Thx for the review Ashley. I love mystery / thrillers and get so many good recommendations from you. I haven’t read The Other Side of the Night so I’ll be putting that on my list.
This year’s thrillers were very underwhelming as a whole. My top 7 of the year had a mix of new and older titles: Nightwatching by Tracy Sierra The Sleepwalkers by Scarlett Thomas The First Day of Spring by Nancy Tucker The Blue Hour by Paula Hawkins The Nothing Man by Catherine Ryan Howard The Lies We Told by Camilla Way Dare Me by Megan Abbott
I really enjoyed The Perfect Couple! I will never forget that mid book twist in She's Not Sorry, I was SMACKED. I'll be reading Alperton Angels next month!
I’m have The Return of Ellie Black on my physical TBR! I can never pinpoint if our tastes align because you have some of my favorites and some of my least favorites in both the best of all time and the actively disliked categories 😂 definitely some on here I am intrigued by though!
I honestly love your channel but girl i disagreed so much😭 ill def read more of Angie Kim cuz i loved Happiness Falls, but Darling Girls I absolutely loved and I personally love Jenifer Hillers books. I cant wait for 2025 reads tho! 😙
I actively disliked The Appeal but I’m going to give Alperton Angels a try because I’m a sucker for cults lol. I also thought First Lie Wins was atrocious, so boring. But I absolutely loved Nightwatching and The God of the Woods! Ugh, love them so much.
I don’t think I realized that one perfect couple wasn’t beloved 😂 it’s the first Ruth ware in a few years that I’ve LOVED. She was on a low streak for me for a while that this was such a wonderful return.
Yes I’ve been WAITING for this 🎉

I love that we have the same taste in books! I have read most of these too! I love your channel! 😍

Hahah proceed with caution on any recommendations 😂
I loved hearing all your opinions on the thrillers this year! I also haven’t found a ton I like which is disappointing
Hopefully next year is the year of the thriller 😂

Four books I read & really enjoyed are in your ‘it was great’ tier so I’m going to go ahead & take the top tier as recs! lol
Glad you liked the Osman books, I'm going to give Alperton Angels a try, even thoough I'm hit or miss with mixed media stuff.
Would love to see more Black authors in the mystery/thriller genre ❤
You should try I've Been Waiting by Jack Lawrence. 15/10. But his David Thorne series was awesome too.
I really enjoyed One Perfect Couple and would put it right at the top! 🏝️
ASHELY! On Tier Maker you can select "do not crop" and it won't crop to a square and cut off your titles ;)
Many of your 4⭐ 📚 were 4⭐ for me also. Otherwise 🤷 our ratings greatly varied. Thanks for your recs! 📚
I feel like there should be something between okay and great! Lol or maybe your okay is equal to my good.
Yeah okay = good to me 😂
Let’s goooo! 🎉

Glad we both felt that way at least 😂
70+ 😱 books tier list.... I read only 7 books till now this year😉 i am jealous😅. anyway great video Ashley.
Home is where the bodies are was just a little too predictable for me, which is kinda disappointing. I was really excited to read it !

Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier....
I also loved One Perfect Couple! Shocked by all the bad reviews 😅
I discovered seraphina nova glass this year and really enjoyed her books. Agree it was not the best thriller year. Definitely underwhelming.
No spoilers right???? 😤
Iykyk 😂
