I bought a Gevril Wall Street GMT Pepsi and it is high quality, beautiful, and perfect. It’s a shame that you are disparaging Gevril from a eBay seller. Instead a trashing Gevril, the issue is likely the eBay seller.
I have a Gevril seacloud and honestly it’s basically flawless right out of the factory. Adjusted the bracelet and set the time and date and it’s been a dream. Absolutely zero sharp/rough/unpolished edges or surfaces on any part of the piece. They are actually manufactured in Switzerland and are properly made with exceptional quality. I can see their popularity growing and they’re going to start selling for closer to the msrp soon.
Yours is one of hundreds of great and positive experiences I've read about with Gervil. Its why I bought one. I wish the watch had been 100% functional! The killer for me was the complete lack of support from the company and seller. In all my time on buying and selling online I don't think I've had a worse experience. What a shame, it appears they make great watches with a lot of fans. I am just not one of them.
I own the blue face Gevril Wall Street and it's been phenomenal. Keeps very accurate time. It's high quality. The jubilee bracelet shimmers from all angles and doesn't scratch. The automatic sweeping motion is precise and clean. I would buy another. Sorry you got a bad one.
You bought a watch on EBay and can't pronounce the name of the watch. Interesting. If you can't validate the authenticity of the watch the review is basically worthless. In addition, you never even showed the watch on your wrist. I feel for you if you think you got a poor deal but for a review to be worthwhile to the rest of us, this is missing a lot of validity. sorry
This guy thats doing a review on Gevril is a clown that has whole box of Chinese watches in video background. Gevril is 250 years old brand from Switzerland one of the oldest in watch industry and he never heard about it. And he has fungus on thumbnail. 😂🤦🤦
I own a Gevril Vanderbit, which is a great watch. An automatic movement that keeps good time. The face and bracelet are quite striking and I get lots of admiring comments. It`s beautifully presented and is just, in general, an unusual watch, which draws the eye and I paid a very good price for it. I think, like many echelon collectors, there`s a lot of snobbery, when it comes to brands that some have had issues with and they colour all products from that brand. Just my opinion but I have no faults with my Gevril!
It's a real shame. I have a few Gevrils and love them. I have the madison, mulberry, park, and some others. I service them every so often as recommended. Iv'e dealt with their customer service. They are actually very on their game,(unlike some very expensive others for example Omega, Breitling and Versace). So I am gonna have to say call their customer service in New York, not your retailer.
Don't mention Versace watches with the two other brands you named!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You don't own any watches either because you're just a zombie system bot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just took one back, it was a West Village Elite steel bracelet watch. I bought it new from Saks Off Fifth, and in less than 96 hours: first the screws to one of the links connected to the clasp fell off; then when I was showing my wife this, the screw of the link that connected it to the dial fell off too, right in front of me; maybe it was an anomaly; but if this would've happened while riding my bike through the city it could have been really damaged, so I returned it right away; it was upsetting, I really liked the look of the watch, plus what paid for it was way below retail.
I have the green and red and both had the same issue with the clasp. I actually took one of them as soon received it and noticed the issue and @Gevril said there was nothing wrong with the clasp. It's design/defective issue not the poor eBay seller's issue.
Since I have this same clasp on two other watches I can assure you it is broken/not correct. I even went so far as to dismantle the clasp and I could clearly see a spring is missing. The other clasps has a spring in it to allow for the tilt motion and secure and smooth lock and unlocking. Seller also just did not want to talk to me, took three days to reply and kept asking me stupid questions. Even after Got my money back I kept getting dumb questions like "can you send pictures (first email had pics) and send us tracking (sent automatically by ebay). Seller was major retailer and an idiot.
@@TheBigWrist I agreed with you, it is defective, broken, and not correct. But I actually took one of the watches to Gevril and after they had for a couple of days they said nothing was wrong. I'm saying it's Gevril's design or defective issue for this model line and not specific to just your watch.
Sorry.. are you shitting on a 250 yr Swiss traditional watch making company because you bought a watch that came with a broken latch from a third party Ebay seller... and it came the wrong size and has sharper edges, wouldn't cut your wrist if it was the right size. This is very very bazaar review.
gevril pieces are actually in the same family whom owns rolex collection gevril is a phenomenal company ive owned a few sea clouds and a potenate also owned several rolex and an audemar piguet brick made mostly of solid gold gevril holds its own place its a step you take as a collector this is a nice piece but used i would not pay much more than 300.00 for it mabe in 30 years it will go up to what it was new possibly more but the same goes for a jaeger lecoultre jaeger holds more patents than rolex and is the only almost entirely perpetual timepiece known to exist ! it uses atmospheric pressure change to wind itself up !
as you can see the majority of gevril owners on here do not have the issues ive owned quite a few and out of mabe 13 or 14 only had one with an issue but ive also had a 13,000 rolex give me problems. the only hi end watch i haven't had an issue with is Jaeger Lecoultre
How did Gevrils customer service handle this? I have a Gevril Wallstreet and it is a fabulous watch. QC issues happen with ALL brands and the real test is how they handle it. You have to atleast give them a chance to make it right. Hope it worked out!
After the AD refused to answer my emails ands request for service I contacted Gervil and they said I have to go to the AD. They continued to ignore me so I did a return through eBay. Only when I started the refund process did the AD finally contact me. I received a full refund eventually.
My Sea Cloud is flawless and superior to my lemon Rolex Explorer 2 which has been a problem since day 1 even the Gevril high polished wooden box it cMe in is better than the Rolex box I have brutalized the gevril on land sea and air its unbelievably tough and accurate
If Gevril were not on home shopping networks, they would be the absolute darling of lower priced enthusiasts. They make an excellent product, I have two madison watches both are amazing time pieces. They would probably have better marketability if they changed their logo to something more classic looking and stop making the dumb cheap cheezy stuff.
You bought it from eBay your fault not the watch stop bashing this watch company they make some really nice quality watches I own 2 and have had no problems.
@@TheBigWrist I received mine today, exactly same model but with a sunburst blue dial. Exactly the same issue with the clasp. Also the quality of the material of the clasp is very poor quality. Heck, my Victorinox has both better strap and clasp ! The strap seems ok,... although not top notch as I expected for the price at all... In terms of setting the time and date, the little instruction sheet states that there is a B position to set the Date properly, however in mine I can only set the date properly by placing it in position C, which sets the time, and consequently after winding and winding and more winding in position C, you finally get to the correspondant today Date. I dont know if this is the default setting/way its supposed to be? or if function B is a misprint? The watch case looks phenomenol though, and I still have to find out how it holds time. Overall, bitter-sweet experience so far, and debating whether to change the clasp and or strap as well for something else that wouldproperly match what in appearance seems like a good watch. Not sure what to think about this company seems like a mixed bag. Shouldnt they have corrected the clasp issue for this model by now if they are indeed a high-end watch company? 🤔🤔🤔
@@TheBigWrist I see, but Im gonna be honest I dont buy from ebay much anymore, I have found they love to have a lot of fakes these days. Not saying yours was or anything. there is always some that dont get the quality control treatment they should and everyone will hear about it. Thanks for video in any case.
you dont like the watch, but the difference between a 39.5mm and 41mm is 1.5mm--the space between these quotes "--". not going to make much impact on a big wrist. sorry you didn't like the watch.

@@TheBigWrist Totally understandable and very unfortunate. Thank you for sharing your experience.
I have 3 Gevril s two are great and one is not lol…it seems like it’s a crap shoot when ordering these
Excuse me, how much did your watch cost?
I have a Gevril Seacloud too and I loved it the moment I got it!
Buying on ebay is the problems to begin with 😂
you sound disappointed because your watch arrived damaged, i own multiple Gevril watches and love them. sorry it didnt work out for you

That's the wrong bracelet. Mine is a butterfly
Usually great watches. My dad bought one in 1997 and it’s been fantastic
Thanks for posting this, mate. Not a lot of solid info on this brand to look up and honest reviews such as yours really help. All the best!
100% on the Tisell. Had my Tisell for several years now and still runs within cosc standards, lume still is fantastic, and clasp has never failed.
I hate be disappointed by a watch purchase, I feel for ya brother.

I followed the instructions steps by steps and I damaged the gears.🙁🙁
i have a Triton its well made keeps with in 3 sec a day no complaints, i think you was just unlucky with the ebay seller bud.
GV2 Marsala Diamond is on nordstrom rack right now for $300... (from $2695)

I love gevril I have a wall street diver and had others. They are exceptional quality for their grey market price.
It's a scam like a reputable seller said no watch that costs £2000+would ever discount that watch by over 75% discount.
Duh, poor review with user error buying a used watch or a defective on eBay. I have 2 of these and absolutely flawless

Gevril are high quality watches...you got scammed by an eBay seller and try to give these watches a bad name..chill out man !
Really??? Cause they're popular with lots of actors like Denzel Washington, Martin Sheen, even Joan rivers
unlucky yooooou has great movement just got faulty watch
I have a canal street and it's flawless, that's weird.

Did you get a fake?
A fake clone? Get real.
Why spend 500$ on a non main stream watch ? Get a tissot or seiko
