I have been watching the BBC coverage of this year's Chelsea Flower Show but I was also really looking forward to your take of it and to see what stood out for you. I have been fascinated by the great variety of irises that I've seen featuring in most of the gardens. Is this something that happens every year or is it this year's trend? Thank you for sharing your visit and I look forward to your next episode.
Thank you so much! There do seem to be more irises, especially the bearded varieties with romantic pink-ish tones, perhaps influenced by last year‘s outstanding ‘Nurture Landscapes Garden’ by Sarah Price. For many gardens, I wasn’t able to find the exact cultivars in the designer's plant list but I’ve enjoyed scrolling through images of many gorgeous irises online trying to identify the Chelsea beauties!
@@ApplePeaFernSea Thank you. Many people still refer to Sarah Price's garden from last year and I can understand why. It must have been simply stunning to see it in real life. Thanks again!!

In the Terrence Higgins Trust Garden, what are the very tall scarlet poppies growing among the foxgloves and irises and grasses?
According to the plant list, this stunning poppy is Papaver ‘Marlene’.
