I don't understand why people are laughing at this comment... T-Rex is bipedal; he only has two legs to walk with. So if either one gives out he's down, he ain't moving and he ain't getting up again. Especially seeing that he is such a large, heavy beast! I used to do martial arts... and one time during the fight I got a nasty bruise on my leg and I couldn't properly use it anymore... of course I could still walk... with a slight limb. But quick movements? Like a swift dodge to the side or a sudden dash forward? Forget it! Forget kicking too! I couldn't effectively kick with the injured leg and neither could I stand on it and support my weight while kicking with the other! I was essentially a sitting duck! Sure I could still block my opponents attacks using my arms... but what the heck could T-Rex do in such a situation? Nothing! Except maybe try to scare away the enemy with a roar or something and try to limb away! A broken leg for a lone T-Rex was a death sentence!

Triceratops and Ankylosaurus have always been my favorite dinosaurs the moment I learned of them. And the big thing is that they were able to stand up to the "tyrant king lizard" and win~. Definitely say the Ankylosaurus has a stronger edge in this fight due to the body armor protecting the back, and being a "short" animal certianly helps with attacks coming from above. But I'm still floored with the fact that the Triceratop's skull had the ball joint. Always liked the idea of them charging in like jousting knights, but the idea that they could use the horns like rapiers against foes is just as fantastic~. While the Hybrid concepts of Jurassic World are meh to me, I can't deny that having a hybrid of the 2 would be amazing~, essentially a Triceratops with the back armor and club tail of the Ankylosaurus~. Then it's got weapons on both ends and strong armor to withstand attacks.

True true. Honestly, out all of these mentioned animals, I believe most t rexes were killed by other t rexes coz we have evidence of t rex face biting each other, proving they fought time to time.
Triceratops were the crackheads of the prehistoric era. Succeeded in the modern era by Honey Badgers. Both are known to take on apex predators, and both are known to be able to come out on top.
@@Daizyujin85 not only that, the hit that the ankylosaurus got on the I.rex was by all rights a fully lethal blow. You don’t take 1,000lbs of solid bone sledge to the back of the skull and walk out alive. I don’t care WHAT animal on earth across time you are, that hit was an instant kill. That being said T.rex’s jaws were plenty suitable for tearing through that anky hide. The spikes and bone plates didn’t make the ankylosaur T.rex proof, they just needed to keep the ankylosaur alive for another minute for expressly so it could try to end the fight with the tail sledge.
I wonder if a stegosaurus could do it. I feel like if their tail had the mass of an ankylosaurus, then it would be even more effective with its impaling capabilities considering the T. rex has no armor. But since it lacks the mass, it lacks momentum so it might not be dangerous enough for t rex. Just smaller predators
Unfortunately this fight would likely not ever happen less the rex was literally starving many people think rex and many carnivores were ruthless killers but most actually were more likely to be scavengers and opportunist rather than cold blooded killers it was just safer one small injury could mean death for many dinosaurs as well theres no dino hospital haha

Fun fact: In Walking With Dinosaurs the female Trex fought the ankylosaurus and when the ankylosaurus used his club, the trex’s organs ruptured and then a few hours later she died. So you’re goddam right the ankylosaurus could kill a Trex.
Ankylosaurus are like tanks, protected with bones and thick hard skind, they are a big challenge for all carnivorous and to kill one adult they had to be minimum two to have a 89% to kill it
I feel like Dakotaraptor may be a more appropriate choice than Utahraptor, as they nearly the same size, and Dakotaraptor actually coexisted with Tyrannosaurus. Love the dinosaur videos though! I hope you keep making them!
Huh? What is your point exactly? All 3 of those named animals are Dinosaurs, and on top of that none of them are reliably winning the matchup against a T.Rex Tarbosaurus is frankly, just out-stat'd by T.Rex. It has a weaker bite, probably can't turn as well as T.Rex, and wasn't anywhere close to as massive. Spinosaurus just isn't built for land combat. Yes it would be a fierce terrestrial opponent but it's not built for therapod v therapod combat and would likely, eventually, be overpowered by the T.Rex. Instead of Utahraptor, the video should have showcased Dakotaraptor. Dakotaraptor actually did live with tyrannosaurus and might have been a threat to juveniles.
Something to note is that utahraptor had a very different body shape and probably niche compared to other dromes, possibly including dakotah too. It was much more bulky, powerful, and heavily built meaning it would probably be hunting adolescent rexes.

Yeah bro not a dinosaur at all but the t Rex has the upper hand most of the time as it's more adapted for life on land than the crocodilian and can react fast to it's attacks on land then grabs the deinosuchus for it's neck to the shore from the soft part killing it with it's famous bite force

I completely agree with you. T-rex is my favorite dinosaur, but it's quite obvious it wouldn't win against everything and most importantly, not everytime. And some fanboys think also in absolutes. There's a difference between an animal being more of a threat than others and being killed no matter what everytime. T-rex could get killed, as any other creature.
I don't think that it's the issue of exteme T.rex fans thinking it could be beaten, more like extreme T.rex fans thinking tyrannosaurus always had the upperhand and higher chance of winning, in which against some dinosaurs during its time it did NOT. Tyrannosaurus was mainly after hadrosaurs not the deadly herbivores mentioned here.
@@nope7389 if the T-rex approached without care the Therizinosaurus or other dinosaurs like Deinicheirus, and attack with even less care, and not start surrounding the opponent with its superior speed, just stay still, then, most certainly. That's why I think it wasn't included in the video, there's a lot of ifs (T-rex was larger, several tons larger, with its powerful bite, strategic mind, was also faster, etc. this advantages narrow with the other creatures in the video. For example, Ankylosaurus' armor can protect it from T-rex's direct hits, or Triceratops' superior speed), but the Therizinosaurus was without doubt a dangerous opponent if not dealt with appropately.

The Ankylosaurus, Triceratops and Alamosaurus definitely deserve their spot on this list. However the inclusion of Utahraptor is questionable, since it can only realistically beat a juvenile. In my opinion, for something to be a T-Rex killer, it has to be able to kill a Tyrannosaurus in any stage of it's life, which the Utahraptor clearly can't. Also Dromaeosaurs, or Raptors as you refer to them likely could not use their claws for disemboweling. It is generally thought, that they used them like a dagger to stab their prey into vital areas, like the neck. Another entry that is questionable is Purrasaurus, not because of its ability to kill a T-Rex, but because it is not a Dinosaur. Your title clearly states that you will be showing Dinosaurs. This would not matter if the title was changed slightly, but as it stands, the inclusion of Purrasaurus conflicts with the title. A few statements were also a bit questionable, such as the Ankylosaurus hitting the T-Rex in its head. I don’t know if an Ankylosaurus had enough range of motion in its tail, to go for the head. Besides, it could just go for the tyrant's leg, which you showed in the video. All in all, the video contains some good points, and the models you use in the diagrams are pretty good as well. There is some bad and outdated stuff in here, along with a couple of questionable statements. The vibe of the video is also a bit "awesome-broified", but I guess that is just to captivate younger audiences. Overall not bad.
It's been more recently noted that Raptors likely attacked more like modern birds of prey. Being completely covered in feathers they likely could climb trees and glide down on their prey, using their talons to grab and pin their food while they bite at it and flap their arms. Therapod dinosaurs are just birds after all.

When writing, I was just thinking of the fighting dinosaurs specimen, where the Velociraptor has it’s leg extended towards the neck of the Protoceratops. In an old documentary, they said that the claw was built for stabbing instead of slicing, and that they would use them to attack weakpoints such as the neck. But again, that documentary was old, so certain information is definitely outdated. I'd also say that pinning and stabbing aren’t mutually exclusive, but yes I fully agree with your statement.
Also, didn't Purussaurus live during the Miocene all the way in Brazil? If he switched that out for an actual local contemporary crocodile like Deinosuchus (and Utahraptor for Dakotaraptor), THEN that would be good.
It would have been better to have included Deinosuchus riograndensis rather then Purussaurus brasiliensis. D actually lived alongside Albertosaurus and they competed directly for the same prey
Yeah spinosaurus is just a beautiful animal but judging by its tail and sail its large size was most likely supported by being in the water a lot. Would've been one of the most awesome sights to see swimming in the history of the earth.
i remember some science man found out that spinos would eat anything they could catch and i remember one case where they found a pterodactyl inside a spino all crunched up ( I would have to find the article but I'm lazy )
To those Spino fanboys who grew up with JP III; Spinosaurus was not bigger than Tyrannosaurus rex, it was longer, but it didn't weigh as much. When it comes to size in animals, weight and mass is the deciding factor. That is why Elephants are the largest living land animals, even though Giraffes are taller, they are not as heavy or massive as Elephants. Also, unlike T. rex, Spinosaurus was not adapted to hunt large herbivores or compete with large carnivores. Spinosaurus was adapted to hunting fish. Spinosaurus also didn't have as strong of a bite force as Tyrannosaurus rex, one bite from the T. rex and the Spinosaurus is dead.

What do you mean didnt live in herds? Having fossils doesnt prove anything. The amount of land shift and natural disasters over millenia could apread them out. We can truly know nothing but their diet in certainty.
It has been proved that the toe claws of raptors were not sharp along their length like a knife, so they could not be used for disemboweling very easily. What they WERE used for was to STAB the body of a victim, more likely in the neck where an artery could be punctured. A death struggle was captured in fossils in the Gobi Desert--a ceratopsian and a raptor were locked in a death embrace when they were covered and died. The ceratopsian had one of the raptor's forelimbs in its mouth, while the raptor had its extended claw buried in the neck of the ceratopsian. Look at fossils of raptor toe claws--they were used for puncturing, not slicing.
@@sweetpeaches6916 He is right (as of right now), those claws have been shown to be more blunt than previously thought. That and if it was going to be that strong, it probably would have had a lot more muscle attached, something we just don't see being there.
I agree with the Ankylosaurus. I wouldn't say it would easily kill it outright unless it was really in a pinch, or managed to hit the rex in Just the right place to snap it's neck. But it could definitely maim the therapod, and stop it from hunting, thus sending it to death, ala Walking With Dinosaurs
i agree to that too. their armor is too thick and they have a weapon that crushes bone easily. the only way a t rex cud win is if it managed to flip the anky over but ankys have a low centre of gravity and before a trex cud flip it it wud have smashed the trex’s legs or skull
Well think t rex would see the club seeing how powerful and armored it is it would get away from it ( as it is faster and smarter thank anky) it would aim for the neck ( a t rex more reached the neck )so a trex has more chances of winning but anky can win aswell
While T. rex never encountered Utahraptor, there was a large dromaeosaur called Dakotaraptor that did live alongside Tyrannosaurus rex. They shared the same habitat and prey, and it's likely Tyrannosaurus juveniles might have been suitable prey for this rare and elusive predator. Furthermore, Dakotaraptor was about 16-18 feet long and weighed between 600-800 pounds. It could certainly kill a juvenile T. rex in the same size range or smaller if it wanted to.
I like to think of juvenile rex and Dakota raptor like wolves and cougars, both share the same habits and food sources however rarely conflict with each other

I was wondering about that. Nobody seems to bat an eye to Deinosuchus. It’s name literally means Terrible Crocodile. It was one of the largest in its family and it was a Cretaceous creature, so why use a Cenozoic one?
I believe that a T rex can bring down a Sauropod like Alamosaurus. From what scientists has discovered is that they have hunted in packs of 3 to 4, just like there cousin Albertosaurus, and the Allosaurus. Eventhough these animals can kill them, excluding the crocodiles, T rex is capable of bringing down large prey. For example, a pack of Allosaurus can bring down Diplodocus, Camarasaurus, Apatosaurus, & Stegosaurus. They can't bring them down by themselves. So if T rex was to bring down a Sauropod, they'd have to hunt in packs, and work together to bring them down alongside Triceratops, Ankylosaurus, & many other herbivores that lived alongside them. Ankylosaurus is not as powerful as you think... First of all, the bone skin of Ankylosaurus is called Osteoderm in scientific terms. Crocodiles, armadillos and many lizards have this kind of skin, it is not armor, and the thickness is only 0.1cm to 0.4cm , It can't stop the strong bite force of the Tyrannosaurus at all. The tail hammer of the Ankylosaurus is too short, and the tail can only swing left and right, not up and down like the BBC said. , The reason why tyrannosaurs rarely hunted Ankylosaurus is simply because the number of Ankylosaurus is too small, and it is difficult to find by tyrannosaurs.
I’m a huge T. rex fanboy but have always acknowledged that several large herbivores would have been able to defeat one - where I take objection is when theropod comparisons are made on the basis of films such as the Jurassic park series and not on palaeontological research and anatomical fact.

I love T Rex but I agree. That Rex vs Spino fight was 20 years ago. Let’s move on. Even predators can slip up and those mistakes can kill it. I mean T Rex is so top heavy that if it trips, it could die. Plain and simple.
Triceratops: It could definitely kill a rex, but only if the rex is stupid enough to go head to head. No, Triceratops can't DESTROY Tyrannosaurus easily, that'd only happen if the rex didn't ambush. Alamosaurus: duh. Ankylosaurus: I'd say it couldn't KILL the Rex initially but if the tyrant's ankle or leg are broken, unless it's in a pair, it's dead. At night time, ankylosaurus wouldn't have a good time, basically. Purussaurus: Althought it lived in the Cenozoic, not with the rex, it could definitely do it, but the Tyrannosaurus could probably destroy the Purussaurus if it got caught on land. Kinda like a Jaguar/Caiman situation. Utahraptor: Adolescent to Adult are a N O, but the juvenile rex would be good prey. Well, that would be the case if Utahraptor didn't go extinct before the tyrant came along. Good list, heres mine. 1 is best, 5 is rare, like 50/50: 1. Alamosaurus 2. Triceratops 3. Deinosuchus 4. ONLY the very large Edmontosaurus 5. Other Tyrannosaurus I didn't put Ankylosaurus due to the fact that if the Rex is hunting at night, it wouldn't stand a chance. During the day, it'd be a 51/49, with the Rex having a VERY VERY VERY SLIGHT edge.
One of the reasons I really enjoyed Walking with Dinosaurs was the episode where the (Allosaurus?) got sliced along the hip by a herbivore, I didn't think much of it until it went into the concept of infection and bleed out. Animals got it rough, but at least the herbivore gets the last laugh
Yeah, even if a allosaur survives a impalement from a stego it will almost always bleed out or get a nasty infection and get crippled for life if not die

Akylosaurus was such a badass and definitely one of my favorite dinosaurs back when I was just a little kid. As far as other dinos that could've killed a T-Rex, I would also add stegosaurus to this list as well as any other extremely large sauropod that could've absolutely squashed a T-Rex.
(nerd warning)🤓 In my opinion the stegosaurus wouldn't be able to kill a T-Rex, but I think the stegosaurus can survive a T-Rex attack. You see the stegosaurus doesn't really have good defense, those dorito chips on its back while being durable by themselves the thing that connects them to the stegosaurus's skin are somewhat flimsy. "Ok" you might be saying but how about it's spined tail, well it is true that it can be used just like the Akylosausrus's tail it wont be even half as effective since the spines are pointing upwards, kinda. So that is why I don't think the Stegosaurus can't defeat a T-Rex, but who knows the T-Rex and Stegosaurus didn't even exist with eachother they're approximately 80 million years apart, so even if they wanted to fight it would never happened. The ankylosaur, stegosaur and triceratops with the tail club, thagamizer and head spikes respectively could quite effectively kill a rex. The ankylosaur could bash the Rex’s skull into bits, the stegosaur would impale the rex through the skin and possibly organs with that thagamizer and the triceratops could skewer the tyrannosaur’s throat with a spine

An experiment carried out revealed that the raptor's claw would probably not be used to cut but to pierce, probably being used to pierce an enemy's throat. And real Ankylosaurus didn't have an armor like Jurassic World, possessing instead huge osteoderms, that doesn't stop him from killing a Tyrannosaurus however. And I think this video would be better if it talked more about animals that actually lived with Tyrannosaurus. And sauropods are the closest we have to kaijus in real life.

T-rex could indeed be killed by other dinos, but they also needed care, his bite was so strong, that depending on the dinosaur, 1 bite already killed...
you could also say about crocks and aligators. they have a bite strong enough to kill anything but can still be killed by animals way smaller even a group of great oaters and kill a full grown crock

An animal that I believe that could kill a fully grown rex would be Deinosuchus. This was a giant alligator with a much stronger bite than T.rex, it an ambush predator that has a similar hunting style to their modern counterpart.

A Tyrannosaurus Rex would not likely win a fight with an adult Triceratops. They (if at all) would’ve killed a triceratops via Ambush and most likely would be juvenile/old/sick or young Triceratops. Although a Tyrannosaurus Rex actively hunting a Triceratops is mostly fantasy. They most likely lived in coexistence much like Rhinos and Lions. The risk of taking on an adult Triceratops is not in an adult Tyrannosaurus Rex’sfavour. Much like an adult Male lion trying solo a Rhino. The Lion much like the Tyrannosaurus Rex would more than likely not make it out alive or if it did, the Tyrannosaurus Rex would succumb to its injuries while a Triceratops would have minor injuries.

I’m very disappointed that the ankylosaurus was not as strong in the JP franchise. It’s club was just super weak compared to the real life counterpart, and I get that the InGen version is different but it just feels like plot convenience for the hybrids

I dont think Utahraptors or other raptors used their claw to kill pray with... I feel its to unsafe for themselves. If they kick with all their power, there is a chance they'll break their own foot / toe. Also with Ankylosaurus.. I dont think they would ever aim for the head... its too small target = too risky target. Aim for the body and it will always hurt

I always figured T-Rex Vs Triceratops was a 50/50 battle. The two titans clashed regularly, and their margin for victory was thin. They have found fossils from both that that looked like they had killed the other one.
Attacking a healthy adult Triceratops would have been way too risky for a Rex to attempt, as you can see in the video. It almost certainly preyed on old, sick and juvenile Triceratops, like predators prefer to do with their prey today.
If you're going to alter the t-rex's age to fit utahraptor on the list, I'd say a golden retriever could kill a newborn t-rex.

I used to do martial arts... and one time during the fight I got a nasty bruise on my leg and I couldn't properly use it anymore... of course I could still walk... with a slight limb. But quick movements? Like a swift dodge to the side or a sudden dash forward? Forget it!

Triceratops and Ankylosaurus have always been my favorite dinosaurs the moment I learned of them. And the big thing is that they were able to stand up to the "tyrant king lizard" and win~. Definitely say the Ankylosaurus has a stronger edge in this fight due to the body armor protecting the back, and being a "short" animal certianly helps with attacks coming from above.
But I'm still floored with the fact that the Triceratop's skull had the ball joint. Always liked the idea of them charging in like jousting knights, but the idea that they could use the horns like rapiers against foes is just as fantastic~.
While the Hybrid concepts of Jurassic World are meh to me, I can't deny that having a hybrid of the 2 would be amazing~, essentially a Triceratops with the back armor and club tail of the Ankylosaurus~. Then it's got weapons on both ends and strong armor to withstand attacks.

That being said T.rex’s jaws were plenty suitable for tearing through that anky hide. The spikes and bone plates didn’t make the ankylosaur T.rex proof, they just needed to keep the ankylosaur alive for another minute for expressly so it could try to end the fight with the tail sledge.
I wonder if a stegosaurus could do it. I feel like if their tail had the mass of an ankylosaurus, then it would be even more effective with its impaling capabilities considering the T. rex has no armor. But since it lacks the mass, it lacks momentum so it might not be dangerous enough for t rex. Just smaller predators

Tarbosaurus is frankly, just out-stat'd by T.Rex. It has a weaker bite, probably can't turn as well as T.Rex, and wasn't anywhere close to as massive.
Spinosaurus just isn't built for land combat. Yes it would be a fierce terrestrial opponent but it's not built for therapod v therapod combat and would likely, eventually, be overpowered by the T.Rex.

Instead of Utahraptor, the video should have showcased Dakotaraptor. Dakotaraptor actually did live with tyrannosaurus and might have been a threat to juveniles.

Something to note is that utahraptor had a very different body shape and probably niche compared to other dromes, possibly including dakotah too. It was much more bulky, powerful, and heavily built meaning it would probably be hunting adolescent rexes.

I don't think that it's the issue of exteme T.rex fans thinking it could be beaten, more like extreme T.rex fans thinking tyrannosaurus always had the upperhand and higher chance of winning, in which against some dinosaurs during its time it did NOT. Tyrannosaurus was mainly after hadrosaurs not the deadly herbivores mentioned here.

That's why I think it wasn't included in the video, there's a lot of ifs (T-rex was larger, several tons larger, with its powerful bite, strategic mind, was also faster, etc. this advantages narrow with the other creatures in the video. For example, Ankylosaurus' armor can protect it from T-rex's direct hits, or Triceratops' superior speed), but the Therizinosaurus was without doubt a dangerous opponent if not dealt with appropately.

The Ankylosaurus, Triceratops and Alamosaurus definitely deserve their spot on this list. However the inclusion of Utahraptor is questionable, since it can only realistically beat a juvenile. In my opinion, for something to be a T-Rex killer, it has to be able to kill a Tyrannosaurus in any stage of it's life, which the Utahraptor clearly can't. Also Dromaeosaurs, or Raptors as you refer to them likely could not use their claws for disemboweling. It is generally thought, that they used them like a dagger to stab their prey into vital areas, like the neck.
Another entry that is questionable is Purrasaurus, not because of its ability to kill a T-Rex, but because it is not a Dinosaur. Your title clearly states that you will be showing Dinosaurs. This would not matter if the title was changed slightly, but as it stands, the inclusion of Purrasaurus conflicts with the title.
A few statements were also a bit questionable, such as the Ankylosaurus hitting the T-Rex in its head. I don’t know if an Ankylosaurus had enough range of motion in its tail, to go for the head. Besides, it could just go for the tyrant's leg, which you showed in the video.
All in all, the video contains some good points, and the models you use in the diagrams are pretty good as well. There is some bad and outdated stuff in here, along with a couple of questionable statements. The vibe of the video is also a bit "awesome-broified", but I guess that is just to captivate younger audiences. Overall not bad.
It's been more recently noted that Raptors likely attacked more like modern birds of prey. Being completely covered in feathers they likely could climb trees and glide down on their prey, using their talons to grab and pin their food while they bite at it and flap their arms. Therapod dinosaurs are just birds after all.

When writing, I was just thinking of the fighting dinosaurs specimen, where the Velociraptor has it’s leg extended towards the neck of the Protoceratops. In an old documentary, they said that the claw was built for stabbing instead of slicing, and that they would use them to attack weakpoints such as the neck. But again, that documentary was old, so certain information is definitely outdated. I'd also say that pinning and stabbing aren’t mutually exclusive, but yes I fully agree with your statement.

To those Spino fanboys who grew up with JP III; Spinosaurus was not bigger than Tyrannosaurus rex, it was longer, but it didn't weigh as much. When it comes to size in animals, weight and mass is the deciding factor. That is why Elephants are the largest living land animals, even though Giraffes are taller, they are not as heavy or massive as Elephants. Also, unlike T. rex, Spinosaurus was not adapted to hunt large herbivores or compete with large carnivores. Spinosaurus was adapted to hunting fish. Spinosaurus also didn't have as strong of a bite force as Tyrannosaurus rex, one bite from the T. rex and the Spinosaurus is dead.

I agree with the Ankylosaurus. I wouldn't say it would easily kill it outright unless it was really in a pinch, or managed to hit the rex in Just the right place to snap it's neck. But it could definitely maim the therapod, and stop it from hunting, thus sending it to death, ala Walking With Dinosaurs

While T. rex never encountered Utahraptor, there was a large dromaeosaur called Dakotaraptor that did live alongside Tyrannosaurus rex. They shared the same habitat and prey, and it's likely Tyrannosaurus juveniles might have been suitable prey for this rare and elusive predator. Furthermore, Dakotaraptor was about 16-18 feet long and weighed between 600-800 pounds. It could certainly kill a juvenile T. rex in the same size range or smaller if it wanted to.

I believe that a T rex can bring down a Sauropod like Alamosaurus. From what scientists has discovered is that they have hunted in packs of 3 to 4, just like there cousin Albertosaurus, and the Allosaurus. Eventhough these animals can kill them, excluding the crocodiles, T rex is capable of bringing down large prey. For example, a pack of Allosaurus can bring down Diplodocus, Camarasaurus, Apatosaurus, & Stegosaurus. They can't bring them down by themselves. So if T rex was to bring down a Sauropod, they'd have to hunt in packs, and work together to bring them down alongside Triceratops, Ankylosaurus, & many other herbivores that lived alongside them.

Ankylosaurus is not as powerful as you think... First of all, the bone skin of Ankylosaurus is called Osteoderm in scientific terms. Crocodiles, armadillos and many lizards have this kind of skin, it is not armor, and the thickness is only 0.1cm to 0.4cm , It can't stop the strong bite force of the Tyrannosaurus at all. The tail hammer of the Ankylosaurus is too short, and the tail can only swing left and right, not up and down like the BBC said. , The reason why tyrannosaurs rarely hunted Ankylosaurus is simply because the number of Ankylosaurus is too small, and it is difficult to find by tyrannosaurs.

One of the reasons I really enjoyed Walking with Dinosaurs was the episode where the (Allosaurus?) got sliced along the hip by a herbivore, I didn't think much of it until it went into the concept of infection and bleed out. Animals got it rough, but at least the herbivore gets the last laugh

Akylosaurus was such a badass and definitely one of my favorite dinosaurs back when I was just a little kid.
As far as other dinos that could've killed a T-Rex, I would also add stegosaurus to this list as well as any other extremely large sauropod that could've absolutely squashed a T-Rex.
(nerd warning)🤓 In my opinion the stegosaurus wouldn't be able to kill a T-Rex, but I think the stegosaurus can survive a T-Rex attack. You see the stegosaurus doesn't really have good defense, those dorito chips on its back while being durable by themselves the thing that connects them to the stegosaurus's skin are somewhat flimsy. "Ok" you might be saying but how about it's spined tail, well it is true that it can be used just like the Akylosausrus's tail it wont be even half as effective since the spines are pointing upwards, kinda. So that is why I don't think the Stegosaurus can't defeat a T-Rex, but who knows the T-Rex and Stegosaurus didn't even exist with eachother they're approximately 80 million years apart, so even if they wanted to fight it would never happened. (I just seriously spent 30 mins researching this instead of doing my homework, boy am I dumb)

The ankylosaur, stegosaur and triceratops with the tail club, thagamizer and head spikes respectively could quite effectively kill a rex. The ankylosaur could bash the Rex’s skull into bits, the stegosaur would impale the rex through the skin and possibly organs with that thagamizer and the triceratops could skewer the tyrannosaur’s throat with a spine

An experiment carried out revealed that the raptor's claw would probably not be used to cut but to pierce, probably being used to pierce an enemy's throat. And I think this video would be better if it talked more about animals that actually lived with Tyrannosaurus. And sauropods are the closest we have to kaijus in real life.

An animal that I believe that could kill a fully grown rex would be Deinosuchus. This was a giant alligator with a much stronger bite than T.rex, it an ambush predator that has a similar hunting style to their modern counterpart.

A Tyrannosaurus Rex would not likely win a fight with an adult Triceratops. They (if at all) would’ve killed a triceratops via Ambush and most likely would be juvenile/old/sick or young Triceratops. Although a Tyrannosaurus Rex actively hunting a Triceratops is mostly fantasy. They most likely lived in coexistence much like Rhinos and Lions. The risk of taking on an adult Triceratops is not in an adult Tyrannosaurus Rex’sfavour. Much like an adult Male lion trying solo a Rhino. The Lion much like the Tyrannosaurus Rex would more than likely not make it out alive or if it did, the Tyrannosaurus Rex would succumb to its injuries while a Triceratops would have minor injuries.

I’m very disappointed that the ankylosaurus was not as strong in the JP franchise. It’s club was just super weak compared to the real life counterpart, and I get that the InGen version is different but it just feels like plot convenience for the hybrids
For real, ankylosaurus would have killed the indominus with that singular head smack.
Probably if hit right, a Stegosaurus could kill a T rex with it's spikes on its tail.

I am a T-Rex fanboy. But you’re also spitting facts. And in my opinion being able to triumph over these T-Rex killers on the reg only makes it that much more badass.

I feel its to unsafe for themselves. If they kick with all their power, there is a chance they'll break their own foot / toe.
Also with Ankylosaurus.. I dont think they would ever aim for the head... its too small target = too risky target.

I'm thinking that learning to avoid the only dangerous and protected part of the Triceratops directly in front of it, and instead attacking the extremely vulnerable rear and flanks could be a thing to any experienced predator

I always figured T-Rex Vs Triceratops was a 50/50 battle. The two titans clashed regularly, and their margin for victory was thin. They have found fossils from both that that looked like they had killed the other one.

Attacking a healthy adult Triceratops would have been way too risky for a Rex to attempt, as you can see in the video. It almost certainly preyed on old, sick and juvenile Triceratops, like predators prefer to do with their prey today.
