The way I see it, it's a deeeeep destructive _ one side love story between Lilian and Madison. She sacrificed her future to make her happy, and yet waited 10 years doing nothing but dreaming of the day that she can rejoin her. The jealousy from Sen Robert, the way that she wanna keep the kids, and more, all re signs shows this wild love.
