I read ACOMAF right after my sexual assault and feyre and I had a lot of similar symptoms of PTSD and it honestly is one of my favorite books for that reason and it has stuck with me because she helped me through that hard time and helped me feel not so alone and feel like I can get stronger. Love ACOMAF ❤️

I've been watching your videos for about a month now and yes, maybe the way you looked in a thumbnail, caught my eye. But there are plenty of conventionally good looking UA-camrs that I see one video of and can't stand watching any more. But you just have such a warm and passionate way of talking about reading and journalling, that I couldn't help but subscribe. You remind me of one of my other favorite booktubers, Gabby Reads, you don't have the same taste in books at all, but you both talk about books in such an amazing way and seem like genuinely awesome people.

I've been reading TOG with my boyfriend recently after we read ACOTAR a few months ago, and I told him the EXACT SAME THING when we were reading Heir of Fire. Reading both of those just makes me so emotional, but especially ACOMAF. Just something about seeing these two badass, strong women REALIZE that they're strong and badass in their darkest moments is sooo inspiring to me. I always, always read ACOMAF when I'm feeling super down about myself!
I relate to everything you say. I don't feel good enough either because people started to unsubscribe from me once I started to change my content to books and stuff. I think it's good for you to talk about yourself and getting stuff off your chest. Hope you get more subscribers and feel more confident!
I relate to the "sometimes you think a books not gonna be as good as the first time you read it" I recently re read the dark tower and I wasn't sure if I would still love certain parts as much as I did the first time but I enjoyed them more. Same with name of the wind.

Firstly, I just wanted to say I adore your channel - I quite literally binge-watched/listened to all of your videos for the last 3-4 weeks during work and free time and have even stopped reading the TOG series (on Assassin's Blade) until I could finish your videos. Secondly, one tiny fun fact because I am a new SJM fan since this year is that I live in the same county as her, which is just a bit north of Philly!
I'm going to try to condense my thoughts into a shorter message, but I wanted to also say I completely understand the realist/pessimist debate because I am the exact same as you. I want to remind you that you are always, always good enough, even though I don't practice what I preach as often. You have wonderful insight and a glowing personality, and that's exactly why you have the following you do ❤️ You have huge expectations for yourself, and you do a fantastic job of meeting them. I'm sure the last thing any of your viewers want is for you to get anxious or overwhelmed. We support you for you!!
My final thought related to ACOMAF - I read this series first before TOG, and it truly changed me as a person. I'm diagnosed with PTSD due to trauma from an ex, and reading ACOTAR plus ACOMAF felt like a fantasy-genre version of my life. Watching her heal and crying with her through the flashbacks, triggers and aftermath of trauma made me adore this series beyond what I imagined. I've been told TOG will destroy me, so I'm definitely bracing myself for this ride!

I'm the only person on Earth who prefers ACOTAR over ACOMAF. don't get me wrong I love both but I just love the first book SO much! I am always impressed with SJM and how she made me love the "villian" but ACOTAR is so interesting to me.

honestly i adore you and your youtube and i love everything you post. i definitely subscribe to you because i like to hear your opinions on books and i truly do care about what you have to say. i love how well you review books and i think you definitely don't give yourself enough credit! i also understand you're having these thoughts and it's completely normal. i do these things a lot especially on normal day to day things in my life. your feelings are completely justified and we know you are not completely perfect and you have your bad days. you're human and anyone who expects you to be anything other than that would be ridiculous yaknow? i know you didn't necessarily want feedback but i want you to know i adore you and your feelings are normal. i'm actually honestly scared to start a bookstagram even though i'd love it and i love everyone on there i follow currently. it's because i don't have all the things they have or all the skills to take good pictures and all the books they have. i don't have a lot of books i mean i have a little over 100 but i don't have other things people put in their posts on bookstagram and it makes me a little sad but that's just the negative talking. like i said, you are not alone.

It sounds like impostor syndrome! I'm not a booktuber but I've had this feeling with so many things in life, especially career and school-related things
I don't think until very recently did I realise that I am not a pessimist, rather I'm a realist... I agree that I can be pessimistic in certain ways but most of the time I've been just a plainly, stubbornly realistic person.... but funnily enough, I am highly optimistic about certain things, which I think comes from the part of me that always hopes for everything to be better, the part of me that will always remain a child

Hm... I do find that the most popular booktubers are rather pretty/attractive based on conventional standards of beauty. Something to think about for sure! I have a feeling that subconsciously people like to watch beautiful people on UA-cam. It makes sense. Popular people tend to be attractive. Same goes for the business world. Same. It's sort of the same self doubt when you post a pic on instagram of something you're excited about and get soo many less likes than a picture of yourself. Like why do people care more about appearance that what I have to say, hello the other thing I posted is so much more interesting!

Am I the only one who doesn't understand why someone would have the physical _hardback_ of a book and _still_ buy the audiobook. I mean everyone else can do what they want, it's their book collection, no shade but... I just personally don't get it.
