Hi May, only just come across your videos seen you fishing with Adam Great video an well done sticking it out in the cold weather, I've been doing a lot of Sea fishing the last few years but I think it's time to get back to the canal's for some fishing sessions looks great to be out there. all the very best to you
Only recently found your channel May, very easy to follow, love your style of fishing and narration. Keep up the good work, tight lines. another subscriber.
Nice to see you fishing the Stainy at Thorne May,brilliant canal fishing, Ii live a couple of hundred yards from the peg you sat on, nice to see you have your own site, good luck 😊
Nice one May. Having grown up match fishing the northwest canals. Its a pleasant change from all the commercial stuff. Look forward to seeing more videos 😊. Good luck with your new venture 😊👍
Great to see you keeping it simple 😊.....too much bait, tackle on market......great for catching anglers 😂......I sift mole dirt....add some to flavouring....nd bobs your uncle .....works for me 😊
That is far from a master class in punch fishing it’s nice to see someone fishing this method but as a ex match angler from the the midlands I think people don’t really understand it’s a quick method to catch fish but it only lasts a hour unless it’s a great day then they will keep coming normally you would switch to casters or another bait chop worm
Great vid sounds like you enjoyed making it hopefully you will encourage more girls into the sport in stead of just us old blokes looking to get back into it trying to see what's new and cost of the things keep up the good work
I’m so glad you’ve got your own channel May, you’re one of my favourite anglers and this was a cracking start, I. Can’t wait to see what you come up with in the future ❤
Good video mate. I'm after Pike at the moment, was out in those freezing temps, can't beat it to be fair. Good tip on the bread. If you want similar for the maggots add some Horlicks, you can really ball them up then. Tight lines
Well done for getting out there in the cold weather. I generally do very little (if any) fishing during Winter, so you won't be that surprised to hear that I'm a Southern softy from London. I've lived in West Yorkshire for a while and I can tell you that Northern lasses are tougher than Southern lads 😄
Hi May, really glad to see you now have your own channel. I am looking forward to seeing all your content. If you are ever here in sunny Devon let’s go fishing together 😊😊
Quite a few anglers seem reluctant to use bread as a feed and hookbait. When I fish my local Aire & Calder canal, it's my first choice and I use it throughout the year, not just the colder months. A small pinch of flake on a fine wire size 14 hook fished over a couple of balls of liquidised bread will catch me bream, chub and the larger roach from that stretch.
Problem is , that most anglers only fish commercial lakes these days , and their heads are full of boilies, wafters and pellets . Bread is a great bait and goundbait along with earthworms dug out your own garden .
Nice work, May. It seems you have someone else to hold the camera which makes creating content for UA-cam a sh1t load easier (well, I imagine it would as I've always had to use tripods!). Great to see some traditional canal fishing. Best of luck with the channel - I've subscribed and I'm sure many more will too... 🎣
I was lucky enough to have a good friend help me with this video 🫶 but I will be filming more on my own like before so I feel your pain 🥴its definitely a luxury having a camera person on this one! Thanks for subscribing! 🫶
Good luck with your new venture May, first class video, If you do end up with a subscription channel maybe try a cheaper option (cos there's so many doing it now) and emphasis on natural venues. Great
@@FishWithMay Fair play May but you top tier anglers deserve every penny for the hours you commit and, remember, its potentially a fairly short lived career and you all need to squirrel a bit away for later in life
Great to see you back doing videos for your own channel may as I have missed watching you do videos. Really enjoyed this one as it took me back to when I fished a canal back in the 90's. Look forward to watching all the future videos you bring out. One little thing though, can you set the camera up so we can see your face when your talking during your sessions please ❤
little tip from way back in time (ex match angler from way back)cut crust of slice put in microwave for a minute and flatten with a rolling pin stays on the hook way better even if you miss a bite
@@FishWithMay Keep up the good work and look forward to your next video. P/S I use the "Drake Balsa Canal Wagglers (Loaded) Brown" for line to hand work, superb floats.
Well done May, Its great watching you fish. I'm not able to get out so much, watching you fis is the next best thing. Thank you.🙏
Glad you enjoy it!
Cracking video lass. Reet proper fishing on a cut rather than a Carp puddle. Keep them coming. 👍🎣🎣🎣
Thanks 👍😊
Well in May, canny fishing lass. Keep the content coming!

Definitely worth the cold early start 🥶Thanks for the sub!🫶
Great video May nice to see you bagging on a cold morning love canal fishing too
Nice one May, you're a hardy soul in that weather ☺ I've fished for Pike around there @ Thorne with some Doncaster lads from a Forum
great video, really good content, keep them coming.
Great video May on a fantastic canal. I grew up in Keadby, and fished the Bonny Hale stretch all the time. Good luck with the channel!
Its a fantastic stretch ☺️ which is your favourite stretch to fish?

God to see you have a channel, Iv subscribed. What pole is that ?

Its a great bait to use ☺️ I’m really enjoying using it 🍞 what brand do you use?
@@FishWithMay I always use Warburtons medium sliced. It's doughy and stays on the hook well.

Eyup lass good to see you again
Thanks for watching 😊 where do you think I should head off to next?

Thanks 😊
Last time I used bread ground bait and bread on hook I had every 🦆 on lake in me swim ,,😮
Oooh heck that's not ideal 🥴 you need to add some gravel n dampen it to get it to sink 🎣
Great video May. are you still coaching ?
Thanks glad you enjoyed it. Yes I am ☺️
May what pole is that Map i know but the 801 ?
This is a 901
Would you ever switch to a whip and fish it 6 or 7m to hand with a little waggler on instead of a pencil style float? Crackin video
If I were fishing it shorter then yes I would potentially fish a whip 🤔
@@FishWithMay Keep up the good work and look forward to your next video. P/S I use the "Drake Balsa Canal Wagglers (Loaded) Brown" for line to hand work, superb floats.
Boring
@@MrHemp55 thanks for the feedback. Apologies you didn’t enjoy it
