    1. Stabilize the hip muscle on the side of the injured knee 3:44-6:15
    2. Strength train the muscles attached to the knee(Hips,Thighs,Hamstrings,Calves)
    3. Do whole body control movement exercises 7:08-9:12, 10:10-10:25, 10:45(throw ball against wall and catch while slightly bending at knee)
*If it hurts or feels unstable you are probably doing too much too early

That gives me some hope. I hope this dang knee heals up fast (My god I read up to 4-6 months), so I go back to doing what I like during this covid time.

I’m a 13 year old very active soccer player. I play with the U15 girls team in my hometown.
When i was 12 i began having knee pains, and it turned out i have chondromalacia patella. But 2 months ago, i was at soccer practice, we played a game, and i was just about to score, and i fell. My patella dislocated, and i was gone for about 7 to 10 seconds.
I tore my LCL and meniscus and i’ll have to get surgery when i’m older.
I’ve been doing PT for almost 3 months.
My OS even told me “you’ll just have to live with the pain.” And i was so pissed.
I’ll have to live with pain killers, doctor visits every month, icepacks, pillows and sleepless nights bc i’m in so much pain. And i’m only 13?!
Aaand my teachers are always pissed bc i sometimes fall asleep in class:/

I’ve been dealing with a sprained right knee i sustained in a match back in February 4th. There’s no pain anymore. But when i bend my knee, then extend it slowly, i feel a pop. Not painful. It’s just annoying. Really really annoying. It must be a ligament. Also, when i bend my knee, i see a little swollen spot on the outside.
    However
It’s been improving. I put ice on it every day. I give it lots of rest. And i feel like it’ll be 100% before the start of april

Anthony Long your description seems very likely a tear of either one of your meniscus pads, your best option is to see your GP who will very likely recommend an MRI scan to find out exactly what the damage is and recommend further treatment. Torn meniscus pads can be put back together depending on the type of tear, but in your case it might also be an excess natural protective fluid from the sprain you suffered and the annoying symptoms your experiencing might go away with rest and rehab. Either way, its best to know from scans especially if your knee is locking and or making popping noises

In terms of general knee injuries-
The medial collateral ligament (MCL)- which the guy in the video had sprained is common in football. It tends to occur when there is contact on the lateral/outside of the knee that forces the medial/inside of the knee to go into something called valgus where the knee caves in. This causes the ligament to sprain.
The MOI (mechanism of injury) is very important as it tells you what injury it is likely to be then you can do a quick assessment to test your theory. in terms of signs and symptoms. There will be a sudden onset of pain on the inside of the knee. Swelling, heat and redness may occur with in the first 72 hours as well.

I fucked my knee last night. Decided to go for a walk with a 20k weight vest, in the dark, at the park. Slipped up on the mud on one knee, basically sitting on my ankle, with all that weight on top. Da fuk do I do now?

My knee made a pop noise and it was swollen for 2 weeks. Now every time I lean on it and move my knee inward I can feel my knee ready to pop again, but it doesn’t affect my walk whatsoever. I want to start dancing but I don’t wanna pop it again by putting too much weight.

Hey, what was you doing at the time of when your knee made a pop sound?
If you was doing a sort of twisting motion on your knee with it bent you may have tore your meniscus in your knee.
There are 2 menisci in each knee(medial and lateral). They act as shock absorbers for your knee when you do exercise such as walking, running, jumping and twisting. If you have injured your meniscus there is a good chance it wont heal as it doesnt have a very good blood supply.
Try doing some basic quads and hamstring strength exercises to build up the muscle around the knee. Also add in some balance work like in the video.
