A Stroll Through History: From Jaffa Gate to the Western Wall
🚶♂️ Today, I embarked on a remarkable journey through the heart of Jerusalem, starting at the iconic Jaffa Gate. As I made my way towards the Western Wall, the path led me through a mosaic of cultural and historical landmarks.
🏘️ First, the Armenian Quarter, with its rich heritage and tranquil atmosphere, offered a glimpse into the ancient community that has been part of the city for centuries.
🏰 Passing through Zion Gate, the stones seemed to whisper tales of the past, each echoing stories of the city's storied history.
🛤️ Nearing the journey's end, I walked through Dung Gate, feeling the anticipation build as I approached one THE holiest sites.
🕍 Finally, standing before the Western Wall, adjacent to the magnificent synagogue, I was enveloped in a profound sense of peace and reverence. Here, prayers touch the sky, and history resonates through the air.

I wanted so badly to visit Jerusalem, it was a lifelong dream of mine. We were supposed to fly to Israel on the 17th of October, just 10 days after the horrific attack. I thank God that we weren’t there when it happened but I cried for all the men, women and especially the children who lost their lives that day. Maybe one day I will be able to come to Israel and see the beautiful cities and the beautiful people there. 😢
Oh I feel your pain. I too was supposed to be there on the 17th. I couldn’t wait to touch the southern steps. I’m suppose to be going this sept. I hope I don’t get my hopes up. These videos will be awesome !

Yes, that day ia near. We can see the end time, things happening as per the scriptures. Jesu will gather his chosen people and will appear in cloud. But nobody knows the time, even the Son of God, only the Father in heaven.

It depends on where you are in America. Also, the Palestinian areas are not clean there. Many Jews would become incredibly sick to find out that they litter right onto temple mound. Jews and Christians however, are not allowed to pray on Temple mound or bring sculptures according to the Palestinians that control it and trash it.

Shalom, when I think of the Jaffa Gate I get the feeling that I'm really entering Jerusalem, it is a special feeling moreso than the other gates one can enter. The last few times I went to Yisrael and visited the Kotel I always went through this gate. Yisrael stays in my heart and I always long for Jerusalem no matter how many times I've visited the place. I have visited Jerusalem and seen the church of nativity in Bethlehem. Our trip started in Haifa, and we took a taxi to Jerusalem. This was in 1997 and it was a wonderful trip!

Christ was a minister of the circumcision, to confirm the promises made by the fathers. The literal Davidic kingdom on earth, was at hand. Unfortunately Israel had a bad habbit of persecuting and murdering their own prophets. They made no exception with the Lord Jesus Christ. The government didn't want the Prince of peace of Jerusalem! Scripturally speaking the peace of Jerusalem and Israel is described in the last ten chapters of Ezekiel. Zechariah chapters 13&14 describes it perfectly. Today pray for the salvation of Israel's government.

So amazed of the architecte there. Seems as if every stone has its own history, put them all together they speak of a great history. A few centuries over 200 yrs here, not sure if there are very man buildings that remain Do know of houses & other buildings at least 100 yrs old. I noticed some of the mens clothing. They reminded me of some styles of our Amish. Got to say it looks kind of scary with emergency vehicles not being able to get around on those streets. As God preserves his people, may He preserve their handy work.

I know some people might find it distasteful to take advantage, but why on earth I never booked us to have a holiday in Israel if the is some deals to be had is beyond me. We have always wanted to go and I would trust the IDF/security forces over there way beyond I would trust one of our London woke coppers to keep us safe. Empty beaches and no waiting in line to visit historical sites sounds perfect to me.

After the millennial Davidic kingdom on earth for a thousand years. The Great White throne judgment will take place, for all unsaved people. The earth and heaven will pass away. The New earth will have no seas. The New Jerusalem will sit approximately 15 miles above the new earth. You can read about it in Revelation chapters (21) and (22)

BTW, when you went inside the synagogue by the Western Wall...I had no idea that was even there. Thank you for taking us inside there, I know that must be a touchy area for a camera.
I am ex athiest. I used to mock christians and say it was all just a fairy tale to help people die in peace. Until i overdosed and stood before Jesus. His face is as bright as the sun. I couldnt see any details of his face but i could see his arms were held out like to hug me and they were a dark tan color, not white or black. Which makes sence remembering he was born in the middle east desert!! When he held out his arms the light got brighter and i felt so much love and peace and raw power that i cant even find the right words to describe them. Jesus is God in the flesh. God is a trinity. All power the father has Jesus also has. He has existed with the father since before the earths creation.
What strikes me is the chirping and singing birds ! 🦅
