Nunya younger kids are ever going to know what true romance feels like, not being able to treat your date at a table with the red candles, sipping on a coke in a clear plastic textured glass, with Total Eclipse of the Heart playing in the background.
Getting a bill for $780 for just walking into the UPMC clinic was hilarious!! The ending was great!! The way Dad was just wandering and the "Lonely Man" theme from the Incredible Hulk TV series playing was perfect!! Felt like I was watching the Hulk again LOL.
Grant McCollum it was hilarious. Although (and as much as he keeps the major curse words out the show); in the field he should have dropped a F bomb but had them bleep it out. Haha
I have to come back and watch this again every few years. It's classic and works for us folks here in the South, too. Great use of "The Lonely Man" at the end!
Remember eating there lgs and aw after a steelers night game was either the chargers or packers but we won.... 🙏 for Ben and the team super bowl go out on a good note....
One of my favorite episodes, so funny and so true. I had similar experiences looking for certain restaurants around Pittsburgh, one of them was turned into a bank, another former burger place turned into a pizza place. And others totally vacant. Love this.
My gosh, this was awesome! Took me back to a time I’ve not thought of in a while. Thanks for giving me the chance to “be there” with you. I’m so far away these days. You can take the girl out da Burgh, but never da Burgh out the girl❤️
Classic ending! I remember when Pizza Hut had that clock that spun really fast. Specifically the one that was in Wyomissing. Closed when a sink hole opened up next to it. The one on 5th street in reading, pa has “we are open” on the sign. Lol
I love your content I love that you don’t just try to stretch it out to the 10 minute mark and your content actually is entertainment and makes me laugh so thanks
You deserve 1 million subscribers! My moms side of the family grew up in Pittsburgh and Butler Pennsylvania. Your videos mean a lot to me and it reminds me of my family. I’m a huge Steelers fan so keep up the Steelers vids!
Had my orientation, for my very first job, at that UPMC Pizza Hut. The Pizza Hut I actually worked at on Buttermilk Hollow Rd. is gone as well; it became a used car dealership.
Pondarosa! Loved it! The first pizza hut location was by my grandfather's house. Fond memories of walking there as a kid. And that long John silver's was a block away. This is by Kennywood on 885. Man I miss those days! Pittsburgh dad is the best. Now that i live in north carolina i make sure to tune into every episode for the nostalgia. Its always fun trying to explain the cultural references to my friends. The jean shorts he's wearing! Classic dad! Thanks for another great episode guys! Keep it up!
Just finished watchin' this for the 42 1/2 time. The 1/2 time was when my wife made me stop watchin' it and had me go dawn street to get her some Lil' Ceaser's. She ain't from Pittsburgh. Love you guys!!! And greetings from Los Angeles.
My family said this was about me, and I have to admit it's the story of my life. I've gone out searching for the Holy Grail of Long John Silver's and found two that were closed. Curt, you nailed this one.
We have one in Duncansville PA, right dahn Route 22. Not quite the old style inside, but pretty close, and still the old building look outside! C’mon down, my treat! Loved this episode (just like I love ‘em all)!
Around :24, there appears to be an old Red Barn in the background. I'm not a 'Burgher so I'm not sure if you folks had 'em there, but here in Cleveland, we had 'em all over the place - and I STILL miss them.
My favorite Pizza Hut memory was back in 1988 when I was deployed to the Persian Gulf in the Navy escorting tankers to and from Kuwait. We pulled into Bahrain for a few days and me and some buddies took a taxi into the capital. We were wandering around the city feeling totally out of place when we rounded a corner and there it was, a Pizza Hut. We went in and it was EXACTLY like any Pizza Hut in the states. As a homesick 18 year old kid halfway around the world from home it really did a lot for my moral.
Oh .. my god! This was hilarious! Everything from the fact we lost our closest one (now don't have at all in our town OR the next one over) ... plus he passed one (epic!) ... then the sad going home song at the end after no Ponderosa (don't think we missed that sad Hulk theme there Curt)! TOP FIVE PD's FOR ME RIGHT HERE!
There is still one great Pizza Hut in Greentree...they still use the original pans and it is still the best....it was a wonderful discovery....You can still eat in as well...🎉
man we hung out at the old pizza hut in south park like every weekend in high school, plus anyone remember the Long John Silvers on west liberty avenue in dormont. think its the mazda dealership now, plus the ponderosa on 51 by the mall or the one by kennywood
Come to Uniontown; we've got two Long John Silver's, a sit-down Pizza Hut (but in a plaza), a Pizza Hut Express, but no Ponderosa- that's a mattress place now. 😂😂😂
You need to come out and visit our Pizza Hut in Duncansville, PA. It's still straight out of the 80's. I think it even still has the daily pizza buffet at the salad bar.
I think there’s still a restaurant style sit down Pizza Hut in Pleasant Hills on route 51...right by the empty toys r us store and century three mall. Hills would have been just up the hill. Many of the good nostalgic family places are gone.
There’s a long johns in penn hills and a sit down Pizza Hut in penn hills, which is also where the ex-Pizza Hut turned video gambling place features in this video is located.
This is my town, Irwin. Ljs closing broke my heart, but we still got a hut! Yinz can stop anytime...unless you're a ravens and/or pats fan, dem friggin jags can have a sunoco burger n drink from the spicket, for just $2.99! The Tom special
XD I love that you guys were up n down route 88 that’s not far from where i grew up! My dad and i were just driving through there on Sunday to go to Cool Springs! hilarious as always, keep it up guys! ❤️
Turns to yell at kids.
Drives past Pizza Hut.
Priceless.
69th like
I've watched this at least 3 times and finally caught that part.
Lmfao the camera points right at it omg I never noticed that's so funny!
first time watching this one and I saw that and cracked up.. the heck with it I am going to long john sliver LOL
The Pizza Hut in Irwin! Represent!
"I want the picnic tablecloth, and the red cups, and the dim lighting" Oh man, you just sent me right back to my childhood...
Only forgot the Ms. Pac-Man table.
After every home football game it was off to Pizza Hut in the early 80's!!
One Pizza Hut in Columbus had the 28-minute version of Dazed and Confused on the juke box. The faces of the other customers ....
I can literally smell this video.
Cameraman/"Deb" looking at the pizza Hut was priceless....
David Rae I think York pa has 2
The "cameraman" is Deb.
You need to go to the Pleasant Hills Middle School and you'll see the worlds largest Pizza Hut!!!!
*camerawoman
Navigating by stuff that hasn't been there in 10 years is the most Pittsburgh thing I can imagine. A++
General Incredible oh I do that all the time!
It’s down by that old Chi Chi’s
Or around the corner where the old Hills used to be
Classic!
Most definitely....super accurate 😂🤷♂️
@@patricknedz hills....I miss hills and kmart and toys R us...lol.
Yeah... it's right down by Children's Palace... ;-)
Happens all over the country, but no mistake in that iconic roof of an old Pizza Hut.
"Let's just go to Ponderosa"
Best ... ending ... EVER!!!!
Thanks for the trip down memory lane....
John Fox There is still one in Butler lol.
lol Gotta love the banner walk off at the end. hahahaha
Long johns is only is business bc of lint...
Darren Rice pack your bags your going to Tampa Bay
I live in chippewa. There is a Ponderosa and Pizza Hut right across the street from each other. Haha
I love how he rushed past it while yelling at his kids 😂
Realistic
He drove past a pizza hut at 3:21
Nunya younger kids are ever going to know what true romance feels like, not being able to treat your date at a table with the red candles, sipping on a coke in a clear plastic textured glass, with Total Eclipse of the Heart playing in the background.
My first date ever was at our local Pizza Hut, 34 years later, it is still here. 2 personal pans please!
T Bury Well get 'm to go n bury 'm in a time capsule cause the clocks ticking!!! Glad yinz can still enjoy the nose-stalljer n nat tho.... fer now!
Hopefully my kids still can. That's the Irwin pizza hut that he accidentally misses. My home town hut, still kicking I think...
Once upon a time I was falling in love. Now I'm only falling apart. And there's nothing I can do. A total eclipse of the heart.
Getting a bill for $780 for just walking into the UPMC clinic was hilarious!!
The ending was great!! The way Dad was just wandering and the "Lonely Man" theme from the Incredible Hulk TV series playing was perfect!! Felt like I was watching the Hulk again LOL.
Good call on the music :)
Grant McCollum "Hulk sad... No get pizza with oddly greasy crust, or cheap cut of steak cooked with pineapple juice."
pancudowny LOL!!!
Grant McCollum it was hilarious. Although (and as much as he keeps the major curse words out the show); in the field he should have dropped a F bomb but had them bleep it out. Haha
Grant McCollum it’s funny cause it’s so believable 😂
Oh my god I love these. I’m new to Pittsburgh and these are more educational than the books in the Pittsburgh section at the library haha
I have to come back and watch this again every few years. It's classic and works for us folks here in the South, too. Great use of "The Lonely Man" at the end!
"UPMC owns everything this town, now they're making pizza...have to get a referral from Taco Bell..."
“Chose It as your life depended on it”
Not only is this funny, it's accurate in a way as Pizza Hut and Taco Bell (not to mention KFC) are owned by the same company.
UPMC is coming east now...
Ya know whose fault this is...A and dubya. Long John Silvers was doin just fine, then they let them jags move in
Our A and dubya is now a ghost tyne too.
Mine closed on route 60 a few years back. The building is still for sale.
Remember eating there lgs and aw after a steelers night game was either the chargers or packers but we won.... 🙏 for Ben and the team super bowl go out on a good note....
Loved this one! 😂🤣 had me laughing the whole time because it’s all sooo true!
One of my favorite episodes, so funny and so true. I had similar experiences looking for certain restaurants around Pittsburgh, one of them was turned into a bank, another former burger place turned into a pizza place. And others totally vacant.
Love this.
Drive to Johnstown! We still have an old fashioned Pizza Hut with a buffet at lunchtime!
I grew up in Washington PA. I live in Montana now. Pittsburgh dad brings back so many memories. I love it!!!!!
My gosh, this was awesome! Took me back to a time I’ve not thought of in a while. Thanks for giving me the chance to “be there” with you. I’m so far away these days. You can take the girl out da Burgh, but never da Burgh out the girl❤️
Misstakenidenity Right!
Classic ending!
I remember when Pizza Hut had that clock that spun really fast. Specifically the one that was in Wyomissing. Closed when a sink hole opened up next to it. The one on 5th street in reading, pa has “we are open” on the sign. Lol
Some of your best work, thank you.
“All I did was walk in there and ask for pizza and they gave me a $780 bill” 😂😂😂
Im crying tears of literal laughter and joy. the accuracy of all of this hurts so much
I love your content I love that you don’t just try to stretch it out to the 10 minute mark and your content actually is entertainment and makes me laugh so thanks
You deserve 1 million subscribers! My moms side of the family grew up in Pittsburgh and Butler Pennsylvania. Your videos mean a lot to me and it reminds me of my family. I’m a huge Steelers fan so keep up the Steelers vids!
This was so good! A special place exists in my heart for all three of these fine restaurants. Missing them Pondo Wing Dings right now.
You know what’s next right? Ticks. Runnin’ around lookin’ for that Ponderosas in the weeds.
MissKacie 😂😂😂
God I love this channel. Brings me back to being a kid. Now I have kids of my own and I’m taking tips and quotes from Pittsburgh dad! They work.
Had my orientation, for my very first job, at that UPMC Pizza Hut. The Pizza Hut I actually worked at on Buttermilk Hollow Rd. is gone as well; it became a used car dealership.
Xander Drax10 Where is the UPMC Pizza Hut located?
Sam Treber On Rte. 837 just south of Kennywood.
I forgot about krispies!! Thx PGH Dad for the memories!
First Rax, then Pizza Hut, then LJS, then the Ponderosa. You know what's next? Eat 'N Park.
tpsu129 BITE YOUR TONGUE
Nooooooo!
I say Kings before Eat N Park !
Never! How dare you
tpsu129 what about Winky’s Home of the Big Wink. It was the first to go
This is, hands down the best episode yet. Great job guys.
When he is wandering around aimlessly in the fields looking for a Pizza Hut, I laughed so hard!!
The "Lonely Man Theme" at the end was great. I loved the Incredible Hulk as a kid.
I've seen a lot of Pittsburgh Dad episodes but this one about tops them all. It was pretty hilarious.
Fantastic episode great writting love the obscure reference to Ponderosa it brings back such great fond childhood memories.Great acting as usual.
So unbelievably funny. Knew exactly where you were driving around the whole time. This video is so true though. Lol 😂
Pondarosa! Chris and Curt, this is one of the funniest I've seen in a long time! Nice job!
Just finished watchin' this for the 42 1/2 time. The 1/2 time was when my wife made me stop watchin' it and had me go dawn street to get her some Lil' Ceaser's. She ain't from Pittsburgh. Love you guys!!! And greetings from Los Angeles.

We have one in Duncansville PA, right dahn Route 22. Not quite the old style inside, but pretty close, and still the old building look outside! C’mon down, my treat! Loved this episode (just like I love ‘em all)!
His meltdowns are priceless 😂😂😂🤣🤣
One of the best episodes yet!
This is one of my new favorite episodes.
“You can’t hide a Pizza Hut, nahh, not from me!” 😂😂😂😂 a Sebulba cup in the parking lot 😂
This may be THE BEST of them all.
Well done PGH Dad and crew
This was the best Pittsburgh Dad I've watched in awhile. I laughed so hard! Every location was classic! Hard belly laughs with this video!! 😂😂🤣🤣
Around :24, there appears to be an old Red Barn in the background. I'm not a 'Burgher so I'm not sure if you folks had 'em there, but here in Cleveland, we had 'em all over the place - and I STILL miss them.
This may be your best one yet guys. Up there with the Back to the Future epic. Well done!
Animaltronics
I'm couldn't stop laughing when he said the Long John Silver's just vanished 🤣 5:36
It is 5 years later and I can confirm that the Pizza Hut they drive past is still there. Weird wall paintings and all.
His hunt for a Long John Silvers at the end echoes what our state has went through where they have closed nearly every location with no warning lol.
HE DROVE ON MY STREET! (the one with the YMCA sign)
3:09
Joshawott 21506 Nice 👍🏽
He drove on your potholes?
There are so many! But yes
Joshawott 21506 Explain Aces to me... please.
Passing by the old steel mills
I live in Milwaukee WI and once again, yinz have echoed my thoughts. Keep up the awesome work!
Pittsburgh dad this is all so true a lot of the good restaurants have closed but you make it so much funnier than it is😂❤😂❤😂❤
There's a ton of places in the burgh that "out pizza" The Hut.
Awesome, 3 of my favorite places to eat growing up. Still a Ponderosa in Butler if you need your Grand Buffet fix!
Amazing episode, one of, if not THE absolute BEST!
Loved seeing the Primanti's in North Versailles, used to go there all the time!
UPMC Owns everything. Facts
They own those gateway rehab places and the stat medevac helicopter company
They own the US Steel building.
Best one perhaps of all time. Well done.
Latrobe still has a stand-alone long john silver's and pizza hut.
Sadly the Latrobe Pizza Hut is now closed. I seen it when I was drivin' dahn 30.
Best video yet. So true across the board.
This is one of the best videos so far! Thanks yinz guys
Loved this, Dad!! Excellent part with the "one" Pizza Hut you passed up!
Dad really put some miles on that car.... Driving through the tunnels down to Kennywood... out to Irwin. Hard core on PIzza Hut Day...
I can't wait to watch the Steelers with dad every week and see his reactions #goingforseven
This was the best episode I've ever watched also can yinz do one where he is at the airport ? Thanks
One of the best one's to date, Pittsburgh Dad. I miss Ponderosa for real though! 😓
Oh .. my god! This was hilarious! Everything from the fact we lost our closest one (now don't have at all in our town OR the next one over) ... plus he passed one (epic!) ... then the sad going home song at the end after no Ponderosa (don't think we missed that sad Hulk theme there Curt)! TOP FIVE PD's FOR ME RIGHT HERE!
love "The Incredible Dad" ending.
😂😂😂
There's a Long John's AND a sit-down Pizza Hut both on Rt 50 in Scott Township and Bridgeville, respectively. :3
The Pizza Hut they pass is the one on Rt. 30 in Irwin with the fading mural. We have been there any times. Its not the same, but it exists.
This is so beautiful. How true.
5:36 I work at that Walmart... the GameStop used to be a long john slivers??
Loved the Sebulba cup!
Studio Siege Machine You’re part of the 2% that will get that joke :)
I love the obscure humor! Quite the pod racer was he.
Alfa Romeo 4c at 5:50. Seeing one of those in the 'burg is as rare as seeing a Long Johns.
There is a dine in Pizza Hut in Monroe NC. I saw it and instantly thought of this video. Just Awesome.
We still got one all the way up in zelienople. Hasn’t changed in as long as I can remember. Still has the stuffed animal claw game and Ms. Pac-Man
Nope, not another Long John Silvers in Irwin, just an NTB Tire.
There’s a long johns in penn hills and a sit down Pizza Hut in penn hills, which is also where the ex-Pizza Hut turned video gambling place features in this video is located.
I just found this channel again I used to watch these with my mum for hours
Best line: "What does a Pizza Hut doctor know about it?"
Around where I live, there is a Pizza Hut, Long John Silvers, and Ponderosa literally on the same street and within a mile of each other.
There still a Pizza Hut in White Oak. At least there was this afternoon!
The Hulk theme at the end was a nice touch! Love Pittsburgh Dad
it was awesome seeing you turn up at the graduation at hempfield area high school this year, top stuff, man.
Man I miss home....great stuff here!
Aww yeah, there it is. The greatest treasure of Irwin: The Pizza Hut mural. So long as no one paints over that, the 90's is still alive.
Come to central PA we have pizza hut LJS and formerly a ponderosa all within a mile of each other. Plus eat n park
Latrobe has an old school Long Johns no A & W. Also theres a sit in pizza hut out that way too! Nostalgia...
We still got one out in Lower Burrell!
