The subject of a professional, ground-up build that was completed by Mount Ulla, North Carolina’s CWC Custom Fabrication, this '56 is definitely built for keeps! Pop the hood and you’ll find 6.2 liters of divine GM small block. Officially known as the Chevrolet Performance LS376/480, that trusty engine twists a respectable 10.7 to 1 compression into 495 horsepower and 473 lb./ft. of pavement-slaying torque. That spry small block spins a proven 4L70E 4-speed. That modern drivetrain hangs in a fully boxed Street Rod Garage chassis. Those powder-coated bones are led by a fully adjustable Street Rod Garage Force independent front-clip. Opposite that clip, a fully adjustable Street Rod Garage Force 4-link secures a 9-inch pumpkin around a Truetrac differential and 31-spline axles. That curve-carving suspension is stopped by hydroboosted Wilwood discs. Turns come courtesy of power rack-and-pinion steering. And everything rolls on chromed American Racing Torq Thrust Ms, which spin Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs. Pop the doors and you’ll find a choice custom interior that was installed by Leon Brown’s Custom Auto Upholstery of Concord, North Carolina. Modern bucket seats wear high quality leather that’s both plush and supportive. A body-matched dash wraps striking carbon fiber accents around Dakota Digital VHX telemetry and controls for Vintage Air conditioning. A custom console centers a muted Lokar shifter behind modern pioneer audio that’s complete with GPS and a backup camera. Nice, surprised more care not taken to avoid scuffing on chrome and stainless.. my poor man's 69 impala custom doesn't have any of it since I did a somewhat restoration back in 2000 and I drive mine every weekend.
