People here, I realized, don't understand why KBBQ is called a bbq in the first place. Starting with Bulgogi and Galbi, they are the grand daddy of all Korean bbqs, dating back as far as the Goryeo period. These are usually grilled and also smoked as well. They have specially made coals 숮불from pine trees that they would use to enhance the flavor hence the name Bul-Gogi (Fire Meat). So the traditional methods are still done today but only in specialty places in Korea and they're expensive. But most people don't have the money to buy it frequently nor do they want to deal with coals. Hence the modern kbbq today doesn't use coals. It's cheaper, faster, and more convenient to use the new version than the traditional methods. And you can do more things with the bbq such as making fried rice and etc. Aside from the brief history above, I love both of them for what they are. Neither greater than the other. Kbbq can make you eat for longer periods of time+ variety of meats + socialization aspect. American bbq................just punches you with the flavor profile of the meat with the classic cuts, very savory. But gets heavy real quick.

Nothings better than southern barbecue
Destinnes shirt is so low that the only thing lower is my self confidence
I love Korean food... Look at good 😊👍🏻👍🏻❤️
