Unification with people who have repeatedly told you that they are not Igbos. They are Igbos during election or when they are seeking for something that will be beneficial to them.
Then, they should also create Ikwerre state from River since it’s about tribe and Igbo unification.
State is not created based on tribe. First settle that. The current South South has several tribes from different states, likewise the North central.
No one is denying that Anioma is Igbo.
But the issue is about REGIONAL EQUALITY first. Anioma is in South South.
The current South East region is 5 states. To ensure the regions are balanced, a state from the core South East region should be created first.
After that, if they want to create Anioma and add it to the South East, there’s nothing wrong with that.
Just view it from the prism of region and not tribe.

Any state creation by the federal government to balance the marginalization of the South East will be good.
But all the principal actors should understand and should not only focus on politics of state creation, but look at the history.
In my opinion, I think that the Anioma State is the best choice for the South East and it will heal a lot of historical wounds.
Why not these igbo lawmakers come together to agree on one state.
The Idea of creating another state out of the Southeast does not make sense. Bring Igbo communities outside the Southeast back to their brothers.

Did he say they are less Igbo. He said during the presidential election they will deny not being Igbo which is the obvious truth. Ikwerre people have repeatedly, consistently and vehemently denied being Igbo. They reject the idea that they are Igbos. The same with Igbo speaking people of Delta state. When you interact with them, they will tell you that they are not Igbos. The people you call your brothers do they see you as their brothers. Did they accept you as their brothers. They are only your brothers when they are seeking something.

Neither Etiti nor Orlu state makes any sense. These are people who seek to multiple by dividing. Why divide already existing Southeast when you can add Anioma state to Southeast and gain one more state. I am from Anambra, and vehemently support and air on the side of Anioma state. Creating additional state in the south east should not be based on because other regions has six state, but based on population and size. The present south eastern region is the smallest in terms of land mass so creating Anioma state to add up to the south east will be more reasonable so that the Igbo speaking nation will be together in one region.
I worked in the musical studio of this man Amobi Ogah Willy's Studio in Enugu around 2008-2009. He use to be a very lovable man and I had so much respect for him.
