I'm wide open and not restricted on the software side so I don't have these issues and she'll do 90mph all day.. good video I know you meant well dispite the negative comments but sorry to be the Bearer of bad news it's not a hack it's a feature built into freightliners and is set by the company. C.R England for example also has this feature that when you reach 62mph all you do is mash the accelerator 3x and the tractor will go from 62 to 67 but will only last 30 minutes so just do yourself a favor and leave swift and go to a company that have higher governed speed on their tractors or save up money and get your own rig and you can run it how you want.
I had a 2019 international RH with a 10-speed manual gov at 54 with Jake brake automatically coming on at 57 I learned to bypass simply set your cruise control on before you hit 57 bamn you're free to go as fast as you want on the downhills

Pass smart. Used for passing. Something tripped me out though.... I drive for Crete. We were governed at 62 pedal/65 cruise. They recently announced a speed increase to 65/68. All of a sudden, today my cruise throttle/cruise took me up to 65/68! I didn't have to go to a shop or anything....somehow they increased my governed speed automatically from a computer!!! 😮😮😮😮😮😮
My 2018 Cascadia sends info to the shop in the case of a malfunction that turns on the MIL light. So, yes, they can send out a signal to either set the governor speed higher or lower. Alot of cars are on the internet these days. I have a car that can be tracked if you are logged in as the owner. Scary if you a female in an abusive relationship.

It's called "Progressive shifting" if you are reaching the fuel mileage goals set in the computer it will give you some extra MPH for a while as a reward for your fuel economy.
Unfortunately he didn't bypass anything. He set the cruise which is set higher then the max non cruise. Brilliant. In detroits peramiters you set each to whatever the owner wants.
Forgot to mention that all swift trucks do that for a short period of time so you can pass but it cuts off after awhile. Pass smart I think they call it of I remember right?
Did anyone tell you yet that this is a feature on Freightliner for years now? It’s called PasSmart. It’s a feature you can enable by going from 0% to 100% on the throttle a couple times and your company can decide how long you get it each day. You can have up to 250 minutes a day
Hey swift driver that's not a trick it's called bypass and you can activate once every 6hrs on most Cascadia models it's meant just for that reason that you described. But the fact that you had to mention that you figured it out on your well kudos to you. It was public knowledge to begin with. Happy swifting.
Well, what you " learned" on your own is called " psSmart". And....of you push the ecelerator down only twice, you don't need to push the "RES +" button at all. That will give you 30 minutes of driving at whatever top speed your tractor is set at. Im governed at 72 and passport gives me 77. Haven't calculated how the reset works yet or if there is a way to override the amount of time but if/when I do....I'll let yall know

I also drive for Swift and all this video did was make us look like we should be wearing helmets while we drive.

I have a permanent fix. Disconnect the wire from back of transmission. Then you can run 100 mph. Of course the elof wont log you driving, but tradeoffs lol

It's actually called pass smart all swift's trucks are set up that way lol you can run 62, 65 with cruise control and that's called pass smart you get it for a little while then it shuts down now I have a way you truly can bypass it I worked for swift for about 8 months and always cruised at a steady 70-72
I hate a governed down truck because it’s humiliating when trying to pass someone especially if they decide to leave you out there in the granny lane trying to pass but instead holding up traffic. With a faster truck you move outta harms and get around others smoothly👍🏽

Ya that’s actually a computer program called pass smart. It’s not bypassing anything. Owner operators can make all decisions including total time it allows a driver to be going above the governed speed in a Set amount of hours. So that you can pass multiple trucks like that over the duration of an eight hour. So if in an eight hour period of time you use the 40 minutes in one long 40 minutes straight you are stupid because you’re going to be sitting next to a truck when you could’ve utilize the program that is meant to be there for safer driving. You didn’t figure anything out you just found a program that was designed for people who could drive. Nice nice try though. You should either take this video down or rename it as how to activate pass smart on a Freightliner Cascadia.

I used to do that in a old pete with a cat they had governed at 75. No eld back then I just used the tack to keep track of speed.
I tried it on another pete that had a cummins and it didn't work.
