The "unknown" sample at 15:23 is a recording of a Nord Lead synth being played by Johnny Violent of Ultraviolence. The most popular version of this sample floating around the internet was published on a sample CD called "Unique Sounds: Sonic Elements From The Stars" by Future Music magazine. I still have a proper wav recording of it somewhere on my hdd.

OK: @15:45 Distorted Reality is one of the most consistently used sample CDs of all time. Here's some corrections. #1: The company who made it is SPECTRASONICS--they are still making some of the best softsynths around to this day. Some of the sounds from the CD are part of the Omnisphere synth. #2: Released in 1995, with sound design by Eric Persing and Ryland Allison. That's right, this sample CD will be 24 this year and still available @time of writing. #3: The track is technically called "Voices - Disturbed" on the sample CD--it's not a single sound there. It was bunched together with 3 other samples.
Bonus Round: You a fan of TV/Movies like Invader Zim, Samurai Jack, the Fifth Element, or videogames from Spyro to Starcraft? Listen to the demo for Distorted Reality (Spectrasonics or Ilio website; legacy products) and prepare to have your mind blown realizing so many familiar sounds all came from one place.
