Liam Howlett is a god among mortals... but even replicating what he did is hella impressive. Well done fella.
Jim Pavlov also did a kickass job with remaking Firestarter and Smack My Bitch Up. This is the best Poison remake I've ever heard, though. Look out, Jim.
This is sick. Well done!
Keep the old school prodigy remakes coming!!! great work
Top notch as always, love it!
Beautiful work 🙏🏻👌👏🔥
Skillz. Skillz off the chart!
WOW...!!! This is f****** awesome!!! Well done!
You are truly an inspiration
Teach me..😮 seriously amazing replication
Awesome!
Nice job. Very accurate
Any plans on doing the extended vinyl version?
Very good
Sylenth is still my go to soft-synth, has that sound that a lot of others are just missing and it’s so much nicer to use than poking about in a tiny mod matrix. Drift that was added ro Ableton recently is damn nice though, I don’t even bother with the “analogue” setting cos you can get to so many great sounds so quickly with just the two oscillators . The Access Virus emulator has that extra magic to the sound too but the software interface is a right pain in the arse and I’ve not yet tried the midi programmers to see if they’ll work, I don’t see why they wouldn’t though. Firefly arp turning up in Wild Frontier seems like Liam is maybe a fan of Sylenth too, maybe gets to where he’s aiming for without having to carry a Virus Ti everywhere or have a stack of the hardware piled up cos emulating just one of those dsp chips in software takes a fair bit of power. The emulator sometimes starts falling over in a similar way to Arturia older engine (which I think they fixed?), I could never use them without one hand on the mixer gain in case it suddenly detonated a sonic weapon in my face..

Bernard Purdie heavy soul slinger
Anywhere I can find the project file for it?
Good god, to break it down to that level is admirable 🎶🏆🥇
Hi Canyon Hill. I just finished a Diesel Power track, where I used your ''Blow Ya Mind'' rework, mixed with the original track and the Dirtchamber mix. Can I use it on my channel, or do you want to listen to it first, or do you want me not to post it at all? :)
What kind of sample where he screams uaaa??
Amazing! Hugely impressive, I'm looking for the project file but that link doesn't work how can I get it?
Drop me a message on Instagram
@@CanyonHill could you please reupload the project file??🙏 I don’t have Instagram.. (mega or Google drive maybe?) Outstanding job recreating this iconic track!! Can’t wait to dive into its nuances. Thank you!
@@mikhailbelov9968 If you’re from Russia, you can contact me on VK.
Can you send me the midis and the samples pls?
Same comment like under the break & enter remake video. 😉😀
How did you re create the eml wobbler?
I rendered several identical sawtooth waveforms, layered them on top of each other with slightly different volume levels and phase offsets, rendered the result and put it into the sampler. Got to be a bit creative while playing around with this one.
@@CanyonHill Thanks! Also good work with those all souvenirs guys
@@CanyonHill Oh interesting, yea I just tried this and it totally works. I had to duplicate 3 instances of Serum each that had 2 saw oscillators at different phase positions, making 6 in total. Using FM on a saw wave does produce a similar result, but it's a bit less rich and more tinny/clean sounding. Seeing as this sound was made with a JD-990 I'm curious how he did it, since there is definitely no way to change the phase of oscillators on that synth--perhaps there is a pcm wave that already sounds like this one.
Okay so I used the Roland Cloud XV-5080 which has all the original waveforms from the JD-990 and is essentially the same architecture. Liam uses the "Wave Scan" which is wave #517 on the XV-5080. Slap a resonant low pass filter on there and use a mod wheel to wobble it and that's it.
@@MasterpieceTheatreDM PLEASE HELP ME !! Anyone can explain to me how to do it? I have Roland XV-5080 vst installed from roland cloud. I can see "Wave Scan" wave #517 but I don't know how to do it again the same. It would take a kind of video explaining the procedure because it is too complex for me. In anyway the original sound income from a (roland jd-990 super jd) and expansion card installed (roland sr-jv80-04), patch/preset n. 208 eml wobbler. If anyone could help me also with others method like SERUM , i would be very grateful i really need to reproduce original sound. PLEASE HELP ME !!! Thanks much in advance.
real close obviously, but this one requires that final touch, I would say
