Amazing how Heathrow allowed it and celebrated it in such an amazing way 🤩
It's in LHR's interest to promote anything which will encourage traffic to North America.
@@charlesbrenan6269 yes and they did an amazing job at it. People all over he world watched it!
@Air France 747-400 🇫🇷 thank you😃
Agreed! Great work!
So happy the Brits are coming back!!! We have missed you!!
We missed you guys too, so much so that we made 3 trips to the USA last year to make up for lost time!
Watching this in the US live as it happened yesterday... felt so great. Welcome back.
As a Brit, America holds a special place in my heart. My girlfriend lives in South Carolina and we make numerous trips throughout the year to spend time with each other. We get to share each other’s countries and I like to think, in its small way, brings the two countries even closer 🇺🇸🇬🇧
Brilliant edit and the ATC was the icing on the cake!❤️
@Air France 747-400 🇫🇷 For members only

Spine-tingling. Happy to be a member (Executive) after enjoying your videos and live feeds for a few months! See you in the chat!
I've never flown before (I live in England), and my only visit to an airport was to Newquay briefly a few years ago to see an Aer Lingus ATR turboprop take off whilst on holiday, but I'm hoping to fly for the first time next year to celebrate my 45th birthday. No idea where yet!
3 2 1. Go. He can have a cup of tea now.
Perfect.

i love this moments if 2 planes takeoff in the same moment thx to you Big Jet TV
This is amazing!
A twin landing would have capped it all off nicely :-)
We have been traveling to Nashville for over 15 years, sometimes twice a year, oh how we enjoyed the direct flights from LHR to Nashville, "We're back in December 2021 for Christmas & New Year with our kith & kin and friends.

What an epic occasion! Anyone else notice a healthy bit of smoke from BA1 on the left engine?
Great. Stuff 👍✈️✈️✈️✈️👩🏻✈️
Woo Hoo!!!!
Had to do allot of searching of which planes arrived first. Virgin air
Well it's about time! Welcome back, it's been far too long.
Guys, I'm a bit of a novice here I've been seeing planes flying from the UK to the USA for months now so not sure why all this media attention. So have all the planes flying so far have been empty of passengers. Take it easy on me folks.
I think the vast majority have been cargo with maybe a small amount of essential business travel. Today was when the US finally allowed non-essential passenger flights back in.
@@nr1288 Many thanks for replying much appreciated
@@nr1288 until that day, only US citizens were allowed into the country (with very few exceptions such as diplomats) so although a small number of flights were still flying they were pretty much full of Americans. This was the day the US reopened its borders and allowed visitors to enter the country again
All I can say is "Let's Go BrandSon" 🤣🤣🤣
Jerry you should be up in Glasgow filming all the Private jets flying in and out .
So glad I was watching this live, what an historical moment
46! 🥰
Surprised you folks didn't travel to Dubai to cover the inaugural BA service from DXB to JFK.
I don’t think that’s a thing
Which one had unleaded (E10) and which one had super unleaded. Lol!
Who landed first?
Does anyone know the name of the virgin plane
It was G-VJAM 'Queen Of Hearts' Carl :)
@@BigJetTV thank you very much appreciated
yo I took that plane 18 days later lmao
🇺🇲🇬🇧
The noses went up simultaneously but brittish Airways was further down the runway than Virgin
Why not focus on Edinburgh, Manchester airports, operate more flights from these 2 airports, instead of crowding Heathrow Airport?
And both airlines still hate each other
No.
@@peteconrad2077 Virgin will never forget never forgive.
BA will always think about what they nearly got away with.
@@michaelnunnery6394 gibberish. The companies have a constructive working relationship on safety matters and almost no one in the current management teams remembers the affair.
This is how ignorant I am. Is this type of takeoff a rare thing then?
Yes matt, it was the first time it has been done at Heathrow (that I recall anyway). It was planned when the 747's retired but called off due to the weather conditions. Thankfully Monday was a beautiful clear day :)
@@BigJetTV thank you for your reply. You guys do a great stream and I regularly watch you when you are at specific raf bases.
Keep up the good work, and thank you for all that you do.
Extremely Rare. Heathrow's Runways are 1,414 metres apart. The minimum separation required for simultaneous runway operations is 1,525 metres. Heathrow currently use one runway for landing and the other for departures. They do use both for landing early each morning but the Aircraft are staggered so they are not landing at the same time on each runway.
Escaping poverty to go to the land of opportunity.
Speedbird 1..... NO, NO, NO NO always was and always will be Concorde
Ain't as special with twinjets rather than 747s.
This is sick
Yeah,,HISTORI,,,ZZZZzzzzzZzzzzZzzzzZzzzZ????
masks.....arrrrggggg I HATE them!
