Peter L...great style of info delivery. Just get onstage and tell your stories. Yeah, Im in same boat. 2000 Passat muerto. I test battery---13v. I keep battery topped up via Battery Tender Junior. Battery 20 months old. I try to jump Passat using my F150. I remove the positive cable to Passat, bypassing Passat battery entirely. Nada, car no start. Not sign of life, not even clicks. Yeah, am thinking starter as well. 125k on my Passat. It's been a fantastic car all these years.
@@peterl6095 no interior dome lights, no electric window. Dash lights, like you had. Luckily my car not marooned, it's at my house. I get to ride my motorcycle to run errands. Life is good. Am thinking the wiring harness around starter / battery. And clutch switch. My B5 is a manual 5 speed. Back to it....

No power at all? No lights? Check the main fuses on the battery terminal...also make sure your ground wire is good.

Make sure your terminals are clean and tight....prob not a big problem once you figure out what's causing it.
Trippy Video
