@@debajitbhattacharjee2692 yes absolutely BCS these books clear basic concepts, it is the base of upsc preparation and also BCS in NCERTs you will find things in chronological order, and also it will give you a deep understanding of syllabus.

Going through the struggle in my preparation i always think someday I'll help the students after I clear the exam. SIR is such an inspiration, he try to eased the problem of students as possible as he could.
This is the most important aspect for clearing this exam .
Everybody read the same thing but how they read it & what they take out of it , makes all the difference.

I have just submitted my PhD thesis. I never received such teaching for how to read and take notes throughout my studies. If I were received such training earlier, I would have excelled in academics. Thanks a lot for these kind of programs which are really appreciable

@@rahulkapoor729 In the thesis mainly you are writing things in your own words. It consists of both things already written and published and new things. So when you write about existing things it is usually in your own words in a critical and comprehensive manner. It can take two forms - one to review existing literature and say this is the current state of knowledge or more like this is what we do and the second is to justify the decisions you make for instance why are you choosing one particular method of analysis over another - for this you can say that this study showed so and so and that's why I'm using it. While referring to others works they should all be cited. Your own new material will directly flow from the analysis that you do depending on the subject and topic. Regarding the second question, I'm not really sure. As far as my memory goes you now need a PhD for assistant professor I think. You can check UGC notification.

As a beginner, i think it's better to go for quality reading instead of quantity reading.
As an aspirant we should be more focused on reading and understanding the concept. I am from an engineering background ,the things that i'm studying now are completely off track from what i have been studying for the past 5 years of my life.
We as a human being tends to copy everything we see on the internet.
Keep this in mind if you try to study like him, you'll miss the opportunity of finding what you're capable of and missed out your potentials.
