Thanks for the tulle idea. It worked well with my strawberry plants but some foreign bug got to a few and bit a chunk out. I just gave it to the chickens. I also put it over my lettuce plants. 😊
O, Robbie!!! That just breaks my heart that your precious parents are in the middle of that insanity!!! I'm asking the Lord to surround them with warrior angels and special protection. Thank you for the tour. You are REALLY helping us all to maintain our sanity in these horrendous days. I love you so much. Going to start some totes in a chair gardening behind my trailer. Big, big hugs and lots of love, Pat from southern Indiana
OMG, same to you too, hope all is good where you are. First dealing with the virus, then the looting by some of the protestors, but seems to be better and more under control tonight. THANK YOU SO MUCH, Robbie
Oh Robbie, I've been praying for all of this chaos and those who have been affected by it. I am in San Gabriel Valley, so the demonstrations haven't gotten this far. But you are blessed to have your garden time go out to for distraction.
Robbie, your videos are sanity for me. Your wonderful spirit and adorable personality inspire and encourage me to find peace and tranquility in my little garden. May you and your family be safe thought it all. ❤
Happy Birthday Robbie!! I was born in Bakersfield and now live in Albany,Oregon. I'm the oldest of 7 children. We always grew a garden, but I am learning so much from you and Gary. I feel like I know you. You are so genuine. Love you videos.
Hi Robbie looking forward to your video on plant food. I put my zucchini in containers and they are not doing well at all. I’m doing something wrong I’m sure. Stay strong with the riots. I live in the Bay Area and it’s real crazy here to. I will ad ur parents and family to my prayers to keep them safe. Stay strong we will get through this together.
I love watching your vids. You make gardening seem so easy and your enthusiasm has actually made me start experimenting with all kinds of things in my yard. I hope you and your family stay safe. Thank you so much for egging me on to just try things!
It’s ok Robbie family always comes first! And take care of yourselves, we will be here when you’re able to get another video out. I realize this video is from 10 months ago, but things are still crazy so you look after the ones you love-Mechelle💜
BTW: fountain algae.... add some hydrogen peroxide. It clears the water and the birds are NOT harmed by it. Use it as preventative maintenance and you won't get algae growing. 1/2 to a 1 cup works every 2 to 4 weeks. No scrubbing needed.
Glad u guys were safe 😇 Wow ! What a huge bountiful garden u have . It’s like I did my produce shopping at sprouts but better ❤️love those papayas ; love to pickle them . . You basically have everything you need for your cooking healthy meals . Lots of work but it’s worth it .
Happy birthday Robbie! I have been gardening for 40 years! I have collected heirloom seeds for my garden from other plants for about 40 years all non GMO. I have mentioned it in the past that I have been trying to grow Danish flag poppies for the past 2 years! I have never came across a flowering plant that I've had so much trouble with I have planted just about 2000 seats and out of the 2000 seats I have probably 10 it's growing. They come up get about 1 in tall it's all over unbelievable! I keep them watered continually babying them so this year I'm trying to get some to grow so I can gather seeds. Perhaps it is the seeds that I bought online from Kentucky I put them in the freezer before I planted can I see other people saying that they have no problem at all. I live in South Michigan in the summer months and Florida in the winter maybe it's our climate in Michigan. It has been cold all spring never have seen anything like it. I have planted three different varieties of wild lettuce! I have rheumatoid arthritis and I tried eating it and making tea for the past 2 years it really does help the inflammation So anyone that has rheumatoid arthritis or just plain arthritis try wild lettuce, it is also good in salads. Again be careful stay healthy continue growing and happy birthday.
We had romaine lettuce with dinner ToNIGHT. This was from lettuce butts that i restarted in water... and let them go to seeds for the birds. Well... the birds dropped enough seeds that they replanted the lettuce for us. I loved the zero effort in our side salad tonight. Sometimes... less is more.
I was unaware that Geraniums grew in the wild in California. I would be soo excited!!!! I live in Central Alabama and haven’t had a lot of luck with them outside. I absolutely love your gardens. I am working in containers. I have a tomato, pinto bean, green beans, squash, I started all from seeds I bought. I have several containers that are now empty😒. The rabbits, deer, etc. had a nice dinner🤷🏻♀️ I definitely need tulle!!! The animals enjoyed my okra, cantaloupe, watermelon and zucchini 🤦🏻♀️. So I will start more from seeds and fingers crossed it’s not too late. But I will definitely start using tulle. I also just got my 1st solar water fountain, I’m soo excited!!!!! I am trying to use all of the information you share. I can’t wait to see your formula for making plants grow so big. You are amazing!!!!
24:00 .......If you drill some small holes at the ends of the cracking of the totes.....this will stop the split from growing. There are Plastic welding kits you can buy or get some plastic repair spray can, that acts like fiberglass, when applied.
Hi Robbie , I have Brussels sprouts growing in one of my pot of 8 of them and 2 in other is crazy. Write back ok. And I am a beginner of doing it. I am 34 years old doing it
Btw....Happy Birthday!!!! 🎂💐Birthday’s are a milestone for more creativity, knowledge, exploring, love, etc. and for you it is teaching/sharing amazing information with all of us. You are amazing and a joy to watch! Also sending prayers 🙏🏻 God will place a hedge of protection to you and your family.
First of all, I want to wish a very special lady HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope you have a wonderful day. We made pizza last night and used our first crop of Cherry Tomatoes, they were so sweet! Everything is growing well, Robbie, an idea for a later video, could you show us how you make your Zucchini Pickles. May God keep you, Garry and your family safe in these crazy times. Stay well and stay safe.
Hi Robbie Happy Birthday. I really loved your garden tour, but I was waiting to see how you get your squashes etc so big. Nevertheless, I enjoyed your video.
Everything you have shown is amazing! I live in the state of Colorado where we have winter with very cold temps and sometimes snow. No year-round plants or fountains.
Hi Robbie and Gary glad to see you and your family are well. This is Pat from Chicago. Your garden is beautiful and your plants are so large. I don't think my plants will ever get that big. Good video and I am waiting for you to tell us how to make our plants that big.
any advice for stopping Squirrels and Deer ? how do you keep cats from using your pots as litter pans ? where do you get your dirt? do you recommend saving seeds from veggies from grocery stores or are they genetically modified?
Your garden looks so nice! Thank you so much for all the videos you have been posting! The tips are really helpful. I hope you have a very safe quarantine. 😉
Hi Robbie, I have started many totes and I am concerned if I am over watering them. How often should I water them? 1 or 2 times a day? Should the soil be dry before I water? Thanks so much for your help , love to watch your gardening! Bless you!
Never subcribed to anything before but your videos are great! I'm starting seeds inside. Haven't been out but got gloved & masked & went to dollar general for seeds. Scarry but did it! Now my blue lake bush beans are sprouting! Too hot no shade so no hummers but I'll keep trying. And am also trying composting. Happy Birthday! May you have Many More Gardening Years!
Happy Birthday Robbie, loved the tour. The little rabbit at the end was perfect, I think I've seen it before in your garden. This year my garden is bigger and I'm not sure if I have enough seeds for the new beds. I'm going to try some collard seed I saved, for the first time. Much love to you all, with peace and respect. Blessings. 🍰🍰🍓🥑🍌🥭🎂🍶🍨
Hi Robbie, I am glad your family is safe. I tried to grow carrots and sweet potatoes this year but neither one has done anything it has been about 4 weeks. I am ready to give up on them and try something else. How did you get the sweet potatoes to grow?
@ 16:00 she points to a green plant and calls it a "mushroom plant". What is that? Does she make up names for some of her plants? She has talked about some I haven't heard of.
Sorry to repeat my question here. You have many long hummingbird videos, and you have had great success attracting and feeding so many. Still, after watching many of your videos, I cannot find the answer to an important question: what do you use to clean the feeders? Some people here on UA-cam suggest bleach, others vinegar, another hydrogen peroxide, some hot soapy water, all followed by freshwater rinses. Several suggest the dishwasher. I'm guessing not with dishwasher detergent, since they leave a residue. Maybe boiling water; would that be the safest? If so, can the plastic parts tolerate the heat?
Robbie im in so cal desert how cold do you get where you are? curious about succulants here,,, we had snow last year at thanksgiving and Christmas... i sure enjoy your videos... i ordered 2 of the solar fountains when you posted them thank you... I have been gardening in containers for many years
Robbie, Im loving your videos, all the way over here in the UK. One quick question, if Ive got 10 Gallon containers, is that big enough for 2 zuchini bushes or do I need bigger? Thanks, Keep the Videos coming
You said compost the seeds. won't they just grow in the compost? or the "working" compost? Could you explain further on this? I am confused by what you mean.
I noticed you don’t use shade cloth! When we had the heat wave some of my plants did not make it. Maybe they were not mature enough. Do you have trouble on the days over 100
I have been watching your videos about the hummingbirds. I really appreciate your thoughts about your experiences with them. I just came across this video and I had not started it just yet but , I wanted to say is I’m blown away how big your property is! I’m looking forward to these videos because every year I try to grow a herb garden and this year I am growing egg plants (two kind) and melons
Thanks for the tulle idea. It worked well with my strawberry plants but some foreign bug got to a few and bit a chunk out. I just gave it to the chickens. I also put it over my lettuce plants. 😊

I'm sorry Robbie. I'm at an age where Birthdays aren't as important as they once were. I'll be 72 in Sept.
Happy Birthday

Pick the pumpkin blossoms when they are open , clean them and batter them with egg and cracker and fry them. Tastes like mushroom. Yummy!!!

What superfood did you feed your squash to grow big overnight?
I was waiting for that too.
Most likely her compost tea or her bucket of garden leaves with water left in the sun to decompose
I watched the whole vidoe as Robbie said she was going to tell us later, and then later, and then later...
However, I still enjoyed the garden tour.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful video (;

@ 16:00 she points to a green plant and calls it a "mushroom plant". What is that? Does she make up names for some of her plants? She has talked about some I haven't heard of.
When you throw your seeds in your compost don't they grow in there and come up with your whatever else you planned?
