Nice video, as always. Some advice though, at 4:00 you mention keeping the starboard engine off. You’re burning up the graphite face of the starboard PSS, even at steerage speed, because the starboard engine isn’t feeding it water. However, if you cross plumbed the PSS’, then kudos to you and disregard.
Best of luck guys! You should put a "No poop or pee" sign on the mat. They seem to attract all the dogs in my neighborhood HA! Looking forward to seeing the upcoming episodes.
Great Day 1. Just like the ICW, you do a nice job documenting and explaining each leg/episode. My day trip was a little less adventurous with a day at the Sand Hole in LI Sound😊. Enjoy your journey!
I really enjoy your videos. I like that your cruising is a mix of anchoring, using city docks and also marinas. I can retire in a couple of years and this is my goal to 😊
So I have the peep patch too. My girl Gypsy will use it for poo, but not pee. So, I started getting het Pepe paper and putting under the patch and she will use that now. Good luck.👍🏼
I have two comments. First is I am so jealous of you guys for getting to do this. This looks like an incredible trip and I am going to follow you the whole way. Second is a question. Why are you going across the state first then having to go against the gulf stream heading south and around Florida. Wouldn't it have been better heading south on the west coast of Florida and then North on the east coast because you would be going with the gulf stream rather than against it?
It’s about time. It’s a short showers. Should have left yesterday on Father’s Day. You need to watch the weather channel more, especially in Florida. When you hit the East coast look for the Russian Nuclear Submarine hanging off the coast. Be Safe and have fun.
Interesting to see how the 341 does on the trip and follow along. We had a 341, now have a 391 and thinking about doing the same loop, starting in Clearwater though. Did you have a reason for going clockwise? I thought counter clockwise would be the best because the gulf stream would be at you back in the keys going north.
Yes. It varies with speed but It is at least 1 gallon/hour better at 6mph with one engine than running two at same speed. I’ll do a more in depth video on it soon.
I assume you found some confirmation that the 341's are good to go on running only one engine? I do not remember you trying this on your way down to Florida? It seems like it really helps, typically even at 6-7mph the best mine will do is 1mpg (running both engines)
How does one raised in the Midwest with no ocean/ICW experience get to the point of operating a vessel such as yours? I’ve used boats on lakes but that’s it. Appreciate any advice. Thanks for the video.
Yes you need to wear pfds in locks. We had inflatable ones on. Brigitt’s is a fanny pack style she also uses for paddle boarding and is coast guard approved.
Hi. This is Mike and Shelby. We have a 441 live at Lighthouse Point Marina. We are headed to Grand Bahama Yacht Club July 4-7… did you pack your passports?
Hi Mates! Thanks for taking us all along!! Future Loopers, Melody & Terry from LHP, FL. ❤
I think Matie wins Day 1 of the provisioning challenge. Can't beat a bacon egg and cheese sandwich!
Safe travels and have a great time !
Thanks Jeff!
Good luck, thanks for taking us on your trip!
Great Video. Lots of familiar sights!
Gorgeous boat.
Hey! You forgot to unplug the iron!
Looking forward to your trip videos. Have fun!
We never iron. Lol
Love seeing you guys underway. Cheers!
If she’s gonna play that harmonica she needs a Gilligan hat. Catchy tune! Good luck and I hope for red skies at night.
Glad to be onboard with you guys!!
Hooray for docking beers!
This is going to be a great trip
I Pray for you three,Have fun
thanks guys for my afternoon entertainment I hope to see it all be safe alk in michigan
Love your tank. Seas the Day was the name of our 34 Searay when we lived in MA. Safe travels!
Lots of fun!

PSs seals specifically say at slow speeds it isn’t necessary to feed the seal water. Sailboats do this all the time when under sail.
Best wishes on your trip. Enjoy and be safe.
I really like these places you all check out in Florida. Is the puppy in deep trouble for eating your breakfast... sharing is caring 🤣🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Matey is out of the dog house. Lol
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs awesome 😁🐕🐶
Looking forward to your journey. Safe travels⚓️
Have a great time. Like the Thin Blue Line flag! From Punta Gorda.
Enjoyed day 1 hope the rest of the trip goes well for you.
You have to teach the Admiral to ride Matey to shore on the paddle board. So much easier than the dingy.
I agree totally! 💯
Great relaxing watch here in the Uk before bed! Motivating to see you both doing what I’d like to in the med in the next 10-15 years
I’ve been watching you guys for a while love your show. I’m looking forward to riding along on this adventure. Cheers.🍻
Thanks Sean!
YAY you're off
Best of luck guys! You should put a "No poop or pee" sign on the mat. They seem to attract all the dogs in my neighborhood HA! Looking forward to seeing the upcoming episodes.
Very excited here for you and in anticipation of all the videos to come.
have a great trip guys
sofar so good
Glad your underway ,following

Love the sand hole! Even that trip was an adventure for us. Lol
Good luck and smooth seas. Hope you catch good weather on the eastern side of the state.

@robertgoodnow5069 do it!
Love it “tough love”…..My dog has no issue going on the boat…We would spend 2-6 days offshore without land so she learned quick…..
Jelly!
So I have the peep patch too. My girl Gypsy will use it for poo, but not pee. So, I started getting het Pepe paper and putting under the patch and she will use that now. Good luck.👍🏼
Let the fun begin.
Godspeed on your travels. PS please tell Admiral to give up her song writing career - LOL just kidding that made me laugh!

Gulf Stream is negligible close to shore as we travel. We were excited to do the east coast first anyway.

Did you guys hang around Stuart hoping to get a glimpse of the rocket launch.
I wasn’t aware of a rocket launch or that I can see from here. We’re still at Peck Lake tonight. Been cloudy though

Very little Gulf Stream affects so close to shore. Plus it’s more fun leaving the best for last. 😁
I really wish we had a diesel 391. The 341 is just too underpowered We’ve relegated our 341 to trawler speed trips.
Awesome, the fun begins.......😛😛😛
Have you actually calculated the fuel savings using one engine when travelling at slower trawler speeds?

I started small and worked my way up. If you boated on a large lake and in windy conditions, making the transition to the ICW isn’t much different.
What books/charts/apps did you use to plot your course?
Navionics boating app is my go to for plotting courses. Also used Waterway guide to find anchorages and free docks.
Question. Do you not have to wear PFD's in the locks there?
Yes you need to wear pfds in locks. We had inflatable ones on. Brigitt’s is a fanny pack style she also uses for paddle boarding and is coast guard approved.
What was the minimum depth on your trip so far??
Depends on where you go. But the ICW is typically 6’ minimum.
Will there be any fishing?
Yes I brought my gear!
Everyone has their pools screened in. Insects bad there?
Can be.
Will the Admiral need Dramamine for Lake Okeechobee?
The lake was the calmest part of the trip. Lol
Is it ok to run on one motor does it cause a problem with the other transmission because the propeller will cause the shaft to spin
Yes no issues with our borg Warner tranny
Hi. This is Mike and Shelby. We have a 441 live at Lighthouse Point Marina. We are headed to Grand Bahama Yacht Club July 4-7… did you pack your passports?
We also have a pickle ball court at lighthouse point Marina. I can connect you with players
Nice, but you still need to switch the colors on the engine keys.
Red right return. Lol
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs
Oh!
I understand.
Personally everything on the starboard is green because of the lantern there, and vice versa.
May sound gross, but I trailed our dog on the pee mat by peeeing a little on it myself. Worked like a charm!
You’re on a boat with a hot chick. Rain can’t spoil that!
Just made her day. Lol
