewis is coming soon too then 😊
Good presentation and like previous comment good to see new face
Great video ,,, love the knot tying diagrams
I can't tell you anything about carp fishing but those ccmoore pop ups require no extra buoyancy Lewis. A 14 mil northern+ will stay popped up for days.
Great pop ups
Mega mate mega

What a fish 😎🎣
The NEWS AT 10: Big Fish Rig catches Big Fish
😂😂
I don’t know why a professional “ angler uses ready tied rigs , anybody could do that that’s not skill .. I wouldn’t be satisfied if I caught on a pre tied rig..
'Professional '😂😂
Tbh they’re made near identical and if you’re getting them for free then why not.
