It was so much fun dining there.
My first job in Chicago 1980 found me taking a lunch order for clients. When they realized I had no idea who Jerry was, they set me up with an order for a half dozen sandwiches that never existed.
Boy, did Jerry have fun with me.
Now, downtown Chicago is all chain food. You could walk across the Loop in the 70/80's and smell the different delis preparing for the day. Grilling onions here, corned beef, polish, kraut over there. Now all you smell is deep fryer grease.
RIP Jerry. And Moe.
OMG I am planning to go in January of next year and I can't wait to see all this.

Long gone. Jerry passed away years ago. Was called Mary's last I knew but I think the buildin was torn down for a new hospital recently.
What an awesome fuckin' place. Gotta love eateries with gimmicks.
I don't think that was a gimmick. I think that Jerry was a character and this film documents Jerry being Jerry.
Sorry. Long gone. Manny's is the closest thing you will find to a real deli close to the Loop.
Best corned beef in Chicago.
this place still open? This guy, Jerry, is he still there?
