Well lads, here it is! After over a year I finally came through with the Top 10 Worst Quirks.
5000 likes and I'll add the next MHA Top 10 to my to do list ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)....
In all seriousness though, sorry that this took so long. I actually planned on doing this one all the way back in October, but life just kind of set me back for a while.
With the new year starting strong, we're going hard this year to make up for lost time. So expect some great stuff coming soon

Maybe Deku’s mom would have trained her quirk a little harder to maybe attract a father into Deku’s life?
Dekus dad: Can make fire
Dekus Mom: Can attract things
Deku isnt quirkless... His quirk was originally to attract hot stuff (Uraraka and others)
@@rainbowdashie5223 If his dad is AFO like the thorists say, than he should have had long range quirk stealing.
OOF
@@rainbowdashie5223 I somehow would not be surprised if this was true
Bruh
In a world of quirks, being quirkless counts as a quirk
I was about to comment it but i saw yours
That smart
And its rare only about 20% people get that type of quirk
Wouldn’t that mean everybody has a quirk, therefore not being quirkless,so like a “normal” type quirk
Skiptal but everybody has it,making it not a quirk, which also means that quirkless people don’t have a quirk, putting us in a paradox
I bet if dekus mom trained, she’d probably be able to attract bigger objects like having telekinesis
Not to far from the guy with the Larceny quirk, and that guy was tough...
Paper Please 😦
Like a real man?
She describes her quirk as being able to attract "small" objects to her. Giving a vague term to a quirk means that it could be trained to an extreme. Small is vague, how small is small? Is it limited to whatever parameters "small" fits into? Is it limited to everyday household items? With enough training could she rip apart the bonds between atoms? Can she go even smaller and start ripping apart quarks? What is the limit to her power?
I mean, even if all her power did was attract light objects near her. As long as she can specify that is pretty powerful on its own. Imagine if she specifically was yanking at peoples eyeballs.
The fact that Ojiro is such a badass despite his terrible quirk is a testament to his hard work and dedication.
Agreed 👍
Did he do something in manga? cause i don't remember him doing anything badass in the anime
@@user-op5gr7vr7e speaking of the manga, I haven't seen Him, Hagakure and Sato during the war arc too. Maybe they're quirks aren't cut out for a war.
@@zuroku4159Maybe they're helping with evacuating the citizens
@@user-op5gr7vr7ehe survived the usj attack all alone, I think that's pretty badass😊
The funny part with Gyrate is that the quirk user seemed to suffer very heavily from Tunnel vision. He was stuck with the idea that he was a "Drill man" and therefore only made drills the theme of his power, but rotation is a basic mechanic that powers a LOT of things and could be great if used creatively.
For example, he could carry around a weapon or helicopter blades and rotate his Wrist to either power up his attack & range or simply propel his body. As for his issue with ranged attacks, make a hand cannon or something that he can stick his hand or arm into and rapidly wind up to generate power and shoot. But no, Drill man.
I feel like a lot of hero's have this tunnel vision mindset.
I always wanted kaminari to become a human taser, get him in the gym to bulk up and train to release his electricity in one burst.
He just go around punch stunning anyone he gets close too.
With his disks as a ranged option for those tricky few
Simon wannabe
@@extra_preparation6614 he could also get like whips or something and use it to extend the reach of his quirk
If his a JoJo character. He will be single handedly the most broken destructive invincible force in the series
Also getting punched by a rapidly rotating fist would FUCK YOU UP
Like shredded flesh and muscle
“Tail is garbage” *Shows clips of Ojiro smashing through robots, bouncing from person to person in quick succession, and vaulting over robots*
We're judging the quirk not the user, Ojiro's a martial artist with plenty of 'tail gains' so of course he made it work. Someone like Uraraka on the other hand wouldn't even have been accepted into UA if she had his quirk, I mean her tail would've probably been skinny-fat and too weak to smash through a brick let alone a robot.
@@kana22693 if she was born with tail as her quirk what makes you think she wouldn't use it the same way? She could've easily became a martial artist and made her tail just as strong.
@@kana22693 She trained with Gunhead though. Shes actually not that bad at martial arts
I woudl've put denki kaminari instead of Ojiro.
He is like a worst Aoyama version. If he uses his electricity that much he just becomes useless and stupid.
We're talking about the tail not overall ability. If it was overall ability, the list would be greatly changed. Ojiro would atleast be 10th place or not on this list at all.
Look if you’ve watched The Incredibles you’d know that mineta can take down Mr. Incredible
Midnight 9 underrated comment right here
Yes but actually no. That was a bunch of balls precisely shot towards him.
If you had a quirk that was about throwing items, to keep people down, you would have probably acquired seriously good aim, to use that quirk
that idea kinda troubles me
Viper if mineta was a tad more useful and strives a bit more to be a better hero, he’d be practicing the efficiency of using said sticky balls and how to throw them correctly, as he has a pretty high utility quirk
And now we’ve learned Ayoyama isn’t compatible because it wasn’t his quirk to begin with so I wonder how it would fair in the hands of a born user
HOW MUCH HAS AFO DONE SO FAR?! at this point, the next reveals will be AFO was also an online troll who baited Spinner so much in forums that Spinner got radicalized.
I believe Air Prison didn't really get stronger, but simply the dude learned to use it better. Koji is a pretty chonky dude, so it looks like he couldn't escape simply because he was stuck in a fetal position, and didn't have enough to to throw a punch. Bakugo could've gotten lunch, then came back to smash the glass.
But it sustained several hits from metal pipes to be broken from outside. They even mentioned it getting stronger.
I wonder if increased lung capacity would improve his skill. So if he blew longer, would he be able to create a thicker wall/cage and therefore a stronger one?
Navel lassr: bad because it hurts the user.
One for All: literally shreds the user's own body unless they get jacked.
Yeah, but the thing is, you can improve your body so that it can last longer by working out, and you can also make it so you don't use the full extent so it's safe, while with Navel laser, it hurts his insides, unlike doing workout, odds are you can't really improve your insides, hell the series even supports this, his training is improving his endurance so he can shoot it for longer so while he CAN shoot it for longer, unlike OFA, he's still taking the same amount of internal damage
And didn't lemillon punch him in the stomach I feel for him🥺💯
@@lilabaddie7491 Actually that bring up something, just as you can limit how much a human can grow by hurting them enough, is it possible you can do the same for some quirks? I don't mean "Cut off Todo's right side" type of thing, I mean something more like "Give Ayoyama (I don't know his name) a severe stomach punch so bad, it shortens how long he can use his naval laser to half of what he could before"
@@lilabaddie7491 Oh wait, what am I saying, the first thing we see is all might basically saying "My quirk was limited due to damage I gained", so that answers that question

“Manual has a trash quirk” it won’t take you far”….. he’s literally the reason Aizawa was able to prolong his quirk erasing quirk against Shigaraki and if you read the manga then you know how much of an impact it was
I’m pretty sure this was made before that happened but yeah
He was a great sidekick I guess, but solo he ain’t do much…
This was a VERY specific situation where his Quirk was useful and almost a key to win The battle. But whats if Aizawa used another parte of His body to erase quirks? What if The didn't show up? What if no One had an erasing quirk only with eyes? Those a possible situations, The fact that this Man had any protagonism was pure luck
I think mineta's quirk does have a lot of potentials if he learns to use it creatively like what he did when they fought the big three where he uses his sticky balls to stop the debree from the bridge from falling. When I saw that it did change my perspective of his quirks and the others. If they will just find more ways on being creative on their quirks no matter how useful it is on defense, offense or for rescue every quirks do have potential to be a good quirk. As Mirio said that his quirk is strong because he made it strong.
Exactly, I hate Mineta, but his quirk can be extremely useful, and he's smart enough to make a great use of it
Zoom is a good quirk because you can see villains from a mile away but if mineta had that, dam that would be creepy
Eh. You'd still need nothing in your path the odds are very unlikely that either of them could see anything without something getting in the way.

For Telescopic, if Tatami trains enough, maybe she could unretract her body quickly and get enough momentum to strike a villain with enough force to do some decent damage. Probably might not get it off this list but still would make it a more useful quirk.
I guess, still
I literally see no use of it
Useful in a Street Fighter type setting
I was gonna comment the same thing. And I agree. Currently, it can't be useful for much but dodging, but that be use too. Somehow. And with enough training it would be great for fast strikes. Like how Kirishima in jr high could only harden a small part of his body, but enough training managed to let him tank Rappa's devestating blows and even make him impressed enough to see him as someone he could really brawl with. With enough training, Tatami could easy become a very, very good hero
Some of them are only bad because the individual hasn’t trained their quirk yet, like Deku’s mum, or Aoyama’s navel laser 😅

Agreed, although you can safely say that some quirks are just way worse than others
True
Gyrate - is only bad because of the user. With correct use, it can be very good (especially for a villain).
Popoff - is actually very great quick for a good fighter. Take any good hand-to-hand combatant and this quick becomes one of the strongest there is, because it allows the user not only limit movement of enemies, but it also allow to manipulate the combat field, disable or enable certain things around the user. It is good for recue-type hero or kidnapper villain. Moreover, Stain become one of the biggest threats by simply being a good fighter. Take a person like him and give them a quick like this, and you will end up with a very dangerous person.
Solid Air - one of the strongest and most wasted Quirk out there. Create tiny solid needless and press them into the opponent. Disable the quick at a correct time and cause sudden bleed-out. Is that not good enough? Create barriers under your feet to step on or launch yourself of for greater mobility, create miniature shields to block off attacks, and so on. It have so many defensive, utility and offensive uses, yet, the user lacked imagination and skills to utilize the quirk correctly.
Here is a great use of it: fighting up close create tiny shields around yourself blocking enemy's attack while attacking yourself, and solidifying tiny spikes on your knuckles to cause some piercing damage on hit. OR strike your opponent into the face and solidify air in their mouth/nose.
THIS- You could also solidify the air inside someone's lungs. Instant K.O if u can get close enough.
Being capable of endure a vital substance that's all around su everytime with infinite forms with The only condition of breathing and 💨 Is OP as hell
I know that mirio is really powerful but technically his quirk is pretty bad too. Even the characters in the show think the same thing. It’s only because of mirios hard work, skill, and smarts that he managed to become that strong with that quirk.

@@abhabh6896 Thats not tbe quirks fault, that was Deku being a fanboy
@@librathebeautifulwarmonk1283 I am not blaming the quirks, I am blaming the author. We have punching and slashing shonen MCs. It gets boring fast. They never give MC an interesting ability. I dont care about side characters, I spend most time with MC so when I see that his power is so terribly simple I just drop. I guess I became too old for shonen. They just wont give them powers that require much thinking, just aim and smash your problems away while screaming..... And, its not like BNH is the only one HxH, DB, Bleach, all of them just have abilities that are like multipliers. The place witch should belong to a unique power which defines the character is taken by a boring ass multiplier that brings nothing new to the fight but some numbers for versus nerds. We have seen other side characters have super unique powers so why does the most important character in the story need to have such plain setup.

@@rajtirth9755 no it was the quirk, Deku had to find away to use it so it wouldn't hurt him. Legit the amount of power the quirk produce is to much for his body to handle. Remember Deku had to work really hard just to beable to obtain it.
I mean- To help solid air's case, you could also solidify the air in someone's lungs (promptly suffocating them)

@@mattcatt1165 Still, I think a bit of The air he solidifies remains liquid some moments before getting fully solidified, that moment Is when I think the air can go inside someone's body and obstruct his breathing
Sliding Quirk probably has something to do with friction manipulation. Assuming it's only friction negation, it still has a lot of potential like making him immune to physical damage type of attacks by making it all slip from his body. (I don't actually care about this character, but his Quirk does have a lot of potential if used right.)
His quirk doesn't work with friction, according to Koichi, the circles visible when he uses his quirk acts like repulsers, letting him slide on surfaces (technically he doesn't touch the ground) and yes, it has a lot of potential, spoilers :
For example, he learnt how to do the opposite of the repulsive effect, allowing him to slide on wall for, or to make him stick to the ground, while he uses the repulsive effect of his hands to launch an "air bullet" if we can say so, he's even able to slide on the air. However, he did a majority of these feats without being really aware of it

with hastume being in the support classes, her quirk makes perfect sense for her. she can use it for working with small mechanical parts and not need a giant magnifying glass to see what she is doing. it's not a useless quirk in the since that uses it well for what she needs it for.
She's also not striving to be a hero. She shouldn't even be on the list.
@@KennyakaTI I agree
She wants to make equipment for them and if she did want to become a hero, her Quirk would be useful in some ways like spotting villains.
@@KennyakaTI true, she makes equipment FOR the heroes.
That is quite true. She isn't even aiming to be a hero right?
... Guren shouldn't be on the list either. He's a backer of the league. A broker. He's not actually trying to be a villain himself. So two back to back entries that completely violate the rules he himself laid down for us in the beginning of the video.
Put Froppy and Invisible Girl on the list instead and at least your list makes sense within your own rule set.
Giran's quirk sounds like it'd be really good for villainous mastermind activity since you can manipulate what people remember and hence eye witness reports. But that takes so much effort.
I think most of the reason Mineta hasn't showed up good uses of his quirk is almost just plot. His character is only meant for jokes, so we won't see him trying his very best to improve and reach his fully potential, unlike Deku, Ochako and other main characters

I feel like she went to the school board and went "I'm invisible, let me join!" Even Aizawa said the entrance exam doesn't really allow people like Shinsou to get in. So maybe they made an exception for her and realised how it was beneficial?
There are no week quirks, only weak application. Izukus mom could have been a power house in close range since her power would be able to grip body parts such as the heart, teeth, ect. Even Kouji could have been an absolute monster in reconnaissance by setting up a network of surveillance animals.
My theory would be that she has Telekinesis, but because she never trained it, she belives it's only small object attraction.
But given how quirks can develop in this series, chances are she had full telekinesis.
@@zahylon5993eah probably
I do think her raw power is still not great, we have a telekinesis quirk that girl can only lift the weight she herself could lift but it doesn’t seem to have a range limit
So I also think her quirk is very linear, so it can only go directly towards her
I’d still take it if I had to get a weak quirk
Rather that than being able to pull my eyes out of my socket without harm or shooting lasers out of my body and risk getting internal damage if I use the laser over 3 seconds
*weak
I think Ojiro’s quirk has always been overlooked, but when you think abt it, he has so much potential, if he had a few support items here and there he could be great
its also said that his tail gets stronger after every hit, so i dont really get why so many people shit on it, its still op.
Mei’s quirk is actually perfect for her goals, like she can see any and all details of machinery. With her talent for inventing she is quite lucky to have it
Or she decided to become a mechanic because she could see everything in detail.
Yeah, I'm amazed this was on the video at all. It could also be used as a reconnasaince type Quirk to gather information from far away, even if she's not a Hero herself.
The MHA universe is kinda dumb in the sense that there are probably some insanely useful Quirks that could help in Hero work, but because they don't have combat potential, they'll never get the chance.
also if she chose a different profession she could be a very good surgeon
She’s still best girl
Tbf its one of the quirks that can be replaced by existing technology quite easily, like her quirk is the equivalent to someone with binoculars/ microscopic glasses
"he isn't the most physically abled guy himself"
-shows mineta jumping precisely and deftly like a ninja.
Mineta could die in the second part of MHA... Give his quirk a oportunity
Lol
Eliza do you like Denki and toga?
To be fair, Mineta's jumps are being heavily aided by the hair-grapes themselves. He DOES repel off them much like a panchiko ball.
In the sports festival, when todoroki iced the floor, he used his -balls- quirk and didn't get caught. He jumped on his quirk hair to COMPLETLY dodge it. He didn't get caught on the ice ONCE and could've caught up to him. But he didn't watch and got hit by the robots.
i think the sticky balls can be useful if he uses to just bounce off them. It can potentially kind of mimic gran torino's quirk to some extent. I think that is pretty useful in combat
27:22 i think that if he manipulating people it can be very useful
"So I need ideas for quirks"

"Electricity!"
"Mind Control!"
"Acid!"

Wrong.....inko midorya's quirk is more powerful than other villans why?
She could attract skin cells.....
Right! All she has to do is train it

She could attract someones face to her fist without moving
Wait-
bloodbending
I watched every second of that and I couldn't agree more.
Other class A abilities: literal explosions, super strength, electricity, huge waves of ice and fire
Ojiro: *t e l e*
Not gonna lie, I kinda want Zoom as my quirk
I have short eyesight
Kayasit P. Same aswell hahahaha
I think the only reason why Hatsume got that quirk is because she likes building stuff. When she was a kid she probably would've wanted to make stuff and was already insanely smart. She can also use zoom to make sure her work is really good by zooming in to make sure her work is good. She obviously doesn't make perfect things, but she could still use zoom usefully if she had the chance. And if she wanted to be a hero (taking out her talent for building) she would;ve used zoom to probably plan out things. think of Deku for example. If Deku had zoom, he would use it to make sure that the enemy doesn't get super close, but he can also use that extra time to plan out things and make traps. Get it? Almost every quirk is insanely useful.
HELL EVEN TORUS QUIRK "light refraction/invibility" MAKES HER INVISIBLE, BUT SHE CAN CONTROL LIGHT ITSELF! WHAT THE FUCK?!?! She could get support items that could probably make her control light better and maybe even weaponize it. Maybe idk. but she could also be a stealth hero. Just some good comba training and also some really good skills, she could become the best assasin in the whole world. SHe could even master how to make herself super quiet and hide her presence.
@@mouses_HK can you imagine hatsume building her own sniper and trains in marksmanship that shits gonna be lethal
@@ragingpotato-y- she will not even need a scope

Quirkless has got to be the worst quirk
No, once 5 quirkless people are granted a gun
Don't some people that have quirks that turn them into basically human guns, and others that make them bullet proof.
@King EZ yeah I guess
Well....
"*they're still humans...*"
Anyone remember that line lol?
No, quirks can detriment people theoretically. What if there was a quirk that all it did was cause pain? Or one that would be able to cause someone to go berserk with no benefit?
Imagine if someone had no quirk but said their quirk was gun and just had half an artillery on them at all times and used a bazooka to jump high, a cannon for that ball throwing test, and then finally when they’re fighting they just take out duel uzis and just DADADADADADADADAT!
(Spoiler warning)
Aoyama only struggles with his quirk because it isn't his quirk. He was quirkless, but got his naval laser quirk from AFO.
Koji's quirk is honestly pretty solid if he carried go to animals to use, like venomous spiders or parasites. Could take someone out of commission instantly.
Basically that bug controller guy from Naruto
I think koji’s quirk is pretty strong there are animals almost everywhere you just have to be creative
@@Canev821 insects
yeah but he's too innocent to do that
If he had Bakugou’s personality, he probably wouldn’t be in this list xD
I’m just going to remind everyone that in avatar the last air bender water bending can lead to blood bending.
Imagine the firefighter Guy going to face All for One and he's like "Who the fuck r u?" And water dude just bloodbends his ass....
[REDACTED] lol yea that’s what I was hinting at
sooooo, does that mean Inko or the water guys could just snatch ur blood
AHHHHHHHHHH THE FLASHBACKSSSSS WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Ashley Taylor no they can control the blood inside it but it can’t escape so they control your body
Tail is an exceptionally useful quirk for combat and mobility. It grants significant increases to aerial mobility in the city and can also be used to overwhelm, out maneuver and surprise enemies in hand to hand combat. It also helps with defending from attacks from behind, a flaw you brought up with naval laser, which is invaluable for fighting multiple enemies. Overall tail is a great quirk for hearing and shouldn't be on this list.
Myeh, seems too focused on combat capabilities as the deciding factor. Giran's mudiness is super practical for his specific villain business.
Zoom would actually be useful in her field because she could see just about any problem with support gear
She could also help people if they’re trapped in a building
And yet her support gear explodes
@@l1mel1ght69 only because she makes so much gear constantly, it only makes sense that unrefined ones would blow up sometimes
I think they mean combat quirks
@@MeltingMellons Yea she could be apart of a search team in the hero league
the only reason ojirio got in was coz his tail is denki's stress toy
Woah ur comment is one of the few comments that got liked
Ojiro's good at martial arts and his tail helps him maneuver around in city-like environments its not that bad a quirk with ojiro.
@@quinlanshearing1720
Well that's more about Ojirio being really talented and well trained then his quirk being strong, it is still very weak.
@@cormacb2326 I wasn't denying it was weak but with ojiro's martial arts it can be made more useful than the quirk itself

Something to possibly note about air prison is that it is small and closer phobic so some characters might not have the room to escape
I can see many potential powerups for these quirks, or more creative ways to use them.
I don’t know I think being quirkless is the worst quirk
Worked out for Deku
Yes tho
People without quirks are likely just people with modifier quirks who don't get the chance to know they have a quirk because most don't get to add their own to another's.
I’d rather be quirkless than be able to pull my eyes out of their sockets or have long fingers
Mineta is thanos ah my favorite quirk gun
if deku's mom decided to become a hero and use her quirk i know with some intense training and all that, her quirk would've been really powerful if think about it.
Imagine she’s a villain and uses knifes and ninja stars
She could pull your skin or hair off.
deku's mom quirk is pulling SMALL things towards her. Maybe she could literally pull all of your blood cells out of you. She's really OP if you think about it
@@cardboard758 she can only pull small objects
@@lilabaddie7491 most cells are so small they're only visible under a microscope. If she can only move inanimate objects that would be less useful but even then, imagine anyone who has a screw placed in a bone or a stent in a vein etc. She could absolutely wreck people lol
A majority of these are mostly bad due to the lack of training. A lot would easily be some of the best, with some more training. Like how Kirishima could only harden a small part of his body, but after some training he become one of the tankest characters in MHA. All they need is some time to work on strengthing their quirk or training themself to utilize it better
18:28 tbh it being soundproof is actually quite useful
Mr.mic would probably still even be able to escape
To this day, I constantly wonder how the fuck invisible girl passed the hero course practical exam when her quirk is like shinso's quirk in the sense that she can't damage the robots
Nezu said she didnt pass cuz she didnt damage the robots but she pulled the "well im invisible so you couldnt see me destroy them" and she passed cuz of that
She immobilised them; off switches were built in and accessible. Plus she could have probably scored a good few rescue points too.

(Spoiler) Aoyama actually was born quirkless, his parents come from a rich family and were fearful that Aoyama was going to be labeled so they went to AFO to get Aoyama a quirk. That also ment that his family would be in debt to AFO. Aoyama's body wasn't compatible with the quirk that he was given. (I don't want to spoil more but it was revealed in the Manga. If you read it you know)
