  • Rambo has a long line of awesome E-bikes for the avid outdoorsmen. The Roamer is no exception, especially for hardcore hunters who want to get deeper into the woods. Luke goes over most of the features of the Rambo Roamer after using it in the punishing Rockies of Colorado.

"I suggest doing your research." Good advice and thank you for it. So I DID my research and found E-CELLS Super Monarch Crown. 2 wheel drive, 2 batteries (Samsung), 10 speed Shimano Deore gears, Rok Shoks in the Dual suspension, 2.3 mm thick brake rotors (not 1.2 mm), double wall wheels, 6061 T6 aluminum frame, Bafang 52 volt 750 watt hub motors, torque sensing pedal assist with 9 (NINE) assist levels, many extras like helmet, tool kit, portable compact electric air pump, etc. ALL FOR $5,100. ! Since I live in Henderson, NV against the southern border of Las Vegas it's nice that the company headquarters are only 60 miles north of 'Vegas in Pahrump. Nicer still is the great customer service.

Thank you! Yeah, yeah if you climbing a lot of steeper hills I would suggest going no lower than a 9 speed. I love this one but I need to upgrade to a higher geared one.

Great Review. I was wondering if you tested its ability handle heavy loads while traveling downhill? Whether it is hauling with a pull cart or on your person. Also, curious how the hydraulic breaks would perform in same scenario. Hope this question makes sense.
    cheers

The biggest load I had on it so far was me (170 lbs) with my big pack on carrying a 5 days supply of food, gear, and hunting supplies (about 55lbs). It preformed good but it was a pretty rough ride since it’s a hardtail. I do want to try a single wheel trailer eventually for it. The brakes were really good! I went down some pretty steep stuff and even with all the weight on it the brakes held me back just fine. I do wish I had more gears though because this thing doesn’t preform that well on steep grades going up with all the weight. This is good for small hills. Hope that helps!

Great review. On the mid drive, can you use throttle only, for extended periods? I understand peddling is easy & increases the range, but is using the throttle only "not" recommended?

You can definitely use just the throttle, no problem. You do have to at least have the bike in the 1st level of peddle assist for the throttle to work. I would say the only downside to using the throttle is that it is one speed and it's full speed hah Even if you press down a little on the throttle the bike throttles all the way up. Hope that helps!

I have a bushwacker 11 speed. I'm 69 and 255 lbs. If I use only the Throttle the battery life will lesson. I usually have it on number 3 peddle assist and you can pedal anywhere and save the battery a little. Have fun

A little all over actually. Steamboat Springs, Woodland Park, and North East Silverthorne. Nothing! Horrible season last year.

I purchased 2 Rambo E bikes and it has been nothing but a disaster. I have hours of tirelessly trying to explain problems over the phone. If I was to do it over again I would buy from a local shop. If there are problems you can simply take it in. Maybe some other manufacturers are better but I would never want to go through this again. Just too much money to gamble.

I must say it's a nice bike and it could get the job done. You make a good video but you clearly don't know about riding a bike as your seat is too low. your legs need to be extended to produce the power that you need to ride a bicycle unless you're using power assist only. Just saying

Thanks for the feedback. In a majority of the b-roll shots it is my friend riding my bike who is taller than I am. At 6:11 that is me riding. Does that look any better or is my seat still too low?
