the rune on the shield is known as Vegvisir. they are Galdrstafr. Galdrstafr are magick staves, these are basically a compass that points home.

no they are greek magical symbols and was never used in the viking age, you will find tons of them in european magic books

"Old icelandic symbol from the 17th century, together with an Ave Maria in the Book!"
I mean, I like the Symbol but it ain't Viking nor Pagan.

yes you are correct it is Icelandic, also when you check your history, and find out where Icelandic peoples are mainly from ...Norway, viking and pagans, the symbol has pagan origins. thank you for your comment

@@pagancrafting It's from the 17th Century. Everybody was already Christian.
It's just inspired by older Symbols; a guy just drew them in a Book similar to the one from Allister Crowley.
I mean, hell, use it - no worries, I do that too. Yet it isn't Viking nor Pagan.
As well as I am, as a German nowadays, aren't a "Germanic" the Romans mentioned Sure, German Culture has alot of roots in the cultures of the Germanic Tribes.
Yet, there are still 1000+ years between and between people from Iceland and the people which settled there originally as Pagans, are at least 500 years too.
If we consider that the Wild West is round about 100+ years ago only, yet seems as a complete different time and that 500 years ago, people still rode in full plate armor into battle and didn't knew Chili in Europe - Idk, I'd argue that the christian guy who made that Symbol up, wasn't in contact with people which actually went on "viking tour" nor Pagans in general.
