    3D anatomy tutorial on some important veins of the body using the BioDigital Human browser (www.biodigitalh...). This is a relatively basic anatomy tutorial on the important veins of the body. There is quite a bit of detail on the veins of the upper limbs, so if you want to learn about the venous drainage of the upper limbs this is a good starting point! This video is divided into two parts, so make sure to watch both parts!

    @shoopaie Hi, thanks and hope you are finding the videos useful. I am using the BioDigital Human Browser, which is free to use (UA-cam won't let me post the link in this comment, but it's in the video description!). You need to have a relatively modern computer with a decent graphics card, and which support HTML5 and WebGL. But I would definitely recommend using it as a learning tool if your computer meets the requirements.

    How do you know where capillaries are? Do they always join all arteries to their corresponding veins? For example, does the subclavian vein join with the subclavian artery?

    So do the red veins pump it out and the blue veins suck it in or the other way around.and what about where the veins end.do those parts fill with blood.or are all the veins really connected.

      Depends on the blood loss sometimes if its a major vein

    • @legendsocool644
      @legendsocool644 5 років тому

      it depends there are a few factors that can take place one is how close it is to the heart the closer to the heart the more blood will come out but if it is further from the heart less blood comes out and how deep the cut is if it is deeper more blood comes out but if it is not that deep not as much blood will come out last but not least how big the vein is (in width not length) if it is really wide then more blood will come out because there is more blood in the vein but if it is smaller there is less blood in the vein. there are more factors but I feel like this are the main factors but there are more.

    when you say it drains the "head" vs draining the "brain"
    what do you mean by draining the "head" ???

    • @NinjaAssasin06
      @NinjaAssasin06 7 років тому

      sunny kem when draining from the head, it includes any "space" between the bones of the skull (e.g. Parietal, Frontal, Occipital etc). In terms of draining from the brain, he's speaking about the internal structures as the artery (such as the carotid) is always deeper. This refers to areas that are much closer to the brain such as the BBB (blood brain barrier), or any fluid within the skull.

      there isnt just one vein in any place. there are a lot of different veins and a lot of connections between the veins called 'anastomoses'. so you might lose some blood but the other veins are still intact

    • @alishba.21
      @alishba.21 6 років тому

      the reason suicide by cutting wrist works is because in the wrist area, the arteries (which have blood of very high pressure) become superficial. so that when they get cut, the blood starts gushing out with each beat of the heart and you die not from the cut but from the excessive blood loss. the person can, however, be saved if provided immediate medical care
