Kudos to the genius that tied the line to the handbar on the Jet Ski. Tying to the highest point of the Jet Ski makes a lot of sense if you need an anchor!
I don't understand why they don't put d-rings on the bow like normal boats? That would make so much sense overall, both in securing to a trailer and also for towing.
So many crazy things in this video. The woman riding on the bow in the beginning, the guy snorkeling in the inlet and with no dive flag, the jet ski being towed by the steering yoke instead of the bow eyelet and the big yacht turning around because he thought his antennas would hit the bridge. Just a typical day at Haulover😎

Yes, you are right, it would have been better off left on the beach with a qualified person looking after it until a competent boat operator can fetch it the right way.

Re: Quintessa...all marine antennae can be folded flat for just such situations. Either the captain did not know this or the antenna were installed where they could not be easily reached
Loved the caption… “no speed limit at Haulover Inlet” and apparently no Rules either! You can guess what happens which we have seen through these videos!
I feel like if you're going to be allowed to operate a Miami-Dade Police boat you should at least be required to be tall enough to see out of the boat!
Saw in another video, the guys from the boat threw the jet ski gal a line and she tied it off on the steering column. While she was in the rescue boat it appeared she wanted one of them to do something about her poor line location choice.
The Capt is responsible for boat, people and the environment affected by his boat. I’m sitting on a couch watching him be cautious. It looked like he could’ve made it from where I’m sitting which is to say totally irrelevant haha.

Re 1:38, does that girl have any idea who expensive it is to replace lost teeth?? She should realise that teeth don't float when they're knocked out. 😆😆😆
Oh boy there's no rules in the water anymore I remember when my dad had a boat we used to go out through Haulover Inlet and there was always manners nobody has manners they're all flying by each other under the bridge and how many life jackets did I count in this whole video one wow
The only reason that some captains allow their passengers to ride on the bow must surely be they have recently taken out a life insurance policy on that person.
@@prospect8696 Living at the other end of the world completely surrounded by seas.... with a boating industry that builds for the roaring 40's..... no open front decks except Bayliners imported for lake use.... and helm positions that allow a Skipper of any height to see over the bow at all times....
3:52 "captain made right decision...?" In terms of what? I assume he made the "right" decision for him. If the question refers to getting under the bridge, the video is inadequate to make that determination - it's a telephoto shot so everything is compressed, the point of view of the camera is barely above water level so the shot goes through the boat and its superstructure, and I don't know what equipment or its value might hit the bridge steel support. Next.
And why isn't their any speed limit through Haulover...? I get needing speed to stay on plain because of the heavy wakes through there. Otherwise, slowing it down your going to "sip and dip" your boat the entire way out. Especially, in an open bow rider which can easily be flooded. However, some of the speeds through there are obnoxious. Especially, boater etiquette towards other captains creating unnecessary wakes on top of turbulent waves as it is. And no i don't agree with the guy snorkeling in that area. Anyone doing that is just taking a huge risk of losing their limbs or life getting run over by a propeller. And yes i do believe the yacht captain made the right decision turning around. Their isn't much else he could have done sitting there in heavy boating traffic deciding on what he needed to do.
I would not snorkle in the inlet. Neither would I scuba in the inlet. One reason is no speed limit. Another reason is how fast the current can run through the inlet. Stupid is as stupid does.
Those Miami-Dade officer are too short to be driving that boat. They need to find taller officers or get them a stool. They couldn't see shit in front of them.
Based on what it looks like in the camera angles, you wouldn't be able to see a 15-year-old girl in the water from the pilot's seat while the boat is doing the Carolina Squat.
guess she doesn't know they flip right back over and will be fine, of course they could have righted it and then went in ... but that is what can happen when you don't have a professional tow

She probably had a phone or something in dry storage bc once it flipped she started flipping out knowing the dry storage was under water n it could possibly ruin her phone or if it was a rental thinking she would be reliable
What do you think happened to the girl who had that nervous breakdown and looked considerably worried and almost hysterical?
Maybe she rented the thing and was worried it was gonna break and she had to pay a lot. Can get a person pretty nervous.
She lost her cell phone
She probably had to work for the money to buy the jet ski, unlike most of the people on this channel.

That Pershing 82 at 13:21 looks like something a James Bond villain would have - maybe out of Thunderball.
Do people not realize that jetskis have a front tow hook literally designed for towing
It was so unbelievably stupid to wreck the jet ski.
Some people think towing an SUV by the roof rack is ok.
Most who own are too stupid
9/10 of these people are probably idiots from NY/NJ. That should explain it all.
it always boggles my mind how they can afford such a expensive boat but I have no common sense..

Pulling that jet ski by the handle bars was a brilliant idea. 🫤
They need a step stool for that female cop to see over the console. She is driving blind out there.
Probably about two steps high to over the console, let alone the bow when riding for the waves.
