And that melody time was awesome brotha.... Just into some heavenly mood🥰
Oh wow... thanks and I am glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
@@Prexsplay Hi Brotha, did u had any issue in using this midi keyboard with Omnisphere and Keyscape...??? Mine is not working... How did you solved it if you had any issue at first....
plz help
Hello what kind of issues... never had any kind of issues with Omnisphere
@@Prexsplay its giving no sound in omnisphere nd keyscape.... But works in all othr instruments.....
Oh never heard of that before! Have you checked the settings... maybe you need to select the midi controller in the settings!
Man, that piano sounds so emotional! Great job! Such a warm ambience ...
MARKOICELA thank you so much! And thanks for watching!
Beautiful playing mate, My girl just ordered one for my B'day and it arrives very soon to replace my PCR 800 61key. I cannot wait! thanks for the vid :)
Shane Stapylton excellent bro. You will really enjoy this baby! It’s quite very cheap for what it can achieve. Happy birthday to you and enjoy your new studio member 😂👍🏻!
@@Prexsplay Cheers mate, I really need the 88 keys for my controller. I'll still have the other one hooked up too. Should make things easier with recording more layers. :)
do you still recommend it ? i'll buy the LX61+ ?
@@amirkahwagy7585 for sure, I don't feel theres a problem with velocity for the LX88+
Sweet melodies and overall great compositions skills
Thanks for the kind words. Appreciate it.
that was some lovely music... thank you
Thanks
This sounds so good, I was deciding whether or not to buy the board and man... this has won me over!
I am glad you like it. This board is surprisingly good stuff! I really love the keys! Thanks for watching!
Ok bro I feel your pain but what I would say is that if you are going to use it as a pianist then by all means go for the maudio bcus of the weighted hammer action keys. But if you are like me, you wanna use it for studio production or on the road, the nektar is the clear winner. Super light and semi-weighted keys. Comes with a lot of faders and knobs to control your daw and much more. I hope this helps you decide. Have fun.
Ok then… it’s actually made for the studio! So that would work well 👌🏿
@@Prexsplay I just sold my LX keyboard to a friend and bought the GX61. It's another great option if like me you don't need the DAW controls. I thought I would use them but in reality I use mouse and keyboard for everything the keyboard has on it and prefer it that way.
Yes definitely agree with you on the this. It makes sense if you don’t need the daw controls. 👌🏿
Damn.. That was beautiful though.. Wasn’t expecting all that. Listened/watched that 3 times.
Oh wow! Thanks for watching and for the kind words!
Kind music warms the heart. This kinda music you play represents peace and love. Ever notice violent crazy folks listen to.... Well I'm sure you get it LOL
Hahahahaha.... I got the joke 😂
@@Prexsplay nice playing bro. I want to have midi keyboard like yours. Is it compatible to my Android phone? Thank you.
Yes as long as the music app can connect to it!
You created your own bit of the universe with that peice. Beautiful brother.

Thank you, it was an experience!!

Solid bro. You gave me a moment. Thanks.
Kelvin Pogue thanks for watching and listening!
Sounds like gold in your hands🤘
Thank you so much! I appreciate it.
So beautiful man 😍 Have you done some kind of mix and master or is the sound directly coming from the keyscape? Cause when I play it doesn't sound that good as I dont know to mix and master properly I guess.
Thanks for the kind words…No mix at all! Straight from the default settings.
@@Prexsplay Then it's your soulful playing which is making it sound so beautiful 😍🙌
Well… I take that as a compliment! Thanks.
such beautiful playing. Did you need to make any additional changes to the Velocity setting, or is the Nektar just that good?!
Jason Shrestha no adjustments bro! Just the default settings! Thanks for the kind words.
It is a great keyboard, but I have fallen in love with the Native Instruments Komplete S Series. Still kept the Nektar 88+ but sadly it now gets little use.
Oh wow! Interesting! I love it for the controls and on the lower budget side!
@@Prexsplay The Nektar has great keys and as you said for the price, a great keyboard. and it looks cool to, always an advantage cos it makes you wants to play it
Wow wow great play :)
That keyboard and keyscape = 🔥🔥🔥
Did you use a sustain pedal?
HudzPro thanks 🙏🏿. Yes I did use a sustain pedal!
HudzPro why do you ask?
@@Prexsplay Hey, is the sustain pedal included in the price ? When yes; how can i add it to the Keyboard ? Sorry for my bad english. I'm from Germany ^^
Kalli Hagen oh no! Sorry u have to get the sustain pedal separately! No it’s ok! I am here to help!
@@Prexsplay Thx :) btw... nice Video =) I'll buy this MidiKeyboard next week :)
Hi. liking your free styling around E flat. And Keyscape as always comes across as a wonderful library. I understand the Nektar keyboards have something like 4 levels of touch response as as setting inside. I wonder with time of you have tried different response settings, because in this video, it did sound like it was a bit abrupt, giving a few quite powerful notes standing out.
I look to Nektar for my next keyboard controller. Thanks for the nice video
Hello thanks for watching and I apologize for the late reply. I have actually tried the 4 levels but I left it in the default settings cus it works best for me. I didn’t tweak any settings on the keyboard just factory. It works for me that way. Thanks.
Keyscape software has its own response curves for many model of keyboard but on top of that you can infinitely make the curve exactly how you like.
True. Yea but like I said! I left it on default on both the software and Nektar Lx 88+
@@Prexsplay the point was its never going to be an issue on pretty well any key-bed as its tun-able inside keyscape i made my own curve and it made a massive difference. Everyone plays and has a different feel so a dozen people may have varying reactions to the same unit but surprisingly you can learn and adapt even to a bad curve if you try hard enough
Yes true… that’s correct! 👍🏾
That was nice playing brother.. really understand your message on ur playing bro.. let’s collabe one day 😁
ElektroMoog thanks bro! Sure! I am open to rub minds with musicians! Thanks for your encouragement! Hope to connect in a bigger way!
By the way... you have great content! Keep it up bro! I wanna put out more stuffs too when I get the chance to do that! Nice work mate!
Great midi controller and great vst!
Thank you so much! 🙏🏿
Yeah ... I was deciding yesterday between Arturia keylab or Nektar impact
Ok cool! Have u decided now? It all depends on your needs and your budget at the moment! I was surprised that I fell in love with this midi controller. Even for me I was torn between keylab and I went for this. My daw is Studio one and it works flawlessly with it. The integration is superb. Which version is on your mind?
@@Prexsplay Have you ever compared LX88 with Keylab Essential 88, Keylab MK2 61, LX61, GXP61? At least something. Interesting is your assessment of the feel of the keys, where they are more like weighted ones like those of a piano?
I want 61 keys, but the feel of the keys is no worse than the nectar lx88. Thank you.
@e0236 hey thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately I don’t have arturia keylab. Only the minilab I have. But from what I have heard, it’s not really bad. Not far from Lx88+ because they are semi weighted. But for piano playing I would advise you go for a weighted key if your budget allows.
Wow..beautifull...
Thank you! Thanks for watching!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks
Nice playing! I am interested in this keyboard because I have tried hammer actions and they feel a bit slugish. I like to have the option to play quickly. Eg consecutive 16th notes on a particular key, at a reasonable tempo. Is this possible on this keyboard? My other question relates to the noize of the keys, would you say they are quiet, loud or average? I expect there is always going to be a thud if you hit the note hard, but what irritates me on my current board is that when you take your finger off the key quickly it rattles when it comes back to the top, so its even louder on key release than on key press. Do the keys on the LX88+ do that at all?
hey thanks for the kind words. For this keyboard ...you will not get a super experience when playing compared to other highend keýboards or midi controller. But i can assure you that you will be surprised at the feel you will get from this keyboard. i have grown to understand and enjoy it. The noise from the the keys are not too loud but they are there. It is semi-weighted and made of plastics. I believe it is a steal given the price range. I hope you find what you are looking for in this keyboard. Cheers
Here it is, I wish I could have my hands on this controller. I'm really interested on Impact XL88 for the benefit of it being a MIDI keyboard controller with lots of functions to control also DAW parameters. Can't find it easy in Brazil.
Currently, my hardware controls are A88 as my keyboard, and Novation Launch Control XL as my control surface. I love A88's feel and action.
What is the heavyness of the Impact XL88 compared to Roland's Ivory G keybed?
Other than that, awesome video. LA Custom C7 is a piano that can't be missing on any sound library. In fact, Keyscape is the must-have in terms of keyboard instruments.
Thanks for the demo.
Edu Camargo hello... the Keys according to paper Is semi-weighted. But from my experience they are just plastic keys without any weight. As a piano player, it is not recommended but I got because of the price and the buttons as a studio controller or live giging.
Thanks for watching all the way fri Brazil. Appreciate.
Thanks for the quick response. Well, in case it has some sort of hammer action, like the A88, I'm alright with semi waighted keys. I had the Komplete Kontrol S88 MK I but switched for the A88 because:
1. Didn't find the accessibility of Komplete Kontrol atractive, specially when you're dealling with drum sounds. Thought I'd be able to control seperate outputs for the drums through the keyboard, but you're still Kontakt dependent for this purpose, so the kontrol is not that komplete for my taste. AS a blind musician, I use REAPER, and I found I had more functionalities, more controls that I had using the Komplete Kontrol plug-in. But see, this is my observation; there are lots of blind musicians quite content with Komplete Kontrol. Then I started using Addictive Drums as my drum production tool, and found myself more comfortable with its sounds, including the expansion packs.
2. Didn't like the key action of that particular model. Also, pitch bend and modulation are controlled via ribbons, something I was never able to conceive. Thank God they switched to wheels for the MK II;
3. A88 has that pitch/modulation joystick that I like, and the keybed is awesome. And instead of being so into Kontakt, I'm using HALion for more general purpose sound and I'm liking it a lot.
The Impact LX88+ would give all that plus I'd be able to sel my Launch Control XL, since I'd have lots of controls by using a single device.
Again, thanks for hitting me so quickly.
Peace,
Edu Camargo.
Edu Camargo interesting experience with NI. Thanks for sharing!
I have the LX25+ and the only thing I don't like about it is the key feel, kind of feel like it's a toy. Does anyone know, is the key-feel different between the 25 and the 49, 61, 88 on the LX+ models? I was considering the LX88+, but if the keys are the same as the LX25+ then I may opt for a different option like the GXP88+ or something else.
As far as I know, it is a semi weighted keyboard and if you are used to a weighted keyboard… the difference will be clear. Personally, I don’t think it’s a problem with my feel. I got used to it as I have played it for a while.
Hello. Can you tell me wich velocity curve do you use into keyscape to get the best keyboard touch with the LX88+ ?
Jean Philippe Poibeau hey... I didn’t touch anything concerning the velocity curve on both the keyboard and the software
This is gonna sound dumb but what happens to the values of those faders when you switch modes. For example if you have the volume at 40 in instrument mode if you click the mixing button does the master volume of the mix now sit at 40% since the physical location of the fader hasn’t moved
Hey yes it stays the same. When you change mode it doesn’t affect the volume values. When you change back, when you move the fader, it only affects when the value is reached. I hope you understand my explanation? 🤷🏾♂️
@@Prexsplay ah wicked, thank you all
Waww what a play u doing sir....
which vst instrument sir ???
Thanks. Keyscape and omnisphere from spectrasonics
@@Prexsplay Wowwww..... that really appreciating.....
but one thing is striking my mind which m very curious.....

I am using nuendo.... not at all able to use any buttons of lx88 recently bought brand new.....
the settings and links are not working at all....
recently added nuendo 10 into my system Sir
Ok. I will make a video about it soon. I will try to find out about Nuendo.
Hi there. I know this keyboard is not fully weighted but semi-weighted. How does it feel to play as a piano? And are you experiencing a sensitivity difference between the black and white keys. Some people have mentioned that this is an issue.
Thanks. Great vid btw
Wayne Sanders I am actually surprised by the feel. It really feels good in my opinion! If you are just a pianist, this is not the keyboard for you...but if you are a pianist and everything else, that is, a synth player, pad player, strings player, then this is a fantastic choice! It is somewhere in between. In my opinion a perfect description of semi- weighted! I actually enjoy it as a piano player. Ofcourse there’s a difference between this and weighted but I think you will enjoy it as a great addition to your studio. But beware it looks cheap because it is cheap 😂! But for what it can do... I feel the price is a giveaway!
I have not experienced anything differences btwn the black and the white keys as you can see in the video!
Thanks for your kind words!
PreXsPlaY! Ah mate, thank you so much for taking the time to write all of that. That’s so helpful. I think I’m going to go for this keyboard.
Thanks again mate.
Wayne Sanders sure u welcome 🙏🏿
Would you suggest this to a person who is preparing for grade 2 Piano and has a tight budget?
Hello... I wouldn’t suggest this for any level of piano lessons. Though it is possible to use but I would recommend a fully weighted keys. It is very crucial to your learning process. I think there are weighted keys on the budget too if you look around. Maybe you can find fairly used keyboards. In my opinion this is strictly studio equipment but ofcourse you can use it.
@@Prexsplay thank you, that was very helpful.
Wow. You play beautifully, but I was kind of hoping for a video covering more features. Just a humble, friendly suggestion is all.
Thanks for the kind words but the title is clear! I have had this controller for more than a year so I can do what you ask. Thanks.
@@Prexsplay The title IS clear, thus my suggestion. Breathe....relax.....no expresso maybe?? I know your response was directed to my "I was kind of hoping...…", but chill man. If you REALLY want to be picky about it, why include the unboxing if the "title is clear" and this is about how Spectrasonics Keyscape sounds on it???
William Clark I love you bro!
@@Prexsplay I know
Can Sustain pedal be connected along with expression pedal in it?
Yes only sustain pedal. No expression pedal.
hello, what is the name of the program you use for sound
Keyscape
forgot i came here to review the lx88+ .. sheeeesh.
Hahahaha... glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Nice
Yash Kummar thanks
Hello what speakers would you recommend for this and possibly a synth midi keyboard
Hey bro...it depends on your budget and what you prefer too. There are tons of manufacturers out there.
For me, I use Genelec products. I have grown to master how a good sound comes from their speakers. I feel that’s actually what you need. Whatever you use, make sure you know how a good mix sounds on your speaker. So I would. Recommend genelec and maybe Yamaha too. They have nice speakers. For synths, such a long list of products and manufacturers. I was using novation but I switched to Nektar because they have relatively cheaper and more resourceful products. Thanks for watching!
❤️
Thanks
Is there any velocity issues going on with these black and white keys?
MAHIYA • no... I have never experienced any problems with velocity differences with the black and white keys.
Thanks for watching!
Thats with the old lx88. Issue has gotten rid in the new lx88+.
Does it integrate well with Native instruments / Ableton Live? Smooth play by the way.
Yes it does. Thanks for the nice words!
Hi great playing!! I have a question bq i dont know it but is this piano better than the old komplete kontrol s88 or not bq i dont knoww i am searching for a piano for in my studio of 88 keys that can lay on my desks u have any recommandations??
Ok… good question! Well… I have not used that before so I can’t tell the difference. But this keyboard is good for the price range. It works with most daws out there.
@@Prexsplay oke thx man! But does dis pianokeys fee like a piano or a keyboard??
Uw… if you want to use it for Piano exclusively, then this is not, because it is semi weighted keys. But I use it in my studio because I have an acoustic upright piano in my home. It is a great tool for studio and very portable for travel! Super light for quick gigs. I hope this answers your questions.
I m interessed to this keyboard how it work after some months of playing? the keyboard is getting loosy? Some velocity problems? the velocity trasmission in midi tracks is linear? No fake values?
I need just a good midi controller ( i have a kawai piano for serious piano playing) for any kind of sounds. tanks!
Francesco Somma hello I would say if you use this keyboard for gig constantly, it will not stand the test... though it depends on the user. But I use it mainly in my studio. I have not experienced any of those challenges you mentioned. But bear in mind this is not a ROCK-SOLID keyboard that will last for ever. You get what you pay for. All the materials use for the keyboard are made with plastic. Thanks for watching
@@Prexsplay Thank u, i need just home studio midi controller , not for stage, live perfomance...that it s what i want i need.
I need stable drivers, stable electrical components...not tank case , shock proof faders.
I m really interessed to impact for studio one perfect integration.
If u has any suggestion for other controllers studio one frendly.
Thank you so much.

hey you play really good . i was looking up this keyboard does it have a good feel to it is the keys touch responsive? thank you for post your video
Bryce Carpenter yes I personally love the feel. It is not the best feel ever but I got used to it because I play it all the time. Yes the touch response is actually very good. There are also different settings to suit your playing styles. So I think for what it can offer, it is very cheap. Thanks for watching!
@@Prexsplay i found one on ebay if no one busy it before me lol it is used tho but all i can really afford atm i know they make other 88key controllers but idk what m-audio and the other i see a lot of starts with a A i cant recall what it was but im worried if i mess with them two it might be a bad mistake . done had one m-audio the chip went out it was the 61 key . have u ever used the m-audio 88 key? what would u get for mostly piano playing
Bryce Carpenter ok... hey I have never used maudio. My other midi keyboard was novation. So I don’t know how the maudio feels. But one thing is is u can adapt to any feel of the keyboard you have until you want something else. This keyboard is worth the penny if you want something decent. 🙏🏿

I have two questions and I really hope u can help me out! 🙏 1-Is the semi weighted keys cancel the piano keys feeling or I won’t really notice?! (I’m a beginner) 2-What’s the name of the piece you’re playing?! 😍
Hello the semi-weighted is not ideal if you want to learn piano! I would recommend buying a weighted key for piano practice.
The piece I am playing is just an improvisation! Thanks for watching!
Hello, I would like to know the name of the song that is playing in this video. Thank you
Micael Marto well... it is an original tune but an inspiration from a Spanish tv program I watched a long time ago! Basically I was improvising. Thanks for watching! 🙏🏿

Time for training no just been playing for a Long time. Thank u for your kind words. Cheers.
How did you install keyscape ?
Hello… when you buy it, it comes with installation instructions on how to install it.
hello , I have a question You download the software and you plug any Midi controller like Maudio and the sound is ready to play?Or do I need to do something else?
Yes you need a music production software that has instruments because the keyboard doesn’t have sound of its own. You need to plug it to a computer or an iPad that has music softwares then it works. That’s why It is called a midi controller.
@@Prexsplay yes I have Ableton or Garageband I just need to download the sounds into the software correct? This keyscapes us just sounds.
can you just plug power in and the MIDI cable or do you need additional hardware to plug into your computer?
Only usb to your computer. You don’t need additional hardware. Stay safe!
Hey! Can you plug it with usb to play or do you need to use an audio interface with midi?
Slifer * yes you need it a computer or an iPad!!
Can i play it using my amplifier instead sinceit doesnt have a build in speaker? At the moment, I do not have a computer/monitor at home..
It’s a midi keyboard, you either use it with a computer or iPad. It doesn’t have sound in it. Thanks for watching!
The pitch bend and modulation wheels seem to be in an unconventional position. Did you have any problems using them?
Well at first, it was awkward but I got used to it! It’s very workable when you use it often. Thanks for watching!
Hi there. Im planning on buying this, so i have a question. Have you noticed any lagging issue with keyscape? Is it really cpu intensive?
Koehnia no lagging issues! But yes abit cpu hungry like other spectrasonics softwares. And ofcourse there’s a lite version of the presets. Thanks for watching.
@@Prexsplay Thank you for taking the time to reply :) that helps.
@@Prexsplay Oh one more thing. Does keyscape need daw to run? Or omnisphere? Or standalone?
Koehnia no it has a stand-alone version too. But if you want to use it as a multi...u will definitely need omnisphere! Ofcourse they could have made it a multi but it’s a fair deal. 🤓
Is there any any pulgins we get ??
I am not quite sure I understand your question? Can you ask it in another way? Thanks
@@Prexsplay do we get any pulgins with it I means with the midi inbuilt
No it is just a hardware controller. It needs to be connected to a computer.
Does it have inbuilt speakers?
Jalandhar no it does not have!
Are The Keys Velocity Sensitive?
Sujoy Mukherjee Yes they are! 👍🏿
Does it work well with fl studio? And can you learn to play piano on it? 😅
Yes it works with Fl studio! It doesn’t have inbuilt sounds unless connected to your daw or your iPad. So you can only play it that way.
Prexsplay! But you can learn piano on it right?😅
Yes ofcourse
Are the keys weighted?
Sumanth Yegurla no!
Semi weighted?
Yes semi weighted
Is the key same with LX61+ or better? I am thinking sold my LX61+ and upgrade to this one.
Kage Chen it should be the same but not sure! Thanks for watching!
@Kage Chen
The LX61+ is synth action (un weighted)
The LX88+ is semi weighted keys, and by all the reviews I've seen, it is a far better "feeling" keyboard to play.
why isn't anyone saying anything about the pops in the audio feed. This always steals so much joy from playing keyscape live.
Vil Fortenfarthe yes bro most spectrasonics products are not very cpu friendly. I have not done some videos bcus of this same issue! Thanks for watching!
@@Prexsplay Not cpu friendly? May i know your pc spec for reference?
how are the keys? is he really good at playing piano tones?

Padur hey great that you want to learn the piano. This keyboard is a midi keyboard. It doesn’t have inbuilt sounds. U need a computer or an iPad with music programs to get sounds out of it. On its own it cannot produce any sounds like the clavinova. Thanks for watching.
Hey, Thanks for the answer. I know about midi, but in comparison with a clavinova the key fell is OK? Thanks.
Padur my bad... if you wanna learn piano, I will suggest you go with the Clavinova. It is a better choice if your main goal is piano lessons. This is more of a studio keyboard and maybe for mobility bcus of the lightweight.
How is the key feels doesn't it feel too cheap?

do you use audio interface
mhrcan yes I do. I use presonus audiobox. Thanks for watching!
Does this one have after touch?
Isaiah Ronquillo No! No aftertouch!
As PreXsPlay responded, no aftertouch. Years back, aftertouch was showing up on several keyboards. Due to the cost, it started NOT being added to most mainstream boards. Now it is rareish to find and will generally only be found on high end (costly) keyboards. Samson makes them in 25 and 61 key models (non weighted keys) at a really decent price, but no 88 key. You can use other devices to trigger the same effects as you would with aftertouch, but I must say it was (and is) a great and convenient feature. If you are looking for an 88 key with aftertouch, have some money saved up. This particular board is a definate value for the money. I have one because my other 88 note controller is a beast to carry and I now just use it for home studio.
Chuck Posey wow thanks for the detailed explanation. I love this keyboard.
whats the song is it your own music?
Yes... Just improvising.. Thanks for watching.
Is this good in 2021?
Yes it is! It is a very good keyboard for the price!
What is title of this song?
Improvising! Thanks for watching!
It’s beautiful :O
But this keyboard doesn't feel like a real piano. It doesn't have weighted keys just plastic synthy keys. Doesn't do justice for keyscape at all. You should have saved your money for a better one. Even the m audio hammer 88 is better and not much more.
I have had it for over a year now and I am happy with it. I don’t only do pianos alone so this is the best midi controller for me right now until I feel I need something more. Thanks for watching.
Love to hook up with you
Yash Kummar sure bro... 👍🏿
