We’ve got rabbits in our sights this week, and Mat Manning is out on the hunt with the Air Arms Ultimate Sporter and a scope-cam to demonstrate how steady shots can be with the support of a bipod. Long grass and twitchy bunnies make for some challenging shooting, but Mat still manages to put a few in the bag.
This week’s test gun in the Gamo Coyote Tactical. The affordable PCP gave a great account of itself when we trialled the wooden-stocked version in windy conditions around the turn of the year. With a sculpted synthetic stock that features an adjustable cheek-piece, plus a highly effective silencer, the Tactical variant promises even more. See how it fares as we put it through its paces on the test range.

i believe the Coyote is made in Birmingham by BSA...Its a BSA Buccaneer detuned and rebadged...........i dont like the Gamo wood stock, they should have used the Bucaneer stock...but the black synthetic is quite nice to shoot Very.good rifles these.
They use the rabbits to make beer, you know, for the hops! LOL!

I don't know about putting the rabbit in the bag before field dressing them and I never needed camo clothing head to toe to hunt rabbits. hope the rabbit tastes good. Rabbit meat is better than chicken as far as your digestion goes. Enjoy. nice video.

Caution: this comment is not for the squeamish - As a youth I did a lot of rabbit hunting and carrying a bunch of rabbits was of course necessary and a drag at the same time. I read a good tip in a sportsman's magazine. Make a small incision 2 to 3 inches long from the animals vent to ward the rib cage, taking the rabbit in both hands progressively squeeze the rib cage down to the upper abdomen. Holding the animal very firmly, cock the animal back and sling like you are trying for the fences in a ball park. More of the internals will fly out, both lightening your weight to pack and getting rid of some organic waste where is can do some good fertilizing the fields. Good hunting to you and good eating as well.
This is good advice, I will try this next time.

Don't you feel the adjustable cheek piece gets too low even at its maximum extension?. Gamo Coyote tactical.
Down sides of this gun, ? Non removable silencer you can double load , and now and again a pellet gets jammed making it hard to remove the mag or un jam ,, fairly accurate, but a Kral np 02 cheaper and massive shot count and comes epwith single shot tray and a plastic case and two mags cheers shane

Honest shooting, as good as you can get with two guys trying to keep quiet & stealth like ... lol
I favour through the scope filming with a two hour plus record, set it going until I'm done.

Really enjoy your videos, keep it up! Just asking what Hand Pump would work filling up this gun? GDK? I just don't really fancy buying divers bottles because they are really expensive.

I have a similar gun, and yes, hand pumps work, don't worry about Scuba bottles and all that fancy stuff, just get an FX pump, good connectors if you need them, and some teflon tape if you need it. Will work fine, but it's a bit of a workout.

Who (which state) has a rabbit season in the summer?
Ever hear of trichinosis? My grandfather taught me not to trap or shoot rabbits in the summer, because I'd be much more likely to get fearfully ill. I guess if you're in town, it doesn't matter, because there are lots of hospitals, etc.
There is a time to every purpose. You can also get a bad case of arrested and/or fined, for posting poaching / game theft videos of yourself. I'm a subsistence hunter, a trapper, and I fish, so please don't misread this. Thanks for the video. Nice gun.

Karl ace I now own this rifle and must say it looks nice but and a BIG BUT is the silencer does not come off it's stuck on a big no no from me. And the bolt handle comes off ok but you cant make it a left hand.
Still dont know if i can drill a hole for the bipod.

Would be interested in knowing the caliber? I've been asked to help with a rabbit problem and I've only got .177 hear lots of people say it's not preferable to use 177
177 is better in the uk by a mile
.22 is probably the best to go witg
U.K. .177, aim behind the eye or into the ear.
U.S. .22 or .25, same shot placement.
U.S. (overkill): Hatsan .30 breakbarrel, PCP rifle in .25 cal loaded with polymags.

Didn't want to miss his target and wound instead of killing. It's called being an ethical hunter, you never want to cripple or injure the animal when you can kill it cleanly.
That clamp on the barrel of the gamo cut it off cuz of point of impact issues

Cometa Orion. I have one, the .25 caliber is great for even medium sized-game.
Plus, Cometa is better quality in my experience.

what is the fps?
900, but it doesn't matter so much. FPE is what you want, this deals.... I think 20-25 FPE on impact, good for small game!
