Thank you so much for the video! Very straight forward! Don't know who would give dislike your video, probably someone who thought you would come through the phone and fix their car for them, or another mechanic that didn't like how well you made your video and is jealous. Haha! Thanks again!

You are welcome
I’ll get the catty converter, and get a muffy shop do it.. I’m recovering from hematoma injuries. I’m not a welder great job!
thanks
You bet! Hope it helps.
Got an 02 regal with 120k miles. same problem I put a new midpipe with cat. Got the code again. Graphs look good like yours.
That is frustrating! Sometimes a bad connector and sensor with an intermittent connection issue can cause the problem. Key on engine off, wiggle test all of your connections and wiring while watching the sensor tracing on the scanner. Hopefully you can nail down where the glitch is in the system. Good Luck!
@@Brandonlexx1 hey. It was the gas. I put premium with techron and no codes all I/M green
Question: What type of CAT did you put on there?
I have an 04 Century and it would be cheaper and easier for me to cut and weld rather than trying to undo the flanges.
I'm currently looking at Universal Federal Catalytic Converter 53104.
Thank you very much for the video. Are catalytic converters directional?
Some are, some are not. They will have an arrow stamped in them if they are.
I just have a question cuz don't totally understand how catalytic converters work but does that mean that the catalytic converter is plugged and it's back pressuring on the engine or does that just mean that the catalytic converter is not filtering exhaust properly so with it running the first way it's just putting more pollutants out of the exhaust pipe
This scenario is just insufficient catalyst. The material catches unburt fuel particles and holds them there while they burn, isn't doing it's job. Plugged cats is also a potential problem, but a different one.
Oh
Thanks for the video! I’m having the same code on my car. Where you located? I need to have this done to my 2003 Buick Lesbre.
Northern Utah. Love to help.
@@Brandonlexx1 thanks but I’m in another state. Got it taken care of though. Appreciate you getting back to me
Hey I'm right now trying to figure out this same problem with my Buick. I get this rotten egg smell from my exhaust would that be a sign of a bad cat. Plus I have no power under load.
If you have a P0420 code, I would start there. Sounds like plugged cats to me.
Is this the same for a 2005 Buick lesabre limited ? My husbands inspection failed because of the P0420 catalyst system efficiency below threshold (bank 1)
Thank you !
Most likely.
Do you remember the overall length of the cat and diameter of the pipe? I may need one
I don't, sorry. Been a minute.
Don't say give you some sugar when 90% is men watching these videos a simple like or thumbs up....ijs.
Lol noted.
Short term is -3 long is -7 how do I know if it's o2 or cat?
Those numbers are fine. It's a cat.
will this cause car to die or no start?
No. Just affects emissions.
Where did you get it from
Think O'Reilly.
