The best thing for me is to get a clear understanding (up front) on what the customer wants. Because my “one time” cuts I charge more than I would for a weekly/biweekly service. So when they say they just want one cut and I give them the price it usually weeds out the people who are dishonest or struggling because they won’t want to pay that premium. And usually the people that say they want one cut and pay the premium end up going on a regular schedule after they see the job that I do. That works for me. And first couple of cuts always have to be paid up front
Always know what the clients wants up front and first service is always pay up front!! I only deal with people that pay never had Credit card on file, don't work in my area!
I used yardbook to do my invoice on and receive my payment they got a setup where they can pay with a credit card or I can charge the payment myself. If they don't pay I can send it to collection and credit bureau.
I understand about having to have that right feeling about a yard. I am a lot more pickier on my lawns now, all about the people, access, level yard and if they get their yard sprayed. I work too and understand completely.
For me I'm just trying to stay busy in my latter years and enjoy the mow. I'm not going to bring on customers or yards that doesn't work for me. By having an agreement and pricing accordingly I believe those things will help me achieve my goals.
How about those ones always calling you to cleaned out there flowers beds and trim their hedges . When you ask them who do their lawn and they tell you we have someone that piss me off
It's like they can't tell you exactly what they want, so they figure they need to trick you in to doing. Knowing that you most likely charge more for a one time service.
That's why contracts are important.
Yes, you really need to have something on paper.
Some people are never satisfied 💯
That's it Richard drop them headaches man they always come with one story but really have another agenda ✔️💯👍🏽
They really gets under my skin people who are not straight forward. 😒
