This is the review I was hoping to see all week!! No matter how much nitpick people is moaning about the typical colors of green steggy with orange plates, I just love this coloration for the stegosaurus, it suits very well. I just bought mine!!

This figure looks amazing it kind of reminds me of the stegosaurus seen in Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom .

The coloration really reminds me of the coloration of the one in the original 1999 BBC Walking With Dinosaurs documentary (narrated by Sir Kenneth Branagh).

I had know idea it was so small! Thought it would be the size of the PNSO chungkingosaurus.

I'm guessing its based on the Sophie specimen which is only about 7m long
If only it was a bigger size. Oh well the Yangchuanosaurus and Giganotosaurus are guaranteed pickups for me.

I always thought Stegosaurus was Apex Herbivore,when taking on Large,and medium-sized Apex predator;like Allosaurus,and Torvosaurus or Saurophaganax.
I'm kinda questioning on why is the Stegosaurus' tail drooping... but I sure am surprised on how small this Stegosaurus is. I was expecting it to be 1:35 scale.. I'm now hoping for PNSO to make a Spinosaurus and Giganotosaurus at this scale XD
This is a really great looking figure especially colors which are amazing and generally speaking the sculpt is pretty nice. HOWEVER, I think Doug Watson and Safari absolutely spoiled me with that "Sophie" Stegosaurus and I'm probably going to unfairly judge any Stegosaurus figure that's going for accuracy because of it. The skull looks just a little too elongated to me anyway and I'm not a huge fan of the classic back arch and angle of the tail but that's just me. Combine all that with it literally taking me a month to get in their similarly sized Ankylosaurus (which I do love, is there a review coming? *nudge nudge*) and I think I'll pass on this guy. I totally understand why many will prefer this one for the classic Stegosaurus look but I'll stick with "Sophie" as my main one in my collection. I do hope PNSO continues with this "mid-range" line, it helps our wallets out, haha. Thanks for giving us a great look at it Andy.
Yeah, although Safaris is currently more accurate, I'm partial to this styled sculpt. I've always loved it so much ever since this really cool animated dinosaur footage I had seen many years ago. I've been just stuck on this style and you mix that with the colors being my favorite on a stegosaurus and I'm sucked straight in, haha! There is definitely an ankylosaurus review coming soon, btw, as that figure is AMAZING as well! Also, after speaking with PNSO, I believe the reason your ankylosaurus took a good bit of time to come in is because they were really overwhelmed with orders of all the different models they've released recently so it was just an overflow of work for them I believe. Which is understandable in my opinion, but j can completely understand your frustration.
@@andysdinosaurreviews Dino Scream Reviews and I were actually hypothesizing that it might have to do with all the political BS and trade tariffs with China 😆 but your explanation makes more sense. When I ordered it, it was estimating a month so I wasn't really frustrated per se or surprised, just kind of thrown off by the estimation I guess because my orders from them in the past, even the non Amazon Prime shipped ones, generally only took a couple of weeks. Looking forward to your Ankylosaurus review!
@@andysdinosaurreviews Oh also, I wonder if this is the stegosaur animation you are thinking of because when you said that, this is what I thought of and I think we're generally around the same age. These animations blew me away back then as a kid too.

I think it looks VERY close. The figure on the package is the prototype and factory painted figures pretty much never look like the prototype exactly. It's the same for every company.

I will be reviewing the ankylosaurus very soon! As far as being accurate, I think it's just based off of an older reconstruction. But to be fair, what's accurate today, may not be accurate tomorrow. Just look at the spinosaurus.

Another expensive figure with a bad painting. And judging by the seams, the casting is also bad. What is happening with PNSO partners, Amarga painted terribly but at least casting quality is good. Diorama with Yangchuanosaurus & Chungkingosaurus, Ankylosaurus is top quality market ever. PNSO wat a fuk??!!!
The paint is lazy, sloppy and nothing like the promotional pictures. Plus the seems across it are atrocious, definitely will be skipping this one.
